A vast expanse of white.
Qinghe walked in a white space, there was nothing there, and after wandering around for a long time, she realized that she was dreaming.
Suddenly, several mirrors appeared in front of her, and the images on the mirrors were all the things that had happened to her since she transmigrated into the book, and all the people she had met: Li Jiang, Shen Xun, Mo Junqian, Mu Dong, and the people from Qingyun Sect.
Qinghe walked all the way to the end, where there was a huge mirror, bigger than all the mirrors in front of her. On it was a person, arrogant and unrestrained, lazily propping his head up and watching her.
His smile was like a ghost, enticing her to step forward, but the moment her fingers touched the mirror, it shattered like a phantom.
Qinghe was suddenly awakened, and the moment she opened her eyes, she felt a strong sense of unreality.
The room was quiet, empty, with only the fresh scent of fruit.
It took Qinghe a long time to come to her senses after lying in bed. There was still a dull pain in her chest. She got out of bed with difficulty, sat down at the table, and poured herself a glass of water.
Outside, the sun was shining brightly. Qinghe opened the window, and fresh air rushed in. Admiring the azure sky, she suddenly felt as if she hadn't seen such brilliant sunshine in a long time.
The streets were very noisy, as if there were many more outsiders around.
Arguments could be heard outside the door, but they vanished instantly when the door was opened and Qinghe was seen standing by the window.
Qing and Yi looked over and spotted a familiar figure among them.
What brings you here?
Qi Rong walked up to her, her flamboyant demeanor becoming much more subdued. "How are you feeling? Any better?" she asked, grabbing her wrist to take her pulse.
Qinghe: "You know I'm injured? Who told you?" His gaze swept over the others.
Qi Rong lowered her wrist, and judging from her expression, she seemed to be fine. "I know everything about you."
Qing looked at him suspiciously.
Li Jiang said, "I told him that we were all helpless with your injuries, only he could channel spiritual energy into you to heal your wounds."
Mu Dong chimed in from the side, "Yes, he was the one who treated your injuries during the three days you were unconscious."
Qinghe exclaimed in surprise, "Three days? I was actually unconscious for three days?"
Mu Dong kept nagging in her ear: "Yeah, you don't know, when you came back you were covered in blood, it scared me to death, I thought you... Of course, you're awake now, so you're fine."
Qinghe: "After I fainted, what happened to the Fire Eye and the Divine Pearl?" She glanced at Qi Rong and saw that he was calm, so he obviously knew that she had been looking for the Divine Pearl and no longer tried to hide it.
Shen Xun said, "The golden light emanating from your body injured it, and it escaped with the divine pearl."
Qinghe couldn't help but lament, "After this, it will be difficult to find it again."
Li Jiang crossed her arms and looked at her, saying, "Is there one more thing you'd like to hear?"
Looking at his serious expression, Qinghe instinctively felt that it wasn't a good thing.
Li Jiang stopped keeping her in suspense: "During the three days you were unconscious, many people from the outside world came to Luochuan City. It is said that they heard that the Divine Pearl had appeared in Luochuan City and wanted to see its true appearance. Perhaps many of them even wanted to take the Divine Pearl for themselves."
Qinghe frowned: "Who leaked the information?"
Qi Rong picked up the thread: "Ding Zhaoshan, he spent more than 100,000 taels of gold to bid for the Burning Fire Pearl and was indulging in self-satisfaction. But I don't know who told him that the divine pearl he bid for was a fake. The news spread like wildfire, and with the help of people's jealousy, everyone believed that the rumor was true."
He helped Qinghe sit down and poured her a cup of tea. "To prove it, he held a pearl appreciation event, sending out invitations to all the famous cultivators within five hundred miles of Moon Mountain, making a great fuss."
Qinghe understood; no wonder there were several times more people on the street than before.
Li Jiang: "In this way, with cultivators gathering in Luochuan City, it will be even more difficult to find the Divine Pearl. It's hard to guarantee that the Fiery Eye won't leave this place and find another hiding place."
Qinghe, however, thought it unlikely. "It is seriously injured now, and it is not advisable for it to move its position. The most likely scenario is that it will disappear without a trace, leaving us with no way to find it."
She slowly leaned back in her chair: "In short, it won't be that easy to find."
A silence fell over the room, and no one spoke for a moment.
After a long while, a strange noise came from inside the room, and everyone looked at Qinghe.
Qinghe rubbed his stomach and chuckled awkwardly, "I'm hungry."
...
The few tables downstairs were all full, and the street was crowded with people. Qi Rong didn't want Qing He to squeeze in with others, so he suggested that they go to his residence as guests.
Having known Qi Rong for so long, this was the first time Qing He had learned that he owned a mansion; she had always assumed he lived in a gambling den.
But thinking about it, it makes sense. It's not surprising that someone as wealthy as him would own a mansion, and probably more than one.
Feeling the envious and jealous look Qinghe cast at her, Qi Rong curled her lips and said lazily, "Your gaze is dangerous right now."
Upon hearing this, Qinghe not only did not restrain himself, but instead became even more outrageous.
Qi Rong smiled helplessly.
Watching the two interact so oblivious to everyone else, Mo Junqian felt inexplicably agitated and didn't even realize they had arrived at their destination.
The mansion is magnificent, but unlike its owner, it is not ostentatious; rather, it belongs to the category of understated luxury.
Upon entering, Qinghe felt a surge of rich spiritual energy wash over him. He took a deep breath and instantly felt refreshed, as if his previous injuries had healed considerably.
Ordinary residences wouldn't have such strong spiritual energy. Qinghe asked Qirong, "What did you put in your house?"
Qi Rong smiled mysteriously: "Want to know?"
Qinghe nodded, adopting a look of great curiosity.
Qi Rong was amused by her appearance and took her wrist, saying, "Come on, I'll take you to see it."
Qinghe did not refuse and followed him naturally.
Li Jiang and the others felt awkward following behind, but they didn't know where to go if they didn't follow, so they stood there in a dilemma.
Mu Dong covered his eyes and pretended to complain, "It's almost blinding me, senior brother, can you help me?" As he spoke, he groped around with one hand and finally touched a shoulder.
Mo Junqian removed the hand from his shoulder, his face as cold as ice. He stared at the backs of the two figures in the distance, and after a long while, he turned and left the mansion without saying a word.
Mu Dong watched his retreating figure and asked Li Jiang, "What's wrong with him?"
Li Jiang sighed and said as she walked forward, "The falling flowers are willing, but the flowing water is heartless."
Even if Mu Dong were oblivious, he could see Mo Junqian's feelings for Qing He, but judging from the current situation, the chances of him being the one to fall for him were not very high.
Lingyin followed Mo Junqian out when he left, leaving Shen Xun by her side.
Mu Dong squatted down and asked earnestly, "Junior Brother, who do you support?"
Shen Xun said calmly, "I don't support anyone."
Mu Dong said, "No, we have to choose one." She picked up two small stones from the ground to represent Qi Rong and Mo Junqian, and let Shen Xun choose.
Shen Xun stared at the pebble for a long time. Just when Mu Dong thought he would give a definite answer, he glanced at him coldly and said four words: "You are so childish."
The undisguised disdain hurt Mu Dong deeply.
