Chapter 478 She Haoyun's End; This Time, the Sun Will Not Shine.

Chang Le turned her head and saw him. His face was flushed from the strong liquor, and the expression in his eyes was unclear against the light.

I felt an eerie low pressure all over my body.

She Haoyun walked over and circled her once: "Are you alright... your eyes?!"

He looked up and met a pair of blood-red eyes. He was momentarily dazed, but when he looked again, he realized that they were just bloodshot, not that the eyes had changed color.

He felt he had misread it.

Chang Le didn't say anything, but he didn't loosen his grip at all. His toes were on the man's lower back. If he stepped down again, the man's lower body would be ruined.

She Haoyun realized that Chang Le was not in a good state, and subconsciously lowered his voice:

"Chang Le? Lele? I'm here. Shall I take you back? I'll handle these people. You should go back and rest first."

Chang Le didn't speak, but slowly released his foot. She Haoyun had just breathed a sigh of relief when he was suddenly pushed against the wall.

His back slammed against the wall with a solid sound, and She Haoyun gasped in pain, only to find that Chang Le had picked him up again and was dragging him forward by the neck.

Seeing that she was about to go downstairs, She Haoyun quickly stepped forward to stop her.

If he were dragged downstairs, the enforcement team would immediately come after Chang Le.

She Haoyun grasped Chang Le's wrist and tried to persuade him.

Chang Le wouldn't listen to him at all, but he didn't lay a hand on him. He just pushed him away again and suddenly raised his foot.

"Don't kill him!" She Haoyun cried out in fear.

Chang Le landed with one foot.

"Snap!"

"ah--"

The person, who was half-dead, fainted from the pain.

His right leg was twisted and paralyzed on the ground.

Chang Le withdrew her foot, wanting to make another move, but She Haoyun rushed over and grabbed her, almost encircling her, and whispered words of comfort, telling Chang Le to leave her to him to handle.

After much persuasion, She Haoyun finally managed to get Chang Le into the car.

Chang Le huddled in the car, her whole body radiating a murderous aura, her killing intent undiminished. She Haoyun took a wet wipe to help her wipe the blood off her hands, but she suddenly reached out and grabbed his neck.

She Haoyun held her hand gently, without applying any force, patting it lightly with a comforting tone.

In just a couple of breaths, Chang Le suddenly came to his senses, stumbled open the car door, and leaned against a tree by the roadside for a long time, but did not vomit.

Chang Le retched until tears welled in her eyes, and was suddenly supported by She Haoyun.

But by now, most of the bloodshot in her eyes had faded. She Haoyun knew she had regained her senses. After a while, seeing her downcast expression, he asked what had happened.

Chang Le spoke in a hoarse voice: "I kicked Hua Yuezhi."

She Haoyun was stunned.

Wasn't Hua Yuezhi seriously injured and unable to walk?

Chang Le looked at him and said, "I kicked him off his wheelchair."

She Haoyun patiently inquired, guiding her to confide in him: "Why did you do that?"

Chang Le's eyes turned icy: "He's a piece of trash!"

She Haoyun's question triggered Chang Le's emotions, and she spoke with a mixture of agitation and coldness:

"He didn't make a single mistake during the mission. The mission's failure was not his fault at all. He suffered the most painful consequences. He is the biggest victim here. He deserves the best treatment, the most compensation, and the highest reward! But now he's sitting in a wheelchair and everyone has forgotten about him!"

They said they would find someone to replace him, that they would help him find another position; they brazenly destroyed his ten years of perseverance! And yet he didn't resist!

"Hua Yuezhi! He actually accepted those people's high-sounding arrangements, he didn't even put up a fight, he actually thinks it's his fault, that he killed his comrades, that he failed others' expectations! How can that be! He's clearly not wrong!"

"He's a good-for-nothing! He only dares to accept the predetermined fate arranged by the Hua family! He only dares to sit in that broken wheelchair and eke out a living as a cripple! Ha! I'll make sure he doesn't get his way!"

"Fine, doesn't he pride himself on being the light of righteousness? Isn't he a hero of the Hua family with no negative rumors? Then don't let him fall halfway through!"

"Let him live his whole life clinging to his so-called responsibilities, reputation, honor, and status! I'll grant him that wish! He'll never escape this ridiculous clown!"

Chang Le was in a frenzy, his features were contorted, and his expression was one of utter derangement that She Haoyun had never seen before.

She mocked, insulted, was angry, and hated... but beneath all her expressions lay deep sorrow.

She Haoyun first saw Chang Le like this, and it was from that day on that she began to show scars on her body.

...

"What happened next was simple. Your insults to Hua Yuezhi became a slap in the face to those people, and Hua Yuezhi himself began to have hope for a cure. He miraculously recovered, returned to the military, and his power and status rose to a higher level."

She Haoyun looked at Chang Le with pity through the railing: "You succeeded."

That was the only time that Chang Le woke Hua Yuezhi up when he was so desperate that he wanted to give up on life.

However, this was also the only time that Hua Yuezhi might have had a chance to escape the Hua family's arrangements.

Chang Le ruined it.

Chang Le's kick restored Hua Yuezhi's confidence, but it also meant that he could only ever stand at the forefront of the Hua family and be the most upright and honorable member of the family.

From that moment on, Hua Yuezhi had no other choice and no way out.

Chang Le's expression remained unchanged, but the clenched hands on her legs revealed that she was not at peace inside.

As I listened to She Haoyun's narration, scenes I had never seen before but were familiar with flashed before my eyes, presenting the past that She Haoyun was telling me.

Love and hate intertwined in her heart, causing her heartache.

She Haoyun paused for a moment, then continued, "The second time was after Hua Xiange had an accident, and you stole Hua Qingyun's data from me again."

"That park at the Lunling Group was the second time you lost control."
