Chapter 123 Past Mysteries

When the knocking sounded, Hua Changle had just finished washing up and was replying to messages from Kulaiyi and Hua Anning at the same time.

Who is it?

"Your brother."

Hua Changle was stunned: The sun has risen in the west? Hua Xiange would actually refer to himself like that?

I always felt he should—

He gave a wicked smile: "Your ancestors!"

Hua Changle chuckled at her own imagination, said "Oh," and went to open the door.

"Would it be convenient for you to come in? I've brought you some money."

Hua Changle didn't understand, and opened the door: "You can come in."

Hua Xiange walked into this room that she hadn't entered for more than half a year.

The room looks almost unchanged; it's still colorful and vibrant, with all sorts of colors, like sleeping in a rainbow.

Especially those ugly-cute green dinosaur sets, they haven't changed at all.

He walked up to the green dragon chair, lowered his eyes, glanced at the small green dragon doll of the same style, picked it up, and plopped down on it.

When Hua Changle turned around, he saw him sitting on an ugly-cute chair that was completely different from his own style, holding that doll in his hand, and the way he was sitting...

It feels like the green dragon is about to be strangled.

Who holds a doll by the neck with one hand?

Does he have a grudge against the little green dragon?

Hua Changle casually picked up the milk that Zhou Liang had just brought and sat down opposite him:

"Second brother, is something the matter?"

Hua Xiange, who had been pouting at the green dragon, looked up and saw her drinking milk. Her pupils contracted slightly: "Where did she come from?!"

"What?"

Hua Changle thought he was referring to the green dragon: "Hasn't it always been there?"

Hua Xiange frowned: "I didn't ask you about this greenish stuff, I asked you about milk!"

Hua Changle pouted, barely suppressing the urge to retort that it wasn't called "greenish-blue," and then realized:

"It was delivered by Butler Zhou. I'm not used to drinking it at night, so I asked him to deliver it during the day instead."

Hua Xiange's breathing became heavier. He suddenly reached out and snatched the milk, placing it on the cabinet behind him.

"Don't drink it anymore."

"Why, why?" Hua Changle looked at her expectantly; she liked it!

Hua Xiange said, "What I mean is, the kind we have at home isn't very good. I know a better one, I'll order it for you, and you can heat it up and drink it yourself later."

He looked at him with disdain: "You're such a grown-up, don't always ask others for help. You even have to ask that old man Zhou Liang to heat up some milk."

Hua Changle: "..."

Or, why don't I just take over Zhou Liang's job as the housekeeper?

She had a gut feeling that something was wrong, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Since there was something even better to drink, she stopped thinking about it.

"By the way, second brother, you haven't said what it is yet."

Hua Xiange said, "We've been invited to do a photoshoot for a new series from the 'Shan Hai' brand. 'Shan Hai' is a brand that mainly features ancient Chinese style. Nian Jingliu and the other person have also been invited. Do you want to go?"

Hua Changle hesitated, "But I don't know how..."

"What are you afraid of with me here?"

She thought for a moment, "Ancient Chinese style, that's the kind of clothes Bai Xie likes. I can bring one back for Bai Xie while I'm at it."

"Then I'll listen to my second brother." Hua Changle smiled obediently.

Hua Xiange, however, showed no joy whatsoever.

He stared at her for a few seconds, then suddenly reached out and pinched her cheek: "That smile is so fake!"

Hua Changle winced in pain and couldn't help but glare at him, but it really had no effect.

Hua Xiange chuckled, "Don't pretend to be well-behaved in front of me. I prefer you to be a little crazy."

Hua Changle extended the question in a strange tone: "Brother, you... are you a masochist?"

After giving her instructions, Hua Xiange left without lingering, taking her glass of milk with her as she went.

Hua Changle didn't pay attention and turned back to sending messages.

While we were chatting, a message popped up from our new friend "Qiao Apiao".

As usual, Zhou Liang inspected various parts of the Hua family mansion. In the main kitchen of the main house, he saw an empty milk glass and a milky white liquid in the sink next to it.

Zhou Liang's face darkened: "Sister Li..."

"Don't call her, I'm going to collapse."

Hua Xiange's languid voice came from behind.

Zhou Liang turned around and met Hua Xiange's teasing gaze:

"Uncle Zhou is indeed getting old; he didn't even notice that this good-for-nothing is behind you."

Zhou Liang slowly raised the corners of his lips: "What the Second Young Master says is true. I am getting old, but the Young Master is getting younger and younger."

Hua Xiange's expression changed, and she took a few steps forward, staring at him:

"Zhou Liang! Stop downplaying the issue! She's been obedient enough, what more do you want to do?"

Zhou Liang's smile remained unchanged: "Miss is not in good health and needs to take good care of herself."

"You fucking!"

Hua Xiange grabbed his collar and shoved him against the cabinet behind him.

A cold glint flashed in Zhou Liang's eyes, but he suppressed it again: "Second Young Master, please calm down."

Hua Xiange loosened her grip, but didn't back down verbally:

"Ha, you actually listen to him. He told you to come out into the open, and you actually laid down your butcher's knife and became an obedient puppet!"

Twenty years ago, if I had dared to glare at you, you would have killed me half to death. Now... you won't even utter a sound, will you?

Are you still the same person you were back then, the one whose blade, drawn from the shadows of the Hua family, always draws blood?

Zhou Liang spoke calmly:

"The second young master said it was back then. Their status was different in the past, so naturally they had to be handled in different ways."

Hua Xiange snorted coldly.

What a pretentious act!

If I hadn't seen Zhou Liang's cold demeanor and cruel methods when he was their instructor, I would have truly believed his seemingly respectable and virtuous appearance!

"Second Young Master, your temper is now even worse than Fifth Young Master's."
