Chapter 49 Other People's Dogs

There was a commotion on the street.

Jiang Si walked quickly to the window and looked down.

Several men who looked like thugs surrounded Erniu and approached him cautiously, each holding a thick wooden stick in his hand.

Not far away, two people were standing side by side, one wearing a brocade robe and holding a folding fan, and the other wearing a moon-white straight gown.

Jiang seems to know both of these people.

The one wearing the brocade robe was Princess Rongyang and Cui Yi, the son of General Cui Xu, who had been bitten by Erniu on the street not long ago. The other one was Yang Shengcai, the grandson of the Minister of Rites.

Jiang Si's gaze lingered on Yang Shengcai's face for a moment.

The boy looked not much older than his brother and looked decent, but he was the murderer who killed his brother.

But she only knew that her second brother's death was related to Yang Shengcai, but she didn't know the specific circumstances.

"Miss, that dog will be beaten to death by them. Do you want me to go down and help?" Ah Man stuck his head out, his face full of worry.

Jiang Si looked down and pursed his lips: "Let's take a look for now."

Based on her understanding of Erniu, those thugs may not be Erniu's match.

"Miss, seeing the dog being surrounded by them, I feel quite nervous." Ah Man unconsciously clutched the window sill.

“It’s called Erniu.”

Ah Man looked at Jiang Si.

Jiang Si smiled: "The dog is called Erniu, it has a name."

"How did the girl know that?" Ah Man was puzzled.

Jiang seemed to choke, coughed lightly and said, "I heard its owner call it that day."

Ah Man rolled his eyes, thinking of the boy who was even more handsome than Jiang Zhan, and blurted out, "That's the good-looking scoundrel!"

Jiang Si's face turned red, then darkened: "What kind of description is this!"

Could it be that because he looks good, it's understandable that he's a scoundrel?

Ah Man blinked and said innocently: "I think the description is very appropriate."

"Stop talking!" Jiang Si said lightly, his attention drawn to the commotion downstairs.

One of the thugs roared and picked up a stick to hit Erniu.

Erniu dodged flexibly, then jumped up and bit the man's wrist.

The man let out a scream and the stick in his hand fell to the ground.

When others saw this, they immediately started beating him with sticks.

Erniu bit the man without letting go, and kicked a man who was close to him in the face with his two hind legs. Then he jumped a few times and moved flexibly between several thugs.

By the time the onlookers reacted, several thugs had already fallen to the ground, screaming and covering their wounds.

People couldn't help rubbing their eyes.

This dog is amazing!

The big dog raised its head and barked, then walked towards Cui Yi and Yang Shengcai step by step. During the walk, it stepped on the face of a fallen thug without even looking down.

The onlookers were all worried.

This dog is not only amazing, but also very cool. Whose dog is it?

"Miss, why do I feel like Erniu was yelling at you just now?"

Jiang Si didn't answer, his eyes following the big dog.

Just now she heard the meaning of comfort from Erniu's voice.

Is Erniu afraid that she will worry?

"Don't come over here, don't come over here--" Facing Erniu who was approaching step by step, Cui Yi obviously had a large psychological shadow, and he retreated step by step with a pale face.

"Cui Yi, your people are not that good. Several people can't beat a dog." Yang Shengcai touched his chin and laughed.

"Cui Cheng, Cui Gong, you are all dead? Why don't you come out quickly!" Cui Yi shouted.

Two figures appeared in front of Cui Yi almost at the same time.

Cui Yi's expression relaxed and he waved his folding fan.

Fortunately, he had foresight. After being besieged by a pack of dogs, he realized that these servants were unreliable, so he pestered his father for two old soldiers who had retired from the battlefield.

These two old guards have been through hundreds of battles and are good at killing without blinking an eye. So dealing with a lame dog is a piece of cake for them.

Jiang Si, who had been just watching the show, became serious.

She smelled a battle-hardened air in both of them.

"Miss, are we going down? I think these two people are not simple." Ah Man became nervous.

"No, we can't help if we go down. It would be better to respond if we stand here and look down from above." Jiang Si pondered for a moment and gave up the impulsive thought.

She had learned some tricks from Yu Qi, which were useful when used to catch ordinary people off guard, but were obviously not good enough in a real fight. As for Ah Man, her skills were probably just fancy moves in front of these two ordinary-looking middle-aged men.

Erniu was obviously very sensitive to the breath of the two middle-aged men. His hair stood up and he let out a low cry.

The two men and the dog soon started fighting.

The onlookers held their breath, and actually saw the tragedy of war in the melee between the two men and the dog.

One of the men had a piece of flesh bitten off his calf by Erniu, and blood was dripping down. Erniu no longer had the composure he had before when dealing with a few thugs. He opened his mouth and stuck out his tongue, gasping for breath.

The lame leg did slow down the big dog at the critical moment.

"Girl, Erniu seems to be in trouble." As the situation downstairs became more intense, Ah Man could no longer sit still.

Jiang Si stuffed a teacup into Ah Man's hand and said, "Hold it well. When Er Niu can't hold it anymore, throw it at the man in the brocade robe."

Jiang Si refers to Cui Yi.

Originally, she hated Yang Shengcai more among the two, but those two middle-aged men were Cui Yi's men, and they undoubtedly cared more about Cui Yi's safety.

"You beast, you're still so arrogant!" Perhaps because he was really annoyed by being bullied by a lame dog, one of them suddenly pulled out a gleaming dagger from his leg bindings and stabbed Erniu.

"Kill it and eat dog meat today!" Cui Yi shouted excitedly.

This beast should have been skinned with a knife a long time ago, but these two old guys insisted on being stubborn.

According to the laws of the Great Zhou Dynasty, ordinary people are not allowed to carry sharp weapons, but people of Cui Yi's privileged class are apparently not restricted.

The shining dagger reflected a cold light in the sunlight, and the onlookers stepped back involuntarily.

Ah Man didn't hesitate any longer and threw the teacup out with force.

The sky-blue teacup drew an arc in the air and hit Cui Yi's head accurately.

Cui Yi let out a scream and fell backwards.

The two men who were fighting with Erniu quickly rushed towards where Cui Yi was.

Unexpectedly, a black and yellow figure showed no sign of weakness and arrived there before them.

The half-human-tall dog held down Cui Yi, whose forehead was bleeding profusely, with one of its front paws, and leisurely wagged its tail as it watched the two people approaching.

Cui Yi was so frightened that he could not even feel the headache on his forehead. He stuttered and shouted, "Quick, quick, save me——"

"Get out of here, you beast!" a middle-aged man shouted.

Erniu glanced at him.

The man was startled and felt dizzy for a moment.

Why did he see contempt in the dog's eyes?

I must have seen it wrong.

Then, the man saw the big dog raised its paw and slowly pressed it on Cui Yi's throat.

The whole place fell silent.

This dog must be a spirit!
