She was still wearing black summer shorts and a sleeveless cropped top.
The arms, shoulders, and neck have smooth, fibrous muscle lines that hug the bones, with a restrained strength that doesn't show off, leading to a lean waist and long legs.
His well-proportioned physique and muscles, though not exaggerated, are the result of more than a decade of dedicated training.
Chang Le was sharpening a knife; the blood grooves on the knife had just been cleaned with snow, but the scratches on her face and body had not yet been treated.
She had just emerged from the secret trial grounds of the Dragon Tomb.
The Dragon Tomb Secret Realm is an incomplete small world, unable to nurture and sustain normal life, yet its territory is vast, comparable to another Central Plains. Within it lies a special training ground, seemingly intended for the descendants of dragons to undergo trials, but because of the Dragon Pearl and Fu Guang's adverse scale, Chang Le is also permitted to enter and cultivate.
The trials were perilous, and venturing into the secret realm was not as easy as most outsiders made it out to be; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that she faced a near-death experience.
If Chang Le's ability to devour any energy to replenish himself wasn't possible, if this energy weren't used to heal his injuries, if he hadn't once fused with Biin and possessed powerful self-healing abilities, if he didn't have multiple powerful superpowers...
If it weren't for having so many extraordinary trump cards, Chang Le would have died countless times already.
But it does have an effect.
Apart from the incomplete fusion of the [Formless] ability and the inherently weak [Water Droplet] ability, all of Chang Le's other abilities—[Inhalation and Spit], [Ten Thousand Thunder Technique], [Ice Moon], [Network], [Netherworld Summoning], [Mental Ability], [Instant Teleportation], and [When Alone]—have all reached the ninth rank.
Among them, even those at the Super Ninth Realm must be extremely careful when facing [Swallowing and Spitting]. Under the extreme burst state of [Ten Thousand Thunder Technique], they can temporarily contend with those at the Super Ninth Realm.
In terms of overall strength, Chang Le is already the number one person below the ninth realm.
"I'm heading to the [Agricultural Mystic Realm] next," Chang Le said, sheathing his sword and looking at the words "Fu Guang".
"【Agricultural Mystic Realm】is the only divine-level secret realm that originated in the Central Plains itself. Perhaps there, I will find the opportunity to touch the threshold of the Super Ninth Realm."
"Once I get out of there, I plan to go to the Zhu Men base first to bring Xue Wuwang and the others back. They've been away from home for a long time, seven years... the same amount of time it took me to leave you and return to District Nine. They must really want to come back."
Chang Le rambled on, her fingers gently tracing the gilded characters:
“I’ll pick them up first. Fu Guang, you and Lao Mu wait a little longer. When I’m able to enter the no-man’s land, I’ll come and pick you all up so that everyone in the Dragon Sect can be reunited.”
“Oh right,” Chang Le smiled, “When I pick you up, I’ll take you to see [Space]. There’s a person in there who looks a lot like Dad. Then I’ll take you to the Mysterious Realm, where we grew up together. It hasn’t changed at all. I’ll take you there again.”
"Is it alright, brother?"
Chang Le paused for a moment, then nodded: "Okay, I'll take your silence as a yes."
Then, she revealed a hint of smugness: "I knew you would agree; you never deny any of my ideas."
After another long silence, Chang Le hugged his knees, leaned against the stone tablet, closed his eyes, and rested for a long time.
A gust of autumn wind swept through the bronze archway, across thousands of miles of yellow sand, and brushed against his hair. Only then did Chang Le open his eyes again, turn his head to look at the stone tablet: "I plan to leave tomorrow and go to the Mystic Land of Agriculture."
She leaned over and gently kissed the gilded mark: "Brother, I will come back safely."
The following day, Chang Le bid farewell to the Dragon Sect members and headed to the [Agricultural Mystic Realm], located at the border of District 5 and District 4.
The structure of the [Agricultural Mystic Realm] is similar to that of the [Creation Mystic Realm]. The outer perimeter has been developed and can be entered with an application, but dangers still remain.
The most deadly thing is the legendary poisonous miasma, a naturally formed poison array that creates a natural barrier around the entire inner area. Even those at the eighth level with poor poison resistance would die from poisoning before even reaching the inner area if they rashly entered.
After entering, Chang Le roughly studied the poison array and gained a sense of its importance.
This poison array is not a kind of energy, but a mixture of toxic substances volatilized from various poisons. It cannot be solved by simply devouring or other supernatural abilities. Unless one can control the toxic creatures within a range of tens of millions of miles in a very short time, it will not be effective. However, only those with suitable supernatural abilities at the ninth level can achieve this.
If swallowing doesn't work, then the only option is to detoxify.
Unfortunately, the most poisonous person in the entire Central Plains was in the Dragon Sect, namely the so-called "Poisonous Woman" Granny Wu. Before leaving, Granny Wu gave Chang Le a lot of poisons and antidotes. She even gave him pills specifically for this poisonous miasma.
The old witch said that she was studying this poisonous gas when she ventured into the Mystic Realm of Agriculture years ago, and was accidentally poisoned. She was helped by the Dragon Emperor in her moment of crisis, which led to a good relationship with him, and she later joined the Dragon Faction. The old witch happens to have a solution to this poison.
Chang Le broke through the poison array without expending too much effort.
The poisonous miasma was indeed potent. Even with the witch's help, some residual poison remained in her body, but the small amount was enough to be absorbed and internalized.
Chang Le adjusted his state and entered the inner circle.
Three months later, on a solitary platform atop a mountain.
Dark green vines intertwined and wrapped around, forming a giant green cocoon. Energy overflowed and then converged within, causing the golden patterns on the outer vines to appear and disappear in sync, as if breathing in unison.
Suddenly, the dark green vines made a "crackling" tearing sound, and then ten almost black tentacles, like smoke and mist, squeezed a hole out of the green cocoon and rushed out with a whooshing sound.
