Chapter 166 Another Seal

"I've waited for you for a whole day and night, shouldn't you give me an explanation?"

Qi Rong stood up, a dull pain in his chest causing him to furrow his brow slightly.

"Dad, get up and eat!" Zhuge Changdeng walked in carrying a food tray. "Oh, everyone's here."

He put down his plate and inexplicably felt that the atmosphere was a bit strange.

"What's wrong?" He approached Zhuge Hongming and asked in a low voice.

Zhuge Hongming ignored him and focused on the herbs.

"Dean, senior sisters, you're all here! My things are missing, have you seen them...?"

As soon as Mu Dong stepped in, he clearly sensed that something was wrong. Confused, he approached Zhuge Changdeng and whispered, "What's wrong?"

Zhuge Changdeng glanced at him, shrugged, and indicated that he did not know.

Qinghe and Qirong remained silent, the atmosphere growing increasingly oppressive, teetering on the brink of explosion.

Shen Xun suddenly stepped in.

He held a letter in his hand, glanced at everyone in the room, and finally fixed his gaze on Liu Yuntai. "Your letter."

Liu Yuntai thanked him for easing the awkward atmosphere and accepted the letter.

The letter was opened, and his eyes widened suddenly, his previously calm face instantly turning somber.

He put away the letter, trying his best to control the trembling of his fingertips, and said to Zhuge Hongming, "Please, senior, refine the pills as soon as possible. I beg you."

Before leaving, he gave Shen Xun a deep look, then turned and went away.

The low pressure inside the room did not change after Liu Yuntai left.

The standoff centered on Qing and Qi Rong was extremely dangerous and could erupt at any moment. Mu Dongshen, Xun, and Zhuge Changdeng wisely avoided getting close and instead ran behind Zhuge Hongming, peeking out to observe secretly.

Just when they thought a world-destroying battle was about to unfold, Qi Rong spoke the first words, shattering their illusions.

"I'm injured, my chest hurts so much."

Almost at the same time he uttered his last word, Qinghe's originally gloomy face instantly turned worried, mixed with anger and heartache, in a very unpredictable way.

The crowd secretly observing from behind Zhuge Hongming: "..."

Instead of watching a good show, I was fed a mouthful of dog food that was enough to choke me.

Qinghe had no time to care about anyone else at the moment. She took Qirong's arm and pulled him out. Though she called it a pull, the force was gentler than a breeze.

Having not seen a good show, the crowd immediately lost interest and decided to leave.

As soon as he stepped out, Mu Dong glanced at the small cauldron on the table and exclaimed, "So you're here!"

Just as he reached out, before his fingertips even touched the small cauldron, Zhuge Hongming slapped his hand away, saying, "Ignorant brat, how dare you touch this thing?"

The serious tone startled Mu Dong, who trembled. "So this little cauldron was dropped by you, Senior. I thought it was unwanted."

Zhuge Hongming snorted and took the cauldron and herbs with him.

"Just say you lost something, why are you yelling?" Mu Dong muttered under his breath, covering his hand, before walking out of the house. As he left, he dragged Shen Xun, who was still disappointed at not getting to see a good show, along with him.

Inside the side room.

Qinghe sat next to Qirong, expressionless and silent, but the actions of her hands betrayed her.

Qi Rong had several cracks on her chest, which were not visible on the surface, but her inner clothes were stained with some blood.

Qinghe carefully healed his wounds, the spiritual energy gathered in her palms flowing continuously into his chest.

Qi Rong, who had been looking down, kept his eyes on her fair fingertips. The once mighty and powerful God of the God Realm was now unusually obedient.

With a "ding-a-ling," the bracelet on Qinghe's wrist was revealed.

Qi Rong looked at the exquisite and antique bracelet, pursed her lips, and finally looked up at the person, grasping Qing He's wrist. "Don't bother, the injury caused by the barrier is something even I can't help you with."

However, the next moment, the wound on his chest slowly healed under the healing power of spiritual energy.

Qi Rong: "..."

Qinghe withdrew her hand and gave him a cool glance. "Now you should tell me what happened to your injuries, right?"

Qi Rong gazed into her eyes and remained silent for a long time.

A gentle spring breeze swept by, and the willows in the courtyard swayed their supple branches, dancing in the wind.

Two furtive figures slipped through the courtyard gate, hid behind the willow tree, and eavesdropped on the sounds coming from inside the house.

"Why can't I hear a sound? Could the battle be over already?"

Mu Dong put his hands on Shen Xun's shoulders and leaned against the tree trunk, muttering to himself.

Shen Xun wasn't as lewd as him. He only twitched his ear tips slightly and said, "The room is under a spell, so no sound can get out. Don't waste your energy."

Mu Dong couldn't help but feel sorry.

Shen Xun shook off his hand and prepared to leave. Mu Dong followed and chatted casually, "I feel a bit tight in my chest today, but I don't know why."

Shen Xun looked him up and down. “Your complexion is normal; you are neither sick nor injured.”

Mu Dong touched his face. "Really? Maybe I'm just overthinking it."

He relaxed and put on his innocent smile again, but the next moment, Shen Xun grabbed his wrist.

"You possess an unusual power. What have you been in contact with these past few days?"

Mu Dong thought back carefully, "It's nothing much, just herbs and daily meals."

Where are they?

Mu Dong: "People? It's you guys, there's no one else." He widened his eyes: "Am I possessed by evil spirits?"

Shen Xun pondered for a moment and said, "This power is very faint, but extremely gentle. It is not evil and will not cause any harm if it stays on you."

Mu Dong patted his chest. "That's good." He looked up at the sky. "Perhaps it's a reward from heaven for the good deeds I've done."

Shen Xun withdrew his hand expressionlessly, not wanting to linger any longer, and resolutely left.

The next day, at the crack of dawn, Zhuge Hongming summoned Qi Rong and arranged a private meeting with him.

But two people arrived.

Zhuge Hongming looked at the two who had reconciled and smiled slightly. "It seems that things have been cleared up."

Qi Rong turned her head to look at Qing He beside her. The two exchanged a glance, and all the words were left unsaid; the others could already see the truth.

Zhuge Hongming cut to the chase, saying, "There is another seal inside the Heavenly King Cauldron, so I cannot activate it."

Qi Rong frowned, looked at the small cauldron on the table, and gathered her spiritual power to probe it.

The small cauldron was activated by spiritual power, emitting golden light, but there was no sign of the seal being broken. Instead, it seemed as if a protective mechanism had been activated, and a sharp force attacked Qi Rong.

Qi Rong suddenly withdrew her hand, and the power disappeared with it.

This test revealed to him that the seal within the cauldron was far more powerful and terrifying than the barrier outside Yangqu Mountain, and that he was probably powerless to overcome it given his current physical condition.

Upon seeing this, Zhuge Hongming said, "It seems that we must find a powerful bloodline to break the seal."

Qinghe asked him, "Has Senior already made some progress regarding the bloodline of a powerful being?"

Zhuge Hongming shook his head, "If I had any clues, I wouldn't have only been able to see the Heavenly King Cauldron today."

The three of them fell silent for a moment.

After a long while, a commotion came from outside the door.

Two or three disciples gathered together and ran in the same direction.

Qing and the other two went outside, and casually grabbed one of the disciples, asking, "What happened?"

The disciple looked quite excited. "Young Master and Young Master Li are going to have a martial arts match, and we're on our way to watch."

The senior brother he mentioned was naturally Zhuge Changdeng, and Young Master Li was none other than Li Jiang.

Qinghe then remembered that there was an undecided duel between the two of them.
