Chapter 99: Untying the Knot
The visitor discovered that the two people knew each other and Fang Xin was a public figure, so Xu Shi'an had to come forward to resolve the matter himself.
The police officers tried several times to talk to Fang Xin, but Xu Shi'an was too vicious and the sense of oppression lingered, so the two of them could only let the matter go.
Xu Shi'an did not book a room for himself and went straight into Fang Xin's room.
They looked at each other in silence. Fang Xin said nothing, nor did he want to speak.
The person who came impulsively this time was Xu Shi'an. He went into the bathroom to tidy himself up before coming out.
"Please get a room for yourself. I'm so sleepy."
Fang Xin lay down on the bed again, hiding herself in the quilt without making a sound. Xu Shi'an wanted to say something but stopped himself, and took two steps forward to the bed.
Fang Xin's heart began to beat fast as he felt the bed sink. He was always on guard for Xu Shi'an to pull him up and give him a beating.
The other party remained silent, and time seemed to be passing very slowly.
"You can't say you were right about what happened before." His voice was low and a little hoarse, "I was wrong too."
Fang Xin pulled the quilt back, revealing only a pair of eyes. His back was turned to Xu Shi'an, so he couldn't see the other person's expression and could only judge by his tone.
"You're right." He said in a muffled voice, because he just woke up and his speech was still unclear, "I was wrong last time, I won't do it again next time."
The other party was silent, and he chuckled softly, "I'm not angry anymore, but you can't be so willful every time and run out by yourself without notifying us when there's no one around."
Then he added, "You are a star, who will be held responsible if something goes wrong?"
In fact, Fang Xin knew that she was too willful this time. She came out on impulse and it was very dangerous without anyone around her.
Fortunately, he doesn't show up in public very often now, and the hotel has done a good job of keeping it confidential. However, there are some cleaning staff who want to find out what's going on.
"I see." Fang Xin finally realized the point after he said this. He leaned forward and asked clearly, "Why are you here?"
Now it was the other party's turn to be at a loss. Xu Shi's Adam's apple rolled, and the person turned around and looked at him with eyes wide open.
He kept thinking over and over in his mind how to answer. He felt that he was not rational at that moment. He only knew that he wanted to see Fang Xin and confirm with him that he agreed with Li Ang pursuing him.
Now that I think about it, I have found it and confirmed it, so what can I do?
Why do you care? Why are you so anxious? What's wrong with you?
Xu Shi'an frowned, this problem was more difficult for him than business, and it was hard to understand.
Seeing that he was taking no time to answer, Fang Xin turned back angrily and said, "If you don't want to talk, don't talk. I'm going to sleep."
After a moment, Xu Shi'an said softly, "Good night."
The door opened and closed softly, and the question stopped again.
Neither of them slept well that night. After being woken up, Fang Xin had no intention of continuing to rest. All he could think of was the image of Xu Shi'an standing at the door, all wet.
"Xu Shi'an, what on earth are you going to do..."
Xu Shi'an came to persuade Fang Xin to go back. The next day, before Xu Shi'an mentioned this matter, Fang Xin took the initiative to pack her luggage and prepare to go back with him.
Fang Xin contacted An Mei on the way and told her that he had just gone back to rest for a while and now planned to come back to continue working.
After returning home, Fang Xin didn't say much to Xu Shi'an and went into the house by herself.
Xu Shi'an followed him without asking why the password was changed. It was obviously to prevent him.
As the days passed, Fang Xin was so successful in her filming that she didn't even have time to celebrate her birthday.
At this time last year, she didn’t celebrate her birthday because of work. But now it’s different. More people remember Fang Xin’s birthday, and fans are planning to rent out places like Di Guang to celebrate Fang Xin’s birthday.
Xiao Huai was a big fan of the fan group, so she kept it a secret from Fang Xin and waited until all the pictures were hung all over the city before letting Fang Xin see them.
Director Wan is still forcing Fang Xin to film, polishing her work every day, and the requirements for filming are getting higher and higher.
There are quite a lot of scenes today, so Director Wan divided the filming into several sections.
Fang Xin had just sat down on the chair and got ready when a figure appeared outside. He recognized it at a glance. It was Lu Ziyan again.
This was the first time the two met since their last big fight.
"Start."
Not long after the scene started, Fang Xin's attention was diverted by Lu Ziyan, and no matter how she filmed, she could not meet Director Wan's requirements.
Director Wan threw the notebook aside, stood up and rushed towards Fang Xin.
"What's wrong with you today? What's wrong with you?!"
Fang Xin shrank her neck, ready to be scolded. Before Director Wan could finish scolding her, she heard someone behind her say, "Director Wan, excuse me, can you give him a break?"
Lu Ziyan smiled apologetically, looking very embarrassed. Director Wan saw that there were outsiders present and snorted coldly, "I'll give you a few minutes. If you do this again, just wait!"
After making the harsh words, Fang Xin turned around to shoot another scene and bowed to apologize.
"Let's talk."
This time, Lu Ziyan was not as excited as last time. His tone was calm, and it was rare that he had the same feeling as before. Fang Xin did not refuse.
The two of them sat on the doorstep, and it was Lu Ziyan who spoke first, "I'm sorry for last time, I was too impulsive."
Fang Xin shook his head to indicate that it was okay. He was a little embarrassed now, but fortunately he had rested for a few days and sorted out his thoughts.
"I should be the one who is embarrassed. I should have told you clearly a long time ago, but you kept avoiding me." Fang Xin lowered her head and smiled, "I really think of you as a good friend. I can't live without you as a friend."
From a distance, I could hear Director Wan's voice and the rustling sound of staff tidying up things. It was ordinary and reassuring.
"I know, I can't live without you as a friend." Lu Ziyan turned his head, a strand of hair brushing his forehead as he spoke, "But next time, can you please not always make me meet Mr. Xu? I'm really afraid of him!"
Fang Xin turned around in surprise when he heard the first sentence. The two looked at each other. Lu Ziyan's second sentence made him laugh out loud, "What are you afraid of him doing?"
"You don't know, his stinky face, and his freezing look! He would scold me if I said a few more words, and he still wants me to like him? I'm scared to death!"
Fang Xin curled the corners of his lips, "I won't give you two pairs next time, but hearing what you said, whoever pairs with him in the future will be in trouble."
"I think so too. He is so scary. I can't even imagine who would fall in love with a piece of ice." Lu Ziyan seemed to be thinking of Xu Shi'an's appearance and rubbed his arms, causing Fang Xin to laugh uncontrollably.
Fang Xin didn't ask Lu Ziyan why he changed his mind. As long as Lu Ziyan was still willing to be friends with him, no matter what the reason was, it must not be too bad.
The conversation between the two ended here, and Director Wan called them back to film.
Lu Ziyan also said that he was filming here and came to talk to him during the break, and would go back after finishing work.
After untying her knot in her heart, Fang Xin quickly got into the role.
"Start!"
The air was filled with the aroma of tea, someone was playing the pipa in the building, and Ah Qing was singing an opera on the stage.
Wen Zhishu sat in the audience, sipping tea and eating snacks, and his life was very happy.
"Help! Ah!!!"
There was a noise outside the teahouse, the opera stopped, and the guests looked outside one after another.
Someone fell outside the teahouse, his clothes stained with blood, and a strong and sickening smell immediately covered the fragrance of tea.
"Ah! What happened to him?!"
One prostitute was so scared that she screamed and took several steps back. Someone gently supported her and smiled at her gently, "Sister, it's okay. I'll go check it out."
Wen Zhishu stepped forward and patted the man, "Wake up, what happened?"
The man stretched out his hand and grabbed Wen Zhishu's snow-white robe. The bloodstain was deeply engraved on the robe and was very conspicuous. Wen Zhishu subconsciously wanted to run away.
"Outside... there's a fight going on..."
Hearing this, the people in the teahouse panicked. Wen Zhishu suppressed his hatred and asked softly, "Who is it and where is it?"
The opponent fainted instantly, and blood kept oozing out from under his body. It seemed that the blood was more than just his own.
Wen Zhishu stood up, his robe still tightly grasped in someone's hand like a life-saving straw.
He tore off his robe and took two steps back. "Don't panic, everyone. Nothing has happened in our city yet. We still need to find out the details."
Suddenly someone shouted, "What do you know?! I heard there was going to be chaos, let's run away early!"
When the guests heard this, they all ran out of the teahouse. Suddenly, only the girl, Ah Qing, Wen Zhishu and a few others were left in the teahouse.
Hua Niang came down from the attic. "What happened? Why did everyone leave?"
Wen Zhishu lifted his soiled robe and walked towards Hua Niang with a smile, "It's nothing, it's just that someone fainted here, and the guests got scared and ran away."
When Hua Niang heard this, she rushed to check, "Oh, he's injured! Hurry up and bring him in!"
Ah Qing came down from the platform and helped Wen Zhishu carry the person in.
This man's legs are paralyzed. The doctor said he only has one breath left and may not survive the night.
Wen Zhishu stepped forward and told Hua Niang, "Sister Hua, he can't die here."
"Why?"
"Everyone saw him collapse in the teahouse today. If we let him die in the teahouse, what will happen to the business in the future?"
What Wen Zhishu said made sense. Hua Niang lost her usual gentleness and said calmly, "Look at what he's wearing."
The blood had stained the clothes beyond recognition. Wen Zhishu suppressed his disgust and stepped forward to take a look. Then he looked up in surprise, "Military uniform?!"
Hua Niang nodded, "He is a soldier. Soldiers are loyal to their emperor and country. They protect the people in our city and resist foreign enemies. Now he is injured and comes back to report the news. Isn't it a good thing for us to save him?"
Wen Zhishu lowered his eyes in thought, and Hua Niang patted him, "I know you are doing this for the good of the teahouse, but we must distinguish between the important and the urgent. Dying here is also an honor for us."
Wen Zhishu nodded, indicating that he understood.
Suddenly remembering something, he held Hua Niang's hand and said, "The first thing he said when he came in today was that there was chaos outside. Let's... let's run!"
"I've said it before, I won't leave. I'll stay here, live or die."
"Sister Hua!"
"I am a Chinese, I must protect my own land. Soldiers protect their country, I must protect you too. Although I will not leave, you all must leave."
The girls behind him had tears in their eyes, "Sister Hua, we don't want to..."
Hua Niang's eyes were also red, and her tone was still harsh, "You guys don't listen to me? This teahouse will still be a teahouse without me, but where can I find people to sing and run the business without you?"
Wen Zhishu remained silent. Ah Qing was in the corner. He was short and walked slowly forward. "I won't leave. I'm a man."
"Then I won't leave either. I'll stay with you."
Wen Zhishu gave Hua Niang a reassuring smile and said, "The other girls are leaving. The two of us will stay with you."
