Chapter 379 An Ning and Chang Le's First Meeting

After a moment, he shook his head:

“I don’t understand what you’re saying. I’ve dedicated most of my emotions to your mother, you know that.”

"To be honest, I admire Chang Le, but I have to put the Hua family first. I've handed her affairs over to you and the other young people. I won't do anything more; that's our agreement."

Hua Anning said, "Then please, don't hide such a critical matter in the future."

“I know you’re afraid of bothering me, but I’m sorry, I trust Lele more than you think.”

Hua Lihan paused for a moment, then spoke:

"Anning, I don't think I've ever asked you why you treat Chang Le so specially?"

"Your temperament is as cold as the Hua family, but you're different when it comes to her."

Hua Anning was somewhat lost in thought, a complex expression appearing in her eyes.

"Dad, do you remember when I was just about to go back to the Hua family?"

Hua Lihan nodded.

At that time, Hua Anning had just been found and was preparing to return to the Hua family. Before her official return, she had visited the Hua family several times.

At that time, Hua Anning met Hua Changle. After that, Hua Changle clearly started having problems, and the finger was pointed directly at Hua Anning.

But the rest of the Hua family didn't know what had happened back then.

Hua Anning sat down, her gaze seemingly returning to a day more than a year ago:

"That day was the first time I met Chang Le."

“I heard that she publicly said at a banquet not long ago that she would not allow me to return to the Hua family. I felt that she was hostile to me, but I didn’t care.”

Until one day, the Hua family held a small party to warm her up before she returned home.

Hua Anning left the main villa looking for a quiet place to handle her business, but she couldn't find her way to the dance hall.

She wasn't in a hurry, so she just followed her instincts and kept going.

"I was passing by a building when I saw a person sitting on the railing."

"She was wearing a green dress, and her hair and eyes were green; she seemed to melt in the wind."

That was the first time I met Lele. She was very pretty, and surprisingly, she was very cute.

Hua Changle, who was sitting on the railing lost in thought, seemed to notice the gaze. She looked down and saw the aloof girl in the black dress below. She glanced at her coldly and then looked back up at the sky.

Like a cool, aloof cat sitting on a railing.

Hua Anning wanted to test her personality and also ask for directions, so she said, "Hello, miss, could you tell me how to get to the dance hall?"

Hua Changle didn't look at her, but stretched out his arm and pointed.

Hua Anning chuckled to herself, thinking: Her personality is quite awkward!

She watched the girl sitting on the railing, on the third floor, her skirt swaying precariously in the wind, and kindly said:

"Miss, this looks beautiful, but it's a bit dangerous. Please be careful."

"Wordy."

His dark green eyes drooped coldly, the half-open eyes sharp in their curves, carrying a hint of world-weary aloofness.

Hua Anning ignored her and turned to walk forward.

"Hey! What's your name? You look unfamiliar." Hua Changle suddenly called out to her.

Hua Anning hesitated for a moment, but still said her name:

“Anning, that is my name.”

"Hello, Hua Changle."

Those dark green eyes suddenly widened.

Hua Anning witnessed the girl's transformation from aloof and world-weary to experiencing intense emotional fluctuations.

She rushed down from the railing.

Hua Anning was startled, and only when she saw the vines at her feet did she retract the whirlwind in her hand.

Hua Changle rushed in front of her, and in the middle of that dark green, a bright flame was burning. Hua Anning interpreted it as anger at the time.

"You are Hua Anning?"

"Why did you come back? What brings you back?"

She immediately launched into a tirade, but Hua Anning disliked her attitude and frowned, coldly replying, "In the Hua family, who wouldn't want to squeeze in?"

Hua Changle looked at her absurdly: "You want a title like that too?"

"Aren't you a top genius, a weapon master, a member of the Tower of Healing, a composer, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage... a whole bunch of titles? Why did you come back? Isn't the outside world enough for you? Why did you have to come back?"

As she got closer, Hua Anning noticed that her eyes were bloodshot, her body was trembling and her gaze was unfocused when she spoke, and she was clearly in a bad mood.

Hua Anning sensitively noticed that her emotions were off, so she restrained her temper and tried to calm her down:

"Don't get agitated, I won't argue with you about anything..."

Before she could finish speaking, Hua Changle became even more agitated and grabbed her arm:

"Why the hell did you come back if you didn't want anything? What's so great about this place that you all like? If I came, would you come too?"

"What are you saying! Calm down!"

Hua Anning, having been yelled at, also lost her temper. She shook off her hand and said coldly,

"Let's talk about it when you're sober."

She turned to leave, but then there was a "thump" behind her.

She turned her head sharply and found Hua Changle lying on the ground, pale-faced and clutching her head, muttering something.

"What's wrong?" Hua Anning hesitated for a moment, then squatted down to ask.

Hua Changle suddenly raised her head, her hair disheveled, her face covered in cold sweat, her eyes filled with terror, and her voice trembling:

"I can't remember! I can't remember anything! I can't remember anything at all! I've completely forgotten! Help, I'm going crazy, I think I'm going crazy... Am I going crazy...?"

Hua Anning frowned. She wanted to leave, but because of Hua Changle's status, she couldn't just leave him there. So she reached out to carry him to the front to find someone.

She had just reached out her hand when Hua Changle suddenly grabbed her arm.

Large, hot tears fell onto her arm.
