"Happy birthday to you..." Wang Yao sang loudly to the two of them.
After blowing out the candles and making a wish, Wang Yao awkwardly took out two gift boxes he had made himself out of greeting cards and handed them to the two of them:
"Ahem, don't mind, I made it myself, and I bought the ingredients myself."
Ye Buqi was about to open it when Wang Yao rushed over and pressed her down, pleading, "No, no, no, wait until you're not in front of me before you open it! Please!"
"Is this some kind of prank or something to scare me?"

Xiao Changle's chest heaved violently, his big, round eyes bloodshot: "They hit you again?! Let's report them!"
"It's no use." Ye Buqi pulled her back, smiling indifferently.
“They are my biological parents, as confirmed by my DNA test. What good will reporting them do? They'll just get a lecture, and then I'll be sent back to them, only to be even worse the next day. It's useless.”
"But we can't just let them beat you like that!" Xiao Changle cried, tears streaming down her face. "Your hands are all like that."
