The moment her fingers gripped the clothes, the child suddenly turned around and threw a punch.
Mu Liangchao was startled and reached out to catch it: "Good heavens, you repay kindness with enmity?"
The child didn't stop moving; he kicked again, aiming straight for Mu Liangchao's groin. Just as Mu Liangchao dodged, a dagger was thrust at his throat.
Mu Liangchao had no choice but to loosen his grip on the collar.
The child turned and ran away as soon as he was released.
"Ugh!" Mu Liangchao frowned as he looked at the trail of blood. "Are you out of your mind?!"
He caught up with the child in a few steps, grabbed him from behind and strangled him with his arm, while his other hand swiftly restrained the child's hand that was reaching for the dagger.
"Don't move, I won't hurt you!" Mu Liangchao shouted softly, and the child stopped moving his other hand.
His dog-chewed hair was spread across his face, emitting an indescribable odor. Through the gaps in his hair, a pair of fierce eyes were captivating.
Mu Liangchao's interest grew even stronger, and he no longer cared about his slight obsession with cleanliness.
"Hey, let me finish. I think you're a good match for me. Do you want to come with me? I'll be your master," Mu Liangchao said with a gentle smile.
However, Mu Liangchao, who thought he was being gentle and sincere, was completely unaware of how unconvincing his actions of choking and grabbing hands were.
The child reacted even more violently, twisting his body sharply with a "crack," dislocating his arm that was being held, and taking advantage of Mu Liangchao's momentary lapse in concentration.
He grabbed the arm around his neck and bit down hard, biting down fiercely and refusing to let go.
"Aaaaaah—" Mu Liangchao let out a scream that broke out in his throat.
"Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap, let go, let go, let go!"
Mu Liangchao subconsciously grabbed and pulled the child's hair back, trying to pull him away.
Before they could separate them, Mu Liangchao was stunned when he caught a glimpse of the child's face: "Wow, it's a little girl?"
"Crunch!"
They bit harder.
"Aaaaaah—Help! It's biting—"
Mu Liangchao burst into tears and shook his head.
In the comic, the child flies up and down in the air like a noodle, following his movements.
He swung it hard, and the child couldn't hold on, falling to the ground. He then got up, clutching his stomach, and limped away.
Mu Liangchao didn't bother to chase after him. He rolled up his sleeves, looked at his bruised and bleeding arm with teary eyes, and was furious: "I was such a busybody! The farmer and the snake, Mr. Dongguo and the wolf!"
"Mu Liangchao!" Shen Fuguang suddenly ran over.
"Oh my god, look at me! Look how badly I've been bitten..." Mu Liangchao was eager to complain, but was interrupted by Shen Fuguang.
"Where's the little girl from earlier?"
“Run…wait a minute! How did you know it was a little girl?” Mu Liangchao asked in shock.
"They ran away?!" Shen Fuguang frowned, looking anxious.
Mu Liangchao stared in disbelief; he had never seen Shen Fuguang like this before: "Um, she..."
He had barely opened his mouth when Shen Fuguang turned and ran away, chasing after him in the other direction.
"Sigh..." Mu Liangchao's bleeding hand was still in front of his chest, and his mouth was still open, "I..."
The cold wind howled, making it all very desolate.
"What on earth is going on?!" Mu Liangchao stomped his foot angrily, leaving a trail of furious footprints on the ground.
But he had no choice, so he continued to chase after them.
The two followed the blood trail, but the trail suddenly stopped. Shen Fuguang insisted on continuing the search, and they searched until dark, but still couldn't find the person.
Just as they were about to leave the town, Shen Fuguang stopped, his hands trembling as he braced himself against the cold wall.
Mu Liangchao was completely bewildered: "Old Shen, what exactly happened?"
Shen Fuguang turned to him and asked, "What does that little girl look like? How old is she?"
Mu Liangchao was puzzled, but he still tried to recall and said:
"I just noticed a hint of green in his eyes, oh, and his hair was probably greenish too. Age? Five, six, or seven? I can't tell… Hey, Lao Shen, what's wrong with you?"
The usually calm and collected Shen Fuguang almost lost his footing, his eyes revealing a palpable panic.
"...Find her! Find her!"
Shen Fuguang's voice trembled.
Mu Liangchao was startled by his appearance: "Oh, okay, let's look for it."
"Wait. She's badly injured, and her body is full of blood energy. Let me try to sense it."
"Hurry up!" Shen Fuguang urged.
It snowed for three days, and everywhere was covered in snow.
Seven-year-old Chang Le lay prone under the plastic shed, the snow that had slid in melting into the water beneath her. The water seemed very thick, probably mixed with blood, but she was too weak to tell.
Excessive blood loss from her abdominal wound, coupled with hypothermia, left her completely powerless to move.
She just lay there.
Like a stray dog dying on the roadside, with only its belly rising and falling weakly, it pathetically proves that this life is still alive.

Chang Le knew what death meant.
But she didn't seem afraid at all.
Like the day waiting for the night, she simply waited quietly for death.
Chang Le's breathing grew weaker and weaker, and his consciousness was slowly slipping away from this world.
Suddenly, she was lifted into the air.
Before losing consciousness, Chang Le glimpsed a pair of misty eyes, a pair of very beautiful eyes, more dazzling than gold.
I don't know how much time passed.
Chang Le never imagined she would wake up again.

Her vigilance spiked to its peak in an instant, and she tried her best to escape, but her weakened body only made her bounce comically like a fish on a chopping board.
