Only Jiu Fanggui ran to the front.
Jiu Fanggui turned around in surprise: "What happened?"
Gu Yujing reached out, and an invisible wall blocked their way, preventing them from entering this land.
Qin Xian didn't seem too surprised: "As expected, this is our end point. We can't leave here."
Jiu Fanggui's eyes were cold. He turned around, strode over, took Chang Le's hand, and walked forward.
Chang Le stopped in his tracks, and Jiu Fang turned back.
An invisible wall separated the two people on either side.
“Sir, I’m sorry,” Chang Le forced a smile, “I can’t make it, I can’t go home with you.”
Jiu Fanggui held her hand tightly, his eyes filled with determination: "Come with me."
Chang Le shook her head with a wry smile: "I can't go with you, sir. I'm leaving. You must have noticed by now."
Jiu Fanggui's lips trembled slightly as he clenched his teeth: "I don't know which world I'm connected to you from, or which period of time you came from. But you weren't doing well there, were you?"
Chang Le's eyes reddened.
"Stop Jiu Fanggui!" Rong Jichang shouted, and his supernatural ability [Dark Decomposition] spread in this direction.
“Leave it to us.” Gu Yujing pulled Qin Xian forward.
Jiu Fanggui turned around and looked at her:
"When I first saw you, I felt an inexplicable sense of closeness. Later, when I was investigating the Ten Thousand Thunder Technique, I sensed that we were closely related."
It's chaotic here, that's why I brought you with me.
Jiu Fang Gui gently wiped away the tears from Chang Le's eyes:
"Lele, tell me, what is our relationship to you? Brother and sister? Siblings? Father and daughter? Hmm..."
Could they be mother and son? Or mother and daughter? Surely not... sisters?!
With tears welling up in her eyes, Chang Le laughed through her tears: "Sir! You're still teasing me at a time like this, sob sob..."
Jiu Fanggui chuckled, but his eyes were filled with sorrow and he couldn't manage a smile. He suddenly reached out and pulled Chang Le into his arms: "You are my precious daughter, aren't you? My Lele."
Chang Le clutched his clothes tightly, craving that illusory yet real warmth, but after several attempts, she became too awkward to call out and felt even more uncomfortable.
He hugged her tighter, his voice slightly hoarse: "It's all Dad's fault, making my Lele suffer."
Chang Le couldn't hold back her tears, but quickly stopped crying and forced herself to calm down.
She had to move forward with this history, and she had to ensure that Jiu Fanggui and Ye Xiao could leave smoothly.
She wiped away her tears and pushed Jiu Fanggui forward: "Go! You have to go!"
Jiu Fanggui wanted to turn back, but Chang Le stopped him:
"Don't look back! Keep moving forward, don't look back! I don't want you to watch me disappear..."
Jiu Fanggui stood on that ravaged land, facing the wasteland of the Ninth District three hundred years ago. His silhouette, along with the setting sun and the wasteland, was imprinted in Chang Le's eyes.
She could no longer return to that place that could be called "home," even in this illusory yet real world.
"Sir, please take me home."
