Chapter 41: Has the Defense Broken? Past Events

Jin Wanguan blurted it all out in a trembling voice:

"I...I...my wife! My mother, my two daughters, uh, my lovers! All, all...ah!"

A punch landed on his eye, a kick landed on his stomach; Hua Changle was panting heavily.

"I'm sorry, I really can't stand it anymore!"

After another beating, Hua Changle took out a pair of silver rings and put them on his wrist.

The silver ring tightened automatically, releasing an intense, unidentified electric current that coursed through his body. Jin Wanguan shuddered and slumped down.

Hua Changle stood with her hands on her hips, staring at the dead man on the ground. Her eyes gradually turned cold. Suddenly, she raised her hand, and a sharp, cold light flashed across her face!

"Aaaaaahh ...

Heart-wrenching screams accompanied by spurting thick, sticky blood.

Two legs, strangely draped on the ground.

Hua Changle gently brushed away the crimson on his face, expressionless: "Now that's what a scumbag should be like."

"Lele".

The gentle call snapped her back to reality, and she realized that Mingxi was still beside her.

She looked at him with a complicated expression, but Mingxi seemed oblivious, his expression unchanged.

As if he didn't see the horrific state of the person on the ground, he simply pulled her away to a clean spot, took her hand, and asked, "Lele, does your hand hurt?"

Hua Changle was taken aback and turned her head away: "It's nothing."

Only then did she realize that the sky seemed to have cleared up.

Just then, a chilly feeling suddenly came over me; it turned out that it had gotten dark again...

Wait! It's getting dark?!

Alarm bells rang in Hua Changle's mind. She pulled Mingxi behind her, turned around, and met a pair of silver-white eyes that were inches away from her!

Holy crap!

How did this guy get behind her?!

Hua Changle was so nervous she could barely breathe! Her blood seemed to freeze!

What about Bai Xie?

Where are you all?

Aren't you guys fighting the big boss?

Everyone's gone, what are you fighting for?

All twenty of you can only do gua sha! What the hell am I supposed to do when I'm all alone?

A strange, silvery-white eye flickered, and Hua Changle's heart leaped into his throat:

It's over! I'm doomed!

"Le...uh!" Mingxi had barely opened his mouth when Hua Changle covered his mouth.

Hua Changle winked at him frantically: My goodness, what's so funny!

What time is it? Can't you see the current situation?

You better not say a word!

Mingxi's questioning gaze shifted, meeting those empty, silvery-white eyes.

Hua Changle didn't see it, but in that instant, the flowing ink flashed across the silvery white, and the honey-colored eyes flashed with frost flowers, the two eyes seemingly merging into one another.

The man in black suddenly reached out, and Hua Changle's extremely vigilant state snapped abruptly. His extreme alertness turned into an impulse, and something inside his body was suddenly broken through, bursting out of his body!

"噈——"

The three of them were stunned at the same time.

Hua Changle's pupils constricted sharply as she stared in disbelief at the dark green vines piercing through the black-clad man's body.

A powerful life force slowly emerged through the narrow vines, causing her to feel pain as she was connected to them.

That's because he's full!

They're just bored and have nothing better to do!

Her vines, the newly recovered vines, actually broke through the defenses of the black-clad man that Bai Xie's twenty men had been unable to breach!

What, what's going on?

The man in black looked down at his wound, then slowly raised his eyes. His eyes, devoid of pupils, stared intently at her. His hand, which had been hanging by his side, slowly rose and reached out.

Hua Changle was about to resist when Mingxi pulled her into his arms:

"Mingxi?"

"Don't move!" Mingxi said in a deep voice.

Mingxi raised his calm and gentle eyes, looking at the man in black. His gaze suddenly sharpened, and he spoke silently:

"roll."

The man in black suddenly froze on the spot!

Just then, Kulei's voice came, and Bai Xie and the others arrived!

The man in black turned and fled quickly.

Mingxi then released Hua Changle. She turned her head and was stunned: "Huh? Where is she?"

She stared blankly at Mingxi, who blinked his big, innocent eyes.

"I ran away in fright."

"Huh?" Hua Changle's face fell in astonishment!

Do you want to hear what you're saying?

“Really!” Mingxi said vividly, “He reached out to you, I got angry, and I yelled at him, ‘Get out!’”

He raised his chin with an air of authority, then turned his head with an innocent look: "And then he left."

Hua Changle: "..."

The others who had just arrived and overheard: "..."

Kulei rushed forward, asking worriedly, "Are you alright? Where did this blood come from?"

Hua Changle gave an awkward smile and picked up his vine:

"Well, you might not believe it, but I managed to break his defenses."

Kulei: "?"

Bai Xie walked over: "We'll talk about it when we get back. The other villagers have already been brought under control."

After saying that, he glanced at Jin Wanguan, who was half-dead on the ground, and gave Li Jie a look. Li Jie went over and took the man back.

Everyone returned to Mingxi's courtyard. Mingxi sat obediently next to Hua Changle, while Old Xu, Xu Jin'an, and Jin Wanguan, who had broken both legs, sat opposite them.

"Hua Changle, you said that guy's defense has decreased, what's going on?" Chi Feng looked at Hua Changle.

Hua Changle recounted what had just happened:

"I'm sure I suddenly regained my powers, and because I just regained them, they're very weak."

Logically speaking, given the physical strength of that man in black, there should have been no way I could have hurt him, but I broke through his defenses with ease.

Therefore, I said that something must have happened to him personally, causing his defenses to become extremely weak.
