Wang Yao led the two men a long way away, handed them over to the arriving reinforcements, and then quickly returned. Upon returning, he discovered...
Siqiong, Silin, Mugan, and Maotou were already bound by Lei Guang and lay in a row beside him.
Looking up again, wow! Chang Le and the leopard-man were locked in a fierce battle, leaping and bounding about.
The two were so fast they left afterimages as they fought from left to right, from the ground to the ceiling. Chairs, cabinets, tables, and light bulbs shattered and crashed all over the place, and even several bags of cement powder were scattered, like a house being torn apart.
Wang Yao grinned, waved the flying cement with his hand, and complained, "Hey lady, take it easy with your lightning, don't set this place on fire, it'll explode!"
Chang Le snorted in response, then rolled over and squatted down on the windowsill, tilting his head to look at the leopard-man on all fours on the ground. He even had time to complain to Wang Yao:
"He's really not human! When he gets really angry, he just collapses on all fours!"
"Let's capture these magical creatures and study them!" Wang Yao said, bringing his hands together and separating them in front of him, as a yellowish-brown light swirled around him and seeped into the ground.
"The power of the earth, the transformation of soil!"
As soon as the leopard-man landed, his agile body suddenly became sluggish and he stumbled. The flat cement ground beneath his feet had turned into rugged, uneven yellow earth.
In the instant his center of gravity lost its balance, Chang Le swiftly struck, the lightning array rising and falling, trapping the leopard man inside! He struggled desperately, but could not break free from the restraints formed by the lightning.
Wang Yao dusted himself off and walked over with Chang Le, looking at the person lying on the ground, howling and going mad like a wild beast.
"Hey buddy! Can you understand human language?" Wang Yao tapped the ground with his foot.
The leopard-man suddenly raised his head, his eyes wide with rage, baring his fangs and glaring at them, mumbling incoherently, "Die...die..."
“The good news is he can speak human language,” Wang Yao shrugged. “The bad news is he’s an idiot.”
Chang Le chuckled helplessly, reached out, passed through the lightning, and grabbed the leopard man by the back of the neck, preventing him from breaking free despite his struggles.
Chang Le immediately activated [Inhalation and Exhalation] to probe into his source, but as soon as he sensed the dense supernatural power, a chill suddenly ran up his spine.
For some unknown reason, the leopard-man suddenly unleashed a powerful force, smashing through the lightning array with his head bleeding and his body covered in blood, and charged into the nearby pile of cement, raising a cloud of dust.
Chang Lexin sensed something was wrong. Wang Yao, with his sharp eyes, spotted a splash of red: "I'm leaning against his stomach!"
Dust billowed everywhere, and the leopard-man's clothes, torn by lightning, clung to his body. On his bare abdomen, something resembling a red crystal flickered every second.
Looking at the dust in front of him, Chang Le had a thought, and immediately grabbed Wang Yao and ran: "There's a bomb—"
Flames erupted behind the two men, and they didn't even have time to get out of the warehouse!
Wang Yao swiftly grabbed Chang Le's shoulder and activated the Earth Escape Technique, causing four earthen walls to rise in front of the two of them.
"boom--"
The first explosion was accompanied by flying blood and flesh, and the outermost earthen wall bursting open.
Wang Yao's pupils dilated in shock, and he quickly said, "You go first... Hey!"
Just moments before the second and third explosions rang out from all directions, Chang Le grabbed Wang Yao's wrist and threw him out of the warehouse.
"Chang Le—" Wang Yao was in mid-air, his pupils reflecting the figure engulfed by the towering explosion.
