Hua Changle, dressed in a black robe, reached out and opened the cage of the treasure-hunting rat.
The treasure-hunting mouse remained oblivious to the fact that the cage was open.
Hua Changle extended a finger, and a wisp of gray-black energy drifted out, like a ghost, and entered the body of the treasure-hunting rat.
"Suckling." Hua Changle called out.
The treasure-hunting mouse obediently put down the corn in its hand and turned around.
Those black eyes lost their luster and became completely black.
Hua Changle extended his finger, twisting and turning it: "Follow."
The treasure-hunting mouse obediently followed along, performing various actions.
Hua Changle nodded in satisfaction: Success!
Mental invasion + soul control.
That grayish-black energy was a fusion of Biin's nether attribute energy and colorless spiritual power.
Hua Changle controlled the Treasure-Seeking Rat, which had weak energy and no will to resist, with ease.
This way, you can remotely control the mouse to return on its own.
With everything ready, Iris arrived, and the two of them sneaked out of the Cultural Relics Protection Bureau in the dark.
Iris, a guard from the Cultural Relics Protection Bureau, figured it out during the day. In addition, the two of them had considerable cultivation, so no one noticed when they went out.
The two got into the car arranged by Wei Liang and soon arrived at the back entrance of the discount department store.
The supermarket is unmanned 24 hours a day, but it's still brightly lit.
However, due to the poor order in Zone 7 and the considerable danger of traveling at night, the supermarket was almost deserted. Only one other staff member would walk around the backyard a couple of times.
Flower Joy and Iris headed straight for the back door.
Upon reaching the back door, the two men, dressed in black robes, hats, and masks—a truly mysterious sight—rang the doorbell.
A short while later, someone opened the small door on the main door, revealing a pair of eyes: "Who is it?"
Iris lowered her voice: "To do business."
The person inside said impatiently, "It's the middle of the night, the boss is asleep. Come back tomorrow during the day!"
Iris added, "We do business in the dark."
The man paused for a moment, then his tone changed: "What quality?"
Iris said, "A rare and fresh thing."
The door slowly opened: "Please come in."
The two successfully entered the backyard.
The man led the two men to the room where the mule was: "The boss is inside."
Iris stepped in, followed closely by Hua Changle.
There was more than one person inside. One of them, a burly man, blocked the two men behind a partition. He turned and said to the person inside, "Boss, the person has arrived."
The old mule's voice came from inside: "What kind of business do you two want to do?"
Iris raised her hand and placed the cage on the table, pushing it forward: "I heard that Boss Mule takes anything, let's see if he can take this one."
The big man retracted the glass of the cage, and after seeing what was inside, he went inside to talk to the old mule.
The old mule's voice came through again: "It's definitely a good product. What price are you looking for, boss?"
Iris sneered: "I'm not short of money."
The old mule said, "We can barter, or we can... exchange information."
"Oh? You can exchange information here, boss?"
The old mule caught the unusual word: "Also?"
Iris said, "I have visited the Heavenly Mystery Pavilion, but unfortunately they are unwilling to talk about it."
The old mule chuckled softly, "It seems the information you're asking for isn't something just anyone can provide."
"Otherwise, we wouldn't have brought this treasure out to exchange."
Old Mule chuckled softly, "Tianji Tower doesn't dare say it's because they're standing too high, and falling would hurt too much. Boss, why don't you tell me? Maybe I can give you the answer."
Iris said calmly, "I want to know which of the eight princes will not serve the Hua family."
The air suddenly became quiet.
The old mule remained silent, and the burly men's gazes were extremely intimidating.
The iris is as stable as Mount Tai.
After a long while, the mule said, "Friend, this information isn't expensive, but you might not be able to afford the price of knowing it."
Iris smiled and said, "Fortune favors the bold."
"Why doesn't your friend make the judgment for himself?"
"The risks must be kept within a controllable range."
The old mule was silent for a moment before saying, "Boss, you are highly skilled and daring, but let me remind you, what you know now may be just right. Knowing more will not do you any good."
"It's not like we'll make the mule owner pay the price!" Iris's voice was tinged with impatience.
The old mule concluded, "I'm sorry, friend, this deal doesn't seem appropriate. Please leave."
After saying that, the big man brought the treasure-hunting rat back.
Iris seemed angry and impatient. She stood up abruptly, thought for a moment, and then said, "Okay, boss, let's each take a step back."
I know you, Mr. Mule, are quite close to these gentlemen and know a great deal about their businesses. I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction; consider this treasure a gift to you.
The old mule thought for a moment, then asked, "Why are you so fixated on that kind of business, friend? Business hasn't been good lately."
An alarm bell rang in Iris's mind; she knew that Mule had become suspicious.
The iris remained as steady as a rock, showing no panic and calmly handling the situation.
"When has business ever been easy around here? When has anything really gone wrong? So what if it's not easy? It's easier to fish in troubled waters!"
The old mule laughed after hearing this: "Friend, you have a good heart! Since that's the case, I'll show you the way. Consider this little darling as me being your friend."
Iris generously replied, "I'm glad the mule owner doesn't mind."
The old mule accepted the treasure-hunting rat and told her about two paths.
"That's all the advice I can offer. Whether the deal goes through or not depends on your own abilities."
Afterwards, Iris bid farewell to Hana Changle.
The two drove onto the ring road. After Hua Changle confirmed that no one was following them, they turned off the highway and went to the riverbank.
