Chapter 1943 1951 [Uzo Corps Assembles]

Chapter 1943 1951 [Uzo Corps Assembles]

Saburo Izuka glanced at Maya Hashimoto and muttered to himself: What subordinates? As a witness who was forced to take a photo, he felt that the man in black clothes and curly hair was obviously "that thing" himself.

Izuka Saburo: "..." Could it be that Hashimoto Maya is still obsessed with Torimaru Naoko being "the one"? Could this guy be secretly in love with that woman?

Of course, Saburo Izuka only thought about it quietly in his heart and did not say these things out loud: every time he tried to deny it, Maya Hashimoto's reaction was so strong that it was terrifying.

So in the end, Izuka Saburo only refuted what Hashimoto Maya said: "Not really, you are exaggerating."

Through the rearview mirror, Maya Hashimoto, who was sitting in the back seat, looked at him sympathetically, with a subtle hint of "Don't take me with you when you are taken to the police station for training."

Saburo Izuka: “…” I’m so angry. Why don’t we discuss Naoko Torimaru?

As this thought flashed through his mind, he suddenly remembered the comparison in martial arts between himself and Maya Hashimoto, and Saburo Izuka immediately became alert.

He secretly dismissed this dangerous idea and sighed tiredly. Although he consciously tried not to be affected, it was undeniable that the previous topic dragged him back to the painful memories of the death of his idol and his companion, and the encounter with the terrible thing in person, and even being forced to take a photo with it.

Saburo Izuka was eager to get out of this terrible low pressure. Suddenly, he looked out the window and saw people and cars coming and going diagonally in front of him. It was very lively.

Izuka Saburo's eyes lit up: "What a coincidence, the park in front seems to be holding an event, let's go and join in the fun."

"I don't want to hear the word 'coincidence', and I don't want to join in any fun." Hashimoto Maya leaned against the relatively safer back seat, with a numb look on her face as if her soul had ascended to heaven. "By the way, do you remember that you are guarding me now?"

Izuka Saburo: “…” I really forgot.

"I don't know why, but I always feel like I'm more of an unlucky sacrifice than a guard." Izuka Saburo muttered, "Speaking of which, even the superior stopped sending people here. Apparently, he no longer cares about the guarding. In that case, what do you care about? - Escape is useful. In the end, everyone will die anyway. Even without 'that thing', we will die of old age. We might as well live one day at a time and enjoy life one day at a time."

Hashimoto Maya: “…” Such a stupid and unmotivated statement, but why does it sound so reasonable?

Never mind, it's better to have teammates who are bad than to backstab them. Sometimes he is afraid that the people around him are too motivated - such as the Irish gentleman who is committed to killing Oozo and Gin. In detail, that is the source of awakening disaster.

In any case, perhaps infected by teammates, Hashimoto Maya's buried heart actually poked its head out of the soil again.

He looked at the congested road and said, "I remember this road wasn't so congested before. What's going on today?"

Izuka Saburo: "Have you forgotten? There is a police presentation at the park ahead. It seems that Jiang Xia is in charge of the presentation. The lovely policewoman just now told me that I can go and show my support if I pass by."

"Jiang Xia's speech?!" Hashimoto Maya's heart skipped a beat and she instinctively said, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Take a detour!"

Izuka Saburo wanted to follow his instructions, but it was too crowded to turn around. So he left the car alone and looked at Hashimoto Maya in confusion: "Your relationship with that detective has improved, right? You traveled together from Hokkaido to Tokyo, and nothing happened on the way. Why are you avoiding him again today?"

Hashimoto Maya: "..." Oh, I almost forgot. There's no need to hide. There's nothing to hide in Jiang Xia. On the contrary, it's safest to be around him. At least there's no need to worry about being forcibly labeled as a murderer, like what happened in Hokkaido not long ago.

Hashimoto Maya leaned back in her seat as if nothing had happened: "I just said it casually. Just keep walking, don't worry about me."

"Oh." Izuka Saburo was still thinking about the request the policewoman had casually made to him, "Then let's go to the park to join in the fun?"

"No." Maya Hashimoto spoke faster than her reason.

Izuka Saburo: "..." What is your attitude towards Jiang Xia now? Can you please make it clear?

But since Hashimoto Maya said so, he didn't insist anymore, because he couldn't beat her.

Saburo Izuka continued to follow the slow flow of traffic, thinking that the day would pass uneventfully. However, just as he started, his eyes suddenly paused, and stopped at the middle rearview mirror, staring straight at Hashimoto Maya.

Hashimoto Maya noticed it immediately and asked alertly: "Why are you looking at me?"

The possibility of Saburo Izuka killing him is very low, but it is not impossible, so we cannot take it lightly.

But it turns out that Izuka Saburo just seemed to see something strange: "Why is there a cat behind you? When did it sneak onto the car? I didn't even see it at all."

"Cat?" Hashimoto Maya turned around suddenly and actually saw a cat lying on the headrest behind him, stretching out its claws to grab something around him.

Seeing Hashimoto Maya turning around, the black cat's snow-white claws paused slightly, and then continued to pull as if nothing had happened.

"Where did this cat come from? It looks familiar." Hashimoto Maya reached out to pick up the cat and take a closer look. As a sneaky member of the organization, his first reaction was to see if the cat had any surveillance equipment on it, rather than whether it looked familiar or not. Although he had already scanned it before getting on the bus, what if?

Unexpectedly, as soon as he stretched out his hand, the cat pressed the back of his hand and politely pushed him away.

Hashimoto Maya: “……?”

It's just a cat, how dare it hitchhike on a car so confidently?

After all, it was just a cat that was less than the length of his forearm, so Hashimoto Maya caught it easily. He stared at the cat and checked it, but found nothing wrong. So he opened the car door and planned to throw the cat into the green belt beside him.

Unexpectedly, the moment the door opened, a figure whizzed past him and rolled onto the seat inside.

Maya Hashimoto's hand holding the cat was knocked back heavily, and the car door was closed by the uninvited guest.

In the chaos, the cat disappeared. Hashimoto Maya rubbed her hands, shocked by what had just happened: cats are fine, but how come even people are starting to randomly hitchhike?

Hashimoto Maya looked over with caution and condemnation, fearing that a bomber covered in bombs might get into the car.

However, when she looked up and saw the man's made-up face, Hashimoto Maya froze suddenly, and the sound of blood flowing in her head made a buzzing sound.

But what was unexpected yet not so unexpected was that the woman who got into the car did not sit up straight and tidy up her clothes, and then turned her head to give him a gentle yet terrifying smile.

She looked even more alert than Hashimoto Maya, more like a frightened bird. The moment she sat down, she raised the muzzle of her gun and pointed it at me warily.
