Chapter 606 She Has Someone Backing Her; Sky-Splitting Roar, the Limit of the Test

"Some adjustments have been made to the arrangements for the period leading up to the young master's return:"

First, Ziguiti must conduct a thorough investigation and control of this incident and online public opinion, and must work with the official authorities of the Central Earth Region.

Together with other cooperating state media, they control the international public opinion situation.

Secondly, Luo Xuan intensified his negotiations with the major families in the region to finalize details as soon as possible, and to continue optimizing the investigation plan for the mutants, in case of any unforeseen events in the future. The mutants have existed for more than ten years, and it is impossible for them to be completely unaware of them.

Third, some of the research and development resources under Changfeng's leadership have been diverted to drug development, primarily focusing on treatments and recovery drugs for mutants. Cooperation with the Seven District Nine Dogs Association, Huajia Lunling Group, and Mengjia Chunquan Medical Group is being strengthened to prevent casualties in the event of future wars or mutant attacks.

Fourth, Wan Buxun should strengthen ties with Districts Seven and Eight and the four major bases to fully prepare for any riots that might occur after the integration capabilities are exposed.

After making the arrangements, Granny Wu stood up. Her hunched back was aged yet resolute, and her eyes, etched with wrinkles, calmly and sharply swept over everyone at the meeting.

"Gentlemen, after two years, the Dragon Sect is about to rise again."

The tragedy of two years ago is still vivid in our minds. We have lost a great leader, and now a new leader is striving to emerge.

"Faced with the young master entrusted to us by His Majesty, and the heavy responsibility of the Dragon Sect's survival, I, this old woman, here urge you all to fulfill your duties, work together, assist the young master, and protect the Nine Districts!"

The old witch placed her hands in front of her and bowed solemnly.

Everyone else returned the greeting.

The brewing storm, which began three hundred years ago when the disaster struck, swept over the bones of countless people who had pursued the word "fusion," and fell upon the dragon head atop the Golden Palace of Qianyuan Mountain.

Several years ago, during the ordeal with Shen Fuguang, Chang Le was pushed away from the eye of the storm and remained in a daze, unaware of the storm's devastation.

This time, the storm came again, and there was no second Shen Fuguang to shield her.

Behind her, however, were many more people who were more fortunate than Shen Fuguang, and they relied on each other.

Chang Le could not foresee how many calamities the fusion he carried would bring, but at least for now, at least every moment, Chang Le was pushing himself forward.

Even if she has no home, even if the world is desolate, even if she has already gone mad... she can only keep moving forward.

Now, with people protecting her from behind, she is traversing the frigid, bone-chilling ice plains of the Northern Boundary, striving for final victory in the assessment.

The Kuafu mech advanced at full speed, with Ryan and Carson taking over the pilot and giving chase, determined to hold off or even kill Chang Le.

Chang Le, who was running for his life, suddenly leaped up and landed lightly on a piece of snow on a floating ice floe.

The Kuafu mecha stopped by the lake, its inertia kicking up a cloud of snow.

Ryan cautiously observed that they had arrived in the northern region of the Old Ruins of the Northern Boundary on the map.

Before us stretched a long, icy river, its banks lined with slender, silver-clad trees with gnarled branches. The river itself was covered in a thick blanket of snow, with parts of the central water frozen solid and others floating on ice floes, upon which snow piled up.

A touch of desolation, yet a beautiful scene.

Chang Le stood on a piece of ice floe stuck in the middle of the river, panting and exhaling puffs of white breath. Strands of blood seeped from his wounds, seeping into the ice and snow and flowing into the river.

Carson said warily to Ryan, "Young Master, this is the Mochuan River. There is a very rare species in the river called the Sky-Splitting Roar."

Ryan gripped the control handle tightly and whispered, "Do you think she's just trying to intimidate us into not daring to chase after us, or is she deliberately trying to lure us over and draw out the Sky-Splittering Roar?"

After a brief struggle, Carson said, "Young Master, I have a way to get through this."

Chang Le secretly calculated the time, observing the mecha's movements, while vines dangled from behind him into the water.

Suddenly, the Kuafu mecha fired a cannonball at Chang Le from behind, and then took a step forward.

Chang Le, however, unexpectedly jumped directly into the icy cold river water!

The Kuafu mecha crashed into the shallow water near the riverbank, and the explosion of the shells stirred up a flurry of snow and ice, obscuring Chang Le's figure.

As Ryan and Carson were searching for Chang Le's location, a sudden tremor occurred beneath their feet.

In the mech's field of vision, two long, tentacle-like fleshy tongues shot out from the ice and snow, striking the hard metal shell of the mech with two sharp "clangs," like powerful crossbow bolts.

Ryan was shocked to see the alarm on the mech system. Could this be the Sky-Splitter? Its attack power was so strong! It could even break through the mech's metal shell!

The Kuafu mecha was about to leave when two fleshy tongues shot into its relatively fragile joints, damaging them and causing the mecha to stagger and kneel on the shore.

At that moment, a huge white shadow broke through the water!

It was a creature that resembled a polar bear.

It is pure white, but its limbs, abdomen and back are covered with countless light blue hard spines of varying lengths. It has two antlers of the same color on the top of its head, similar to deer antlers, but with sharp tips and edges as sharp as knives.

Even more bizarre were the facial features: a gaping, blood-red mouth occupied most of the face, and a nose covered in a fleshy membrane protruded forward.

Where eyes used to be, they are now gone, replaced by two dark red holes. From these holes protrude two long, supple fleshy tongues, covered with countless tiny openings.

This is a dangerous-level mutant, the Sky-Splitter Roar.

Without hesitation, the Sky-Splittering Roar burst forth from the water, its hard spikes expanding and elongating like a white pufferfish, crashing heavily into the mecha. The mecha's hard outer shell was instantly torn apart, leaving only the inner layer.

The Roar of the Sky crashed down again, and Ryan and Carson risked their lives, their legs broken. Only after the Roar of the Sky tore off one of Kuafu's legs did they finally collapse onto the riverbank.
