Second candy

Second candy

It has been a day since Violet entered Violet Academy. The Violet Academy's defensive magic has not been activated, the alarm has not sounded, and even the high-level magicians in the school have not responded.

Evelin sat by the window, her hand on her cheek, peering out the window toward the handymen's quarters. She wondered if she should find another time to hint to the teacher about the academy's defense level. But even if she did, she would have to wait until Velvet was accepted by her father, the king, and her mother.

Evelyn and Violet had been apart for less than 24 hours, but her longing for her was already overflowing.

I really want to see Violet right away. But as soon as this thought came to mind, Evelin raised her arm and looked at the obviously expensive fabric on her body.

When should I confess my identity? Evelyn frowned and thought hesitantly.

On campus.

In just one day, Violet had mastered the terrain of Violet Academy, including its overall size, building layout, and where the defensive magic was deployed. Her next destination was the instructor's office at the Mage Academy.

The moment Princess Evelyn enrolled, the news spread throughout Violet Academy. Several handymen from Violet's dormitory had already left for the royal quarters.

Not only the handyman, but also the ordinary students in the academy and even the royal nobles of other countries wanted to see the real face of Princess Evelyn, but unfortunately, after a whole day, no one knew the room number of Princess Evelyn's dormitory.

Vilt didn't need to check every dormitory building one by one. She had another way - the tutor's office of the Magician Academy, where all students' personal information, enrollment time and dormitory location should be stored.

If she was lucky, she might even get to see the princess's schedule. Thinking of this, Vilt's nose felt a fleeting itch. She looked up and saw she was passing a poplar tree, its catkins long gone for the season. She tilted her head to avoid the tree, quickening her pace.

The academy was still welcoming new students, and the instructor's office was empty. The tightly closed office door was sealed with a "lock" magic. The level of this "lock" magic circle was only one level lower than the defensive magic inside the academy.

But the most advanced defensive magic in the academy was full of mistakes and omissions in Vilt's eyes, not to mention this "lock" magic. Vilt found the eye of the array with just one glance. She opened her fingers and silently cracked the "lock" magic. The burglar alarm on the magic array was crushed by Vilt before it could react. The door of the tutor's office suddenly opened by itself, and Vilt walked into the office and closed the door with her backhand.

The office was dark and windowless. Violet lit a flame on her fingertips for lighting. On the left was a huge wooden cabinet, and on the right was the light switch.

After pressing the switch, the lights came on and Violet could see the layout of the office clearly - there were four desks in the office, two of them placed opposite each other in the middle. The wooden cabinets were not only on the left side, but there was also a huge wooden cabinet in front of the remaining three walls except for the right wall. Each cabinet was also sealed with locking magic.

There are no labels on the outside of the cabinets, so I have to look for them one by one.

Violet was lucky. After removing two "lock" magics, she found the student files on the left side of the innermost cabinet.

Student files are sorted according to student status, with Evelyn's file prominently placed in the first column and first row.

Violet raised her hand and pulled out Evelyn's file.

The paper fluttered lightly in her hand. There was actually no detailed information in the file, only simple information such as name, gender, country of origin, height and age. Violet knew all of this by heart, and she even knew more than what was recorded in the file.

It is a pity that there is no portrait of the princess on the archive page - in order to protect the safety of the royal family, the portraits of the nobles are drawn on magic paper, the characteristics of this kind of paper are that it can be opened in a directional manner and will burn after reading.

The magical fluctuations of the magic paper still remained in the file, but Violet could not find out more. She wrote down the location of the princess's dormitory, put the file back in its place and locked it again. Then Violet found the class schedule and Violet Academy calendar on the tutor's desk.

Violet plans to meet the princess before school starts.

When she first had this idea, Violet was still wondering if this decision was too hasty, but now seeing the relaxed look of the tutor's office, which was empty and open to anyone, Violet felt that this was the perfect time for her to meet the princess.

If something unexpected happens during their meeting, the college will not respond in time.

Violet was used to preparing for the worst-case scenario.

The course schedule and school calendar weren't very long, but they memorized them easily. After restoring the instructor's desk and erasing any traces of herself, she left the office and re-painted the "lock" spell on the door.

The last stroke of the magic pattern fell on the center of the formation, and there was a "click" sound like locking a door with a key.

The click in the silent corridor made Violet's heart sink. She suddenly thought - after meeting the princess, if possible... if possible, she should not look for Evelyn.

No one or any monster could tell Violet what would happen to the dragon without the princess. She was the only one left in thousands of years.

Whatever the outcome of the trial, she thought, I can give up my bones, but not my heart.

Only now did Violet dare to admit in her heart that she no longer had the right to dispose of her own heart.

The Royal Dormitory area had been bustling all day. The buzz was simply a cacophony of activity, with people strolling, studying, and practicing basic magic. Compared to the previously quiet and beautiful surroundings, the noise was already quite noisy. However, since strolling and studying wasn't against school rules and was even common, the teachers had no reason to expel the crowd. It wasn't until evening, once it was completely dark, that people began to leave.

Other nobles living in the royal quarters were also curious, but out of courtesy they kept their curiosity to themselves, at most some bringing gifts to each other to maintain good relations.

Evelyn originally planned to walk around the campus, but after being told by the teacher that there were people looking for her downstairs in the dormitory building, Evelyn immediately gave up the idea of going out. When other royal family members who were staying there came to establish friendship, Evelyn pretended that no one was there and remained silent.

It wasn't that she didn't want to socialize; Evelyn had encountered more welcoming people during her tours with her father, the king, and the queen. But she could guarantee that as soon as she went out to connect with her classmates, her image would instantly spread throughout Violet Academy. It was a horror story. She didn't dare let Violet know too soon; she hadn't yet decided on a reason for her disguise.

Besides this, there is another issue that is more important than confessing her identity: should she admit that she has known for a long time that Violet is a dragon?

The combination of these two problems made Evelin feel overwhelmed. Troubled by the unsolvable problems, she even had no appetite for the food that the teacher brought her using space magic.

Two days passed like this.

The teachers at Violet Academy can see the princess at the beginning of the school year, and maybe you are classmates. They have persuaded many people who stay in the royal dormitory area to leave.

The royal dormitory area suddenly became much quieter.

Evelyn took out a cloak embroidered with other royal crests, thinking that if anyone in the dormitory asked her, she would give a false name. Once she left this area, everything would be easier.

She hadn't seen Violet in three days. Except for the time when they first met, they had never been apart for so long.

Evelyn had her own information channels, and she had already figured out what the college handyman would do before school started.

There wasn't much going on at this time, so besides the necessary daily training, the handymen spent the rest of their time familiarizing themselves with the various facilities within the academy. The handymen had two hours of rest each day, at noon and in the evening, and Evelyn planned to use this time to meet with Violet.

Evelyn chose to meet Violet at noon because she was not sure when Violet would eat. If she met her at noon and Violet had already finished lunch, she could make an appointment for dinner.

With this thought in mind, Evelin put on her hood, put on an aristocratic air, and walked out of the dormitory with her head held high. Perhaps it was a matter of time, as soon as she closed the door, Evelin heard footsteps coming from the depths of the corridor. Someone else was also about to leave.

Sophia had a great time in the academy these past two days. She got to know all the entertainment facilities and festival schedules in the academy, and also learned that there was a magician's practical training base next to the teaching building. She planned to go to the cafeteria today to try the raspberry roasted winged beast meat and then go to the practical training base to play.

Not long after leaving her dormitory, Sophia saw a person in a cloak. She noticed the noble's room. It seemed that the room was empty before. Was she a new arrival today?

Sophia is not very enthusiastic about making friends, but she still has to say hello when she meets someone, otherwise her impoliteness can easily escalate into a diplomatic incident.

However, when Sophia put on a polite and dignified smile to greet the person, the person turned around and saw the face under the hat, which made Sophia's eyes widen suddenly. "Why is it you?!"

Evelin didn't expect that Sophia and she were on the same floor of the same dormitory building. Unlike Sophia's shock, Evelin nodded slightly and calmly.

"You live here? You are a princess?!" Sophia exclaimed in a low voice. She didn't need Evelyn to answer, and then she muttered to herself, "Yes, your name is Evelyn. Your name is also Evelyn. You can't be Princess Evelyn, right?" When she said the word "Evelyn", Sophia did not forget the sensation this name and identity had caused in the past two days, and her voice was lowered a few degrees.

"But wasn't Evelyn targeted by the dragon? Why are you with Violet? Did you elope with Violet to avoid the dragon?"

"That's a good idea." Evelyn put away her previous pretentious dignity and revealed an inspired expression.

Sophia looked at Evelyn's completely different attire. The royal family's clothing had its own unique style, and it was impossible to fake it anyway.

"I actually know Princess Evelyn." Sophia exclaimed, then she thought of something and asked, "Does Violet know your identity?"

Evelyn was silent.

Sophia usually looked heartless and not very smart, but when it came to things related to Violet, she became particularly sharp. Sophia almost instantly read the answer from Evelin's silence. She chuckled with gloating, "You lied to her? That's great."

“You should know that the most taboo thing between people is deception. You are obviously a noble, but you lived a hard life with Violet. What were you thinking about during that time? Seeing Violet living that kind of life, didn’t you want to help her at all? You even asked her to sacrifice her life just to give you the magic crystal that was so easy for you.” Sophia originally wanted to hurt Evelyn, but she really felt sorry for Violet when she said it later.

Before, Sophia's words would only make Evelin feel uncomfortable, but now Sophia's voice sounded extremely harsh in Evelin's ears.

This person clearly knows nothing, so where does he get the courage to point fingers? But Evelin had to admit that she was indeed stung by Sophia's words. She didn't care how others saw her, she only cared about how Violet saw her.

What would Violet think after revealing her identity? Evelin didn't even dare to imagine the slightest emotion in Violet's eyes. Every tremor in Violet's pupils weighed heavily on her.

"This is a matter between me and Violet, and it has nothing to do with you," Evelyn said stiffly.

"Yeah, what happened between you has nothing to do with me." Sophia blinked and showed her previous smile again, "But it's not easy for you to go out now, right? It just so happens that you can think of a reason in the dormitory. Don't worry, I will take good care of Violet."

Evelin’s face instantly turned cold as ice, and even her voice exuded a chill. “I advise you not to put any thoughts on her.” She looked at Sophia with an even more undisguised threat than before. “She won’t like you, and I won’t let you go.”

"Hey." Sophia was startled by Evelyn. This person was clearly a fire mage, yet how could her words be so icy that they could freeze her to death? Sophia instinctively took a few steps back, her words trembling with fear. "Well... after all, we fought monsters together before, and we were partners. Be careful or I'll go and tell Velvet badmouth you!"

Sophia uttered a harsh word without much energy and ran off. She even forgot she was going out, and she turned around and ran back to her room, quickly closed the door, and was no longer able to move.

And after Evelin drove Sophia away, not only did her mood not improve, but she became even more irritable.

I really want to see Violet.
