If it weren't for her pale face, Iris would hardly believe that everything that happened last night was real.
The person who was in so much pain last night, feeling like they were about to die, is now able to smile.
The iris stood there dumbfounded.
Hua Changle tilted her head in confusion: "What are you doing? Did you oversleep?"
Iris stared blankly out the window; the sun was high in the sky, something that had never happened before.
Iris turned back again, looking at her with disbelief, extreme worry, and confusion. Her expression was so complex that she seemed rather dim-witted.
Hua Changle chuckled and pinched her cheek: "What's wrong? Still half asleep? I haven't even asked yet why you're sleeping next to my bed?"
Iris's brain part returned to her skull: "I...no, I...how could I have fallen asleep?"
She was perfectly alert and stayed by the bedside the whole time, and then...

How could I have fallen asleep?

Hua Changle smiled and said, "Are you worried that I'm overdoing it and getting tired?"

Iris frowned, still somewhat doubtful: Really? Was there blood on Le Bao's clothes when he came back last night?
Over there, Hua Changle went into the bathroom, and after closing the door, her smile vanished.
She washed her face and looked up to see herself in the mirror.
His facial features remained unchanged, but the details around his eyes, eyebrows, brows, and mouth conveyed an unfamiliar indifference.
"Samadhi."
She uttered the name softly.
Her heart contracted as if it had just been revived, and the stinging pain added a touch of life to her face.
Hua Changle stroked her normally beating heart, looked at herself in the mirror, and smiled.
A smile played on her lips, but tears welled in her eyes.
An unseen heart, like a blood-stained red rose.
