They actually barged into the Dragon Sect's territory?
This person's movements were unpredictable and elusive. Chang Le held his breath and focused intently on finding his location, but his sluggish breathing aggravated his internal injuries, causing him to cough twice.
The person behind me suddenly moved; he was getting closer!
Chang Le turned around swiftly, her fist crackling with lightning as she slammed down, but the man grabbed her wrist with his bare hands, ignoring the exploding lightning.
Chang Le was prepared and quickly twisted his wrist to get away. He swung his hand back and quickly retreated, but he stepped on a small stool and fell backward!
She reacted quickly and reached back to brace herself against the ground, but a dark shadow flashed before her eyes. The person had actually crushed the lightning and rushed over, quickly reaching out!
Chang Le instinctively dodged, but couldn't brace himself in time and was about to fall flat on his face.
With one hand protecting the back of her neck and head, the man rolled over to dissipate the force, and both of them were unharmed.
Chang Le lay on the ground, stunned.
Are you kidding me!
It was all done like an assassination, and yet they still protected her?
Who is it?
Chang Le realized she might have misunderstood the man's intentions. She jumped up and was about to turn on the light to see what he looked like when he suddenly darted over. This time, Chang Le didn't dodge.
Unexpectedly, this person grabbed her shoulder, his claws were like iron, and Chang Le couldn't move her shoulder. He twisted her around.
"What...ah!"
Chang Le had just opened his mouth when he was caught off guard and struck on the back with a palm. A burst of energy rushed into his body from his back and then suddenly burst out!
"puff--"
Chang Le felt a churning in his chest and spat out a mouthful of slightly dark-colored stagnant blood.
Before she could react, she suddenly realized that the tightness in her chest had disappeared, and the blocked meridians caused by the shock during the competition that day had also been cleared.
This person is helping her heal her wounds!
As soon as he let go, Chang Le turned around.
Hmm? A chest.
Chang Le looked up and saw a tall, dark figure, as black as a ghost.
"Turn on the light." Chang Le turned on the light, closed his eyes briefly, and then slowly opened them again, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Hey! Where is everyone?"
The dark figure in front of me has disappeared!
Chang Le looked around and found someone huddled in the gap between the kitchen door and the refrigerator, hidden in the shadows and not exposed to the light.
Chang Le was stunned for a moment, then realized something, and turned off the light again. Sure enough, the person came out again, slowly walked in front of her, and looked at her quietly with his head down.
"You don't like light?" Chang Le asked.
He nodded.
Chang Le could barely make out his features by the moonlight. The silver light outlined his sculpted face, revealing him to be a cool and aloof young man.
Chang Le suddenly chuckled: "You're Ghost Blade, aren't you?"
He nodded.
Chang Le looked at him in surprise, never expecting to meet one of the elders of the Dragon Sect, Ghost Blade, in this way.
Chang Le looked at the tablecloth scorched by lightning, the clothes splattered with blood, and the floor, and felt somewhat helpless: What kind of mess is this!
"Please have a seat. I'll change my clothes and rinse my mouth first. Please wait a moment."
Chang Le quickly changed out of her blood-stained clothes and wiped the blood from her mouth. When she came out, she saw that Gui Dao was sitting upright on the sofa, just as she had been before she left, without moving.
Hearing her come out, Ghost Blade turned around, his dark eyes reflecting an eerie silver light in the night.
Ghost Blade's gaze followed her as she sat down.
Chang Le inexplicably felt that he was kind of cute.
"Ghost Blade?" Chang Le spoke up first. "Luo Xuan said you'd wanted to come see me for a long time, but you were too busy. Did you come over as soon as you finished?"
Ghost Blade remained silent, but nodded.
Chang Le noticed that he was acting strangely, but instead of asking him why he wasn't speaking, she said what she wanted to tell him:
"Thank you for rushing over so late at night, and thank you for helping me heal my wounds."
Ghost Blade lowered his head and shook it.
Chang Le knew he meant "You're welcome".
"I'm sorry, I don't remember anything about you yet, but I can sense that I'm not a complete stranger to you. We've known each other for a long time, haven't we?"
Ghost Blade nodded.
Chang Le's eyes flashed, and he asked again, "I want to know, between you and Xue Wuwang, who did I meet first?"
Ghost Blade raised a finger and pointed to his own nose.
"So I've known you for a while longer." Chang Le laughed as he saw him pointing at himself.
This person's movements were strange, unpredictable, and mysterious, but his personality was somewhat dull. When he stood there, he was like a cold and loyal black dog.
Chang Le looked at him and said, "Luo Xuan said today that you and Xue Wuwang would never betray me. When I heard that during the day, I found it unbelievable, but now, looking at you, I suddenly feel that it's not impossible."
Ghost Blade suddenly looked up, opened his mouth for the first time, and uttered a single word:
"Joy, joy... joy..."
Chang Le exclaimed in surprise, "You're calling my name!"
Ghost Blade stopped talking and nodded.
"Are you telling me that Luo Xuan is right?"
Ghost Blade uttered a second word: "Hmm."
“Then I believe what he said.” Chang Le chuckled.
Ghost Blade hesitated for a moment, then suddenly stood up and pointed to the bedroom.
"What's the meaning?"
Ghost Blade pointed to the night sky outside again, then pointed back to the bedroom and looked at her.
Chang Le guessed, "Are you telling me to rest?"
Ghost Blade nodded.
"So, are you staying here tonight or going back to the Golden Palace?"
Ghost Blade pointed to the floor, then to the door.
Chang Le struggled to decipher his "pantomime" in the darkness: "Oh, you'll stay here."
Ghost Blade raised his hands and made a "push forward" gesture. Chang Le had gotten used to his gesture: "You mean you want me to fall asleep first?"
