Suddenly, a snowball, seemingly out of nowhere, hit Qinghe squarely in the face. The snow water flowed down his forehead and into his eyes, blurring everything in front of him.
She raised her hand and wiped it with her sleeve. Just as she wiped away the snow water, another snowball came flying at her.
Qinghe twisted his wrist and easily caught the snowball, then hurled it back at him. A scream of pain rang out from afar as the culprit was knocked to the ground.
The girl struggled to her feet, shook off the snow, and looked up at the courtyard, but Qinghe was no longer there.
She looked around, but Qinghe was nowhere to be seen, as if he had never been there. The thick snow under her feet crunched underfoot, and she suddenly felt a chill creep up her spine, causing a sharp spasm in her back.
"You were looking for me?"
A cold voice rang in her ears. She suddenly swung her hand and struck back with a palm strike, but missed. The force of her palm struck the wall behind her, creating a hole.
A cool breeze whistled around her, and that clear, cold voice lingered in her ears like a curse, driving her mad.
She shouted and unleashed her spiritual power in all directions with tremendous force, clearly intending to kill Qinghe.
Qinghe, who was running around the woman in spirit form, couldn't help but shudder. If those palms had really hit her, she would have been seriously injured, if not killed.
His gaze towards the woman instantly sharpened. His hands moved swiftly, forming hand seals and talismans beneath his feet. Just as the incantations were about to connect, Qinghe stepped back, trapping the woman alone within the formation.
When she sensed a powerful force, the woman suddenly stopped. She hadn't even realized why the atmosphere around her had become so chilling, when nothing had changed just moments before.
The earth seemed to tremble, the sound spreading from near to far. The woman stared warily at the ground, ready for anything.
The surrounding snow seemed to come alive, spontaneously gathering into clumps and forming snowballs of varying sizes. As if they had eyes, they all aimed at the woman in the center, ready to strike at any moment.
Qinghe smiled and looked at the woman. With a flick of his finger, all the snowballs tore through space like a gust of wind, rushing towards the woman who was still unaware of what was happening.
The woman's ears twitched slightly as she recognized the familiar voice, and her eyes slowly widened.
Countless snowballs were reflected in her pupils, vying to be thrown at her. She stood there stunned, and the next moment she let out a piercing scream.
"Ahhh!"
Snowballs came one after another, hitting her with a 100% success rate.
Instinctively trying to dodge, he found himself unable to leave the spot. Subconsciously unleashing his spiritual energy, he inexplicably found it rebounding back at him, leaving him unable to advance or retreat.
Qing, watching from afar, thoroughly enjoyed this comical scene. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed several maids passing by, curiously observing their direction.
Qinghe's ears twitched as she heard them saying—
"Hey, look what Yutong is doing? She's just standing there letting snowballs hit her. How strange."
"Maybe they're playing some kind of game."
What game would make you get hit by a snowball?
"I don't know either... Look, isn't that the new maid? Could it be her doing this?"
"I heard she has a terrible reputation, and with the God-King backing her up, she's probably..."
"Let's hurry up and leave, lest we get caught in the crossfire."
The two men glanced warily at Qinghe and quickly left.
Qinghe withdrew his divine sense, glanced at the woman who was being relentlessly attacked by snowballs, flicked his sleeve, and all the snowballs disappeared, and the talisman array also dissipated.
Once freed, the woman covered her swollen face, glared fiercely at Qinghe, and then limped away.
...
In the darkness, after a day of training, everyone was exhausted and turned off the lights to rest early, except for one courtyard that was still brightly lit.
"What! How dare she be so audacious and cruel!"
Yu Tong covered her face, tears streaming down her face like a flood.
Several of her close friends were gently comforting her, with Mu Ge sitting closest to her.
She looked at Yu Tong, who was sobbing uncontrollably, with pity, and thinking of the discussions about the new maid in the past few days, she felt even more disgusted with her.
She reached out and wiped away Yu Tong's tears, saying softly, "Don't cry. Don't worry, I will definitely teach that woman a lesson and let her know that the God Realm is not a place where she can run wild."
Yu Tong choked back tears and said, "Really...really? Sister Mu, you must avenge me!"
"But that woman has the God's backing. What if she tells the God?" someone said worriedly.
Mu Ge narrowed her eyes, recalling the words the Divine Lord had spoken at the training class that day. His words were full of protection for that woman, and his eyes were so gentle—an expression she had never seen before. This only fueled her jealousy and hatred.
It's all that woman's fault! She made her lose her qualification to become a goddess, and she'll make her pay a terrible price!
Taking a deep breath to calm her agitated emotions, she looked gently at Yu Tong and said with a soft smile, "I have my own way."
...
The next morning, the training ground was filled with people. Various maids stood in rows according to their height, forming a square formation. At the front of the formation, the instructor, dressed in a dark gray robe with his long hair tied up high, stood with his hands behind his back, staring straight ahead expressionlessly.
His sharp eyes swept across the entire room, and once he knew everyone had arrived, he announced loudly, "Today's training begins!"
Just as the crowd was about to disperse to go back to their training, a clear, melodious voice rang out: "Wait."
Mu Ge walked through the crowd to the front. "Teacher Si Xia, there's still one person who hasn't arrived yet."
The teacher, referred to as Si Xia, glanced at the people in the room and, as expected, did not notice the new maid.
"That junior sister is probably a little nervous since she just arrived in the God Realm, which is why she's late. Shall I go and call her?"
Si Xia rolled her eyes and nodded in agreement.
Mu Ge smiled and walked towards the courtyard where Qing He was.
After an incense stick's time, Mu Ge returned, clutching his arm and staggering back covered in filth.
Si Xia frowned. "What's wrong?"
Mu Ge looked somewhat disheveled. She wiped the remaining snow from her face and stammered, "It's nothing. I just went to call my junior sister, but she said she didn't want to participate in the training and thought it was childish. I tried to persuade her, but she... she threw a snowball at me and threw it at me."
"What?"
As soon as she finished speaking, the crowd stirred. Mu Ge covered his face and winked at Yu Tong. Yu Tong immediately understood and ran to Si Xia to complain: "Teacher, it's true. She also threw snowballs at me yesterday. I just wanted to make friends with her, but she was so arrogant and ignored me. She even used such despicable means to humiliate me."
As she spoke, she rolled up her sleeve, revealing bruises and swellings. "Look, this is what she did with the snowball. Teacher, you must punish such a vicious person severely, otherwise the consequences will be unimaginable!"
