Chapter 501 I Don't Remember
"They've all returned safely?" Yu Yan asked first.
Feng Su hummed in agreement.
Yu Yan looked at the Illusionary Fox with a complicated expression.
"How did you bring him back? What happened after that? I don't remember."
Even though Feng Su knew this would be the outcome, he knew it the moment he entered and saw Yu Yan.
Even though he heard her say she didn't remember, he still couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache for a moment.
The arm holding the Phantom Fox tightened.
That makes sense. Didn't he bring this phantom fox back precisely for this situation?
It doesn't matter if Master doesn't remember; he will make her remember every moment sooner or later.
Feng Su lowered her eyes, her eyelashes, even more delicate than a woman's, trembled violently, as if she were deeply saddened, and asked,
"Master really doesn't remember anything?"
As he spoke, the fox in his arms tilted its head to look at Yu Yan.
Seemingly not expecting the fox to suddenly turn its head, Yu Yan and the Illusionary Fox exchanged a glance.
She subconsciously turned her head to the side, and sure enough, she wasn't pulled into the illusion. Only then did she realize that the phantom fox had clearly been subdued by Feng Su.
A scene suddenly flashed before her eyes, as if she were reaching out and tapping Feng Su on the head.
Yu Yan then glanced at Feng Su's forehead before quickly looking away. She seemed to have never done that to him before; it must have been her imagination.
The woman steadied herself.
Feng Su glanced at the woman's earlobes, which had turned noticeably pink, and a hint of a smile flickered in his eyes.
He said, "When Master broke the illusion, he probably fainted because breaking the illusion was too mentally taxing."
Feng Su answered Yu Yan's question in a low voice, but for some reason, Yu Yan felt that his voice sounded somewhat alluring.
"Really?" she replied absentmindedly.
She felt uneasy; something seemed amiss.
Feng Su interrupted the other person and replied, "Yes."
What kind of illusion could exhaust her soul power during her Tribulation Transcending stage? Yu Yan frowned slightly.
Feng Su naturally knew what Yu Yan was thinking. He longed for her to remember everything more than anyone else, but when he thought of the woman's almost demonic pain at that time, he immediately stopped himself from thinking about it.
Everything needs to be done step by step.
"However, I've come here now to fulfill a promise to my master."
Feng Su casually placed the Illusionary Fox on the table.
He tugged at Yu Yan's sleeve, making her sit down with him.
Yu Yan's attention was immediately diverted by him.
"Master, haven't you noticed that I'm different from before?" Feng Su asked her.
The man's narrow, phoenix-shaped eyes held both expectation and a hint of grievance.
It was as if she was resenting that she hadn't noticed until now.
Yu Yan felt a burning sensation from his gaze, which made her even more certain that something was wrong with her.
The woman's peach blossom eyes were filled with a lazy smile, concealing all her emotions. Following Feng Su's words, she carefully examined the man.
Then, raising an eyebrow, he asked, "You've broken through?"
Feng Su instantly curled his lips into a smile: "That's right."
Yu Yan: "Congratulations."
"So, Master, may I make a request of you?" Feng Su asked.
He rested one hand on his knee and furrowed his sleeve as he spoke. This obvious little gesture caught Yu Yan's eye, and she laughed.
"What's there to be nervous about? Would your master go back on his word? Tell me, what do you want?"
As soon as she finished speaking, a thought suddenly popped into her mind.
Her smile faltered, and she felt inexplicably uneasy.
She seems to have forgotten that Feng Su likes her.
