Chapter 41: Weird
Fang Xin lived a very happy life during the few days in W City. The days without work made her feel comfortable. The only bad thing was that Xu Shi'an still hadn't returned.
He would stay in the villa every day with his computer to handle things, although he was often in the study.
Ever since Fang Xin received the order to release Xu Shi'an and was no longer required to call him "Mr. Xu", he had not called Xu Shi'an "Mr. Xu" again. But he had not called him by his name either, because he really did not know how to call him.
Seeing that it would only take a few days to return to City A, Fang Xin decided to go out for a walk while the weather was good.
Xu Shi'an did not stop him, but just warned him verbally before he left, "There is a curfew."

Fang Xin quietly took off her sunglasses and looked at him. Mo Chai's heart would beat violently when he saw those watery eyes.

Fang Xin came to Mo Chai's home. Mo Chai's family lived in an old neighborhood and he always lived a simple life. The reason why he and Fang Xin became good friends was simply because they were in the same situation.
Mo Chai has no mother, and Fang Xin has no father, so the two of them sympathize with each other and naturally become friends.
He learned that Mo Chai had been trying to contact him, but when he saw Fang Xin's face appear on TV and supermarket billboards, he knew it was impossible to contact him again.
After saying this, Mo Chai silently looked at Fang Xin's unforgettable face. In fact, he had more to say. He wanted to contact him not only because they were once friends.
Fang Xin's hands tapped the teacup gently. After listening to him, her eyes were gentle as if reminiscing. "Thank you for still remembering me. I thought there was no one in this city who remembered me."
"How are you doing now?"
Mo Chai was silent for a moment after hearing this, then smiled awkwardly, "I'm just living an average life. I'll cook lunch, so you can stay at my house and eat before you leave."
When talking about cooking, Mo Chai's eyes lit up with joy. This was the happiest meal Fang Xin had ever eaten. Mo Chai kept making him laugh and told him all the interesting things that happened in the past.
After the meal, Fang Xin volunteered to wash the dishes, but Mo Chai righteously stopped her, "Why do you need a big star like you to do this? Your hands can't do rough work. I can do it."
Mo Chai would never let Fang Xin do hard work. It has been like this since junior high school. After Fang Xin lost his mother, his heart was only on Xu Shi'an, so he could not feel the goodness of other people, and he even stopped contacting his former best friend.
So after meeting Mo Chai again today, he realized how precious the hard-earned friendship is.
"Chaizi, where's your dad? Won't he come back for lunch?"
Mo Chai's eyes darkened when he said this. The topic he had tried to avoid several times finally came up.
Fang Xin saw that the atmosphere was not right, he frowned and reached out to pat Mo Chai, "I know, don't say anything."

Mo Chai was flattered. He never thought that he had just met someone he might never see again. He had already made plans to never meet him again in this life, but Fang Xin's sudden invitation made him think for a long time.
He only gave Fang Xin his cell phone number because he had always used an old-fashioned cell phone without any contact software.
Before leaving, Fang Xin repeatedly emphasized that she would be responsible after taking him to City A. She didn't say how good life would be, but as long as it was better than the current one, it would be enough.

After meeting his friend, Fang Xin went straight back to the villa and saw Xu Shi'an working downstairs, which was rare.
"Why do you work here?"

After hearing this, Fang Xin did not blame him in his heart as usual. In a good mood, he slowly walked towards the kitchen where the temporary worker was cooking.
The aroma coming from the restaurant whetted her appetite, so Fang Xin sat down at the dining table, checking her phone while waiting for her meal to be served.
I received a call from Mo Chai shortly after I returned.
"Xiao Xin, I've thought about it. Instead of living alone in this sad city, I might as well go out with you and explore the world. At least I can gain some experience."
Mo Chai's words made Fang Xin even happier. Fang Xin smiled adorably, with the corners of his upturned eyes curved in laughter. He bit his lip and listened quietly to what was said on the other side.
Mo Chai teased him a few more times, causing Fang Xin to laugh out loud, "Okay, I know, you can just praise me as much as you want, and start saying these things when you see me."
"Then I'll call you the day before you leave. When you've packed your luggage, you can tell me and I'll pick you up."
Fang Xin hung up the phone after saying a few words of caution. He didn't realize how charming he was at that moment.
Xu Shi'an's attention had been diverted the moment he picked up the phone. Fang Xin's shaking shoulders and unceasing smile told him that the other person was not An Mei, but someone else.
Xu Shi'an, who was overly concerned, pretended nothing had happened. He walked to the dining table, pulled out a chair and sat opposite Fang Xin.
Fang Xin blinked, looked up at him, and slowly shut her mouth, but kept sending messages to Lu Ziyan.
After telling Lu Ziyan that she had found an assistant for him, Lu Ziyan did not agree immediately, especially when he heard Fang Xin say that the other person was a man.
He doesn't trust his male assistants because they are not as careful as female assistants. If there are problems with the assistants' schedule or work, it will be difficult to save the situation.

Xu Shi'an on the opposite side did not look very good, and the words he managed to squeeze out were full of thorns.

Fang Xin received Xu Shi'an's question and didn't understand what was wrong with him. "Of course I'm happy. Of course I'm happy to meet my childhood friend!"

He stood up and looked down at Xu Shi'an. His gentle smile completely disappeared, and there was a cold charm in his slightly raised eyebrows.
"Mr. Xu always verbally insults and attacks people without any reason. He is really disrespectful! What does Mr. Xu want me to do?"
He choked up when he said this, and forced himself to suppress the grievances he had felt during this period. "You always think you are right. You never ask me what I think. You only see what you see."

He and Xu Shi'an had a silent workout. Xu Shi'an seemed to want to talk but hesitated several times. Fang Xin ignored him several times. After the workout, he went back to his room without even saying goodbye.
For several days, no one was willing to put aside their pride and ask for peace until Mo Chai arrived.
