Hua Changle nodded and raised his hand to push the door open.
Before she could push him away, Ye Buqi's hand covered the back of her hand, the icy temperature startling Hua Changle: "What's wrong?"
Ye Buqi's eyes were deep: "The memories I can recall are a mix of good and bad, and they might not be pleasant."
"It's okay," Hua Changle smiled, "I'm not afraid of pain!"
Ye Buqi pressed her hand and pushed open the door.
The door opened, and Hua Changle suddenly found her heart pounding like a drum.
What could it be?
Could this door be the lock?
The door opened, but Hua Changle was stunned: "What's this?"
Surprisingly, it was a rather luxurious but quite normal bedroom.
The room was large, but the most striking feature was the walls covered with photos. Every wall had photos on it, more or less.
Some are for two people, some are for many people, but without exception, they all contain two faces.
The tender flowers are always joyful, and the Dragon Emperor Shen Fuguang.
Ye Buqi gently pushed her back: "Go inside and take a look."
Hua Changle floated in as if walking on cotton, and floated to the photos on the wall.
There are only two people in the photo in front of her.
The long-haired man in the ancient-style robe lowered his head and looked at the little girl in front of him. His usually aloof and unconventional features were unexpectedly gentle, and beyond that gentleness, there was also a hint of tenderness and pride.
He stretched his hand out in mid-air, as if to wipe something.
In front of him stood a little girl.
The little girl was dressed in a neat black and white martial arts outfit, her long hair was tied up on top of her head, and the loose strands were tied up with a green hair ribbon.
She was covered in wounds, stained with blood and mud, as if she had just crawled out of a mud pit.
What's most striking are her eyes, which are resolute and fierce, like a wild little wolf cub.
The wild look in his eyes contrasted sharply with his expression.
Hua Changle looked at the handwriting under the photo with a complicated expression. It read:
"In 378, the first place in the wilderness survival battle, captured by Mu Liangchao."
The year 378 of the Natural Disasters Chronicle was ten years ago.
The people in the photo are eight-year-old Hua Changle and Shen Fuguang.
“Mu, Liang, Chao…”
Hua Changle was a little dazed.
The name sounded strangely familiar to her.
Ye Buqi said, "Mu Liangchao is the first protector of the Dragon Sect. We call him 'Big Brother' among our own people."
The Xue Wuwang you've seen ranks third. They were two of the first four to follow Shen Fuguang.
Mu Liangchao.
May good fortune prevail, and may the dynasty be prosperous and auspicious.
"Where is he now?" Hua Changle asked subconsciously.
Ye Buqi replied calmly, "The same as Shen Fuguang."
Hua Changle's face turned pale.
Ye Buqi added, "Of the four protectors, only two remain now."
The third brother, Xue Wuwang, is imprisoned in the Zhu Men base's black jail; the second brother, Chen Wusui, is currently the deputy director of the Cuiwei Institute of the research lab.
Hua Changle stared at the person in the photo, about to ask, "Is this me, or...?"
Or the original owner?
That's right! Ye Buqi!
Hua Changle hurriedly looked at all the other photos, one by one, but he didn't see Ye Buqi's picture!
Hua Changle asked her somewhat anxiously, "What about yours?"
"What?" Ye Buqi asked in confusion.
"Photos! Why aren't yours in them? Haven't we known each other since childhood? Didn't we grow up together in District 9? Or is it..."
Hua Changle's lips trembled slightly: "The person who grew up with you isn't me?"
Ye Buqi gently patted her head, soothingly saying:
"It was you who saved me, who grew up with me, who I've always been with, and who I want to protect.
"What about the original owner?" Hua Changle asked in a trembling voice.
Ye Buqi asked with a puzzled expression, "Who is that?"
Hua Changle's pupils constricted.
Ye Buqi's certainty, and the memory of the little Ye sister who helped her when she was wandering, proved that it was she who was with Ye Buqi, and it was she who had feelings for Ye Buqi.
However, she did become the owner of this body only after the original owner committed suicide!
What happened to the original owner?
But what world does she actually come from?
She was her when she was a child, she was the original owner in the middle, and is she her again now?
The body hasn't changed, but the soul has?
"Chang Le, you've arrived."
Was the original owner's statement not an illusion, but rather something that prompted them to say it?
The soul is replaced and returned? Is that it? Is this the truth?
"And this photo."
Ye Buqi's voice interrupted her thoughts.
Hua Changle looked up and saw a large group photo with fifteen people.
Among them were people she knew: Shen Fuguang, herself, Iris, Luo Xuan, Xue Wuwang, Huan Bo...
"etc!"
Hua Changle glanced at it, then his gaze suddenly fixed on it, and he became strange.
She suppressed a laugh and pointed a finger: "Who is this punk rocker?"
It's no wonder she laughed; the person's appearance was just too jarring.
The floral print top with butterflies was incredibly vibrant, with a V-neck that plunged to her stomach, and a heavy silver necklace dangling over her full chest.
Earrings, cartilage studs, eyebrow piercings, and embellished broken eyebrows—these are nothing special.
The key is in the head!
The eye-catching seven-colored rainbow hair, with hair roots as sharp as needles standing upright on the head.
In the world of fashion, this person is a trendsetter, so trendy it's dazzling.
He had a world-weary look in his eyes, a beauty mark under his eye, and bright red lips and white teeth. His smile was unrestrained, one arm draped over the aloof man beside him, and the other hand making a heart shape with his fingers towards the camera.
A conspicuous bag of solid evidence.
Ye Buqi said, "He is Mu Liangchao."
Hua Changle's smile froze on his face: "...Who?"
"He's the eldest brother."
