Chapter 7 Even I, as a teacher, want to know.

"Want to know why?"

Yu Yan lifted the person up from a distance.

The other person clearly became interested as soon as she finished speaking.

She's still just a child, and like Feng Su, she doesn't know how to hide her emotions, Yu Yan thought to herself.

"I'd like to know too."

Yu Yan gazed leisurely toward the Spirit Pool within the barrier.

Perhaps it's an obsession with deliberately challenging the plot.

Or perhaps it was because they didn't want this genius young man in formations to perish so easily.

She thought that as long as she taught Lizhe more things, or gave him more advice, he wouldn't end up sacrificing himself a hundred years later.

Li Ze rubbed his hands together near his mouth. It was snowing again.

"Master, I know a place where we can take shelter from the snow. Shall we go there?"

The snow on Lizhou Island itself carries spiritual energy, which cannot be blocked by the spiritual energy barrier of cultivators.

Yu Yan kept her eyes fixed on the direction of the Spirit Pool.

After a long silence, she slowly said, "Let's go."

She estimated that Feng Su would need at least six months.

"Master, this is a snow rabbit, unique to the snow mountains. It's most delicious when roasted with snow water. Would you like to try some?"

Li Ze handed over a rabbit leg.

Yu Yan had seen him lighting the fire to skewer the meat earlier, and the aroma of the meat wafted into her nose. She reached out and took it.

Li Ze's fox-like eyes immediately crinkled into a smile.

No one knows the joy of feeding.

He especially enjoys cooking for beautiful people.

This was the first time he had ever seen someone as handsome as his master; he must look even more handsome when he eats!

Li Ze's focused gaze fell on Yu Yan's lips.

She thought he was anxious about his opinion of her. Yu Yan paused just as she touched the rabbit leg to her lips.

"Lize, has anyone ever told you that it's impolite to stare at someone eating?"

Before he could even feel disappointed, Li Ze quickly looked away at Yu Yan's teasing tone, his ears turning red.

But he still kept an eye on Yu Yan out of the corner of his eye, unwilling to give up.

He watched helplessly as the other person's pink lips became stained with oil. Yu Yan clicked her tongue lightly, and he hurriedly looked away.

"Your skills are excellent," Yu Yan praised.

"Thank you for the praise, Master! I will make it for you often when I have time!"

Before Yu Yan could even finish saying "no need," Li Ze quickly waved his hand and ran out of the cave: "It's settled then, Master. I'll go outside and gather some more firewood!"

The boy's voice faded into the distance.

Yu Yan lowered her eyes to look at the snow rabbit meat that had been bitten.

In fact, she had long since abstained from grains and had not eaten spiritual food for over eight hundred years.

She had forgotten what these things were supposed to taste like.

Yu Yan's thoughts drifted away.

She thought of the days when she first joined the sect and became a disciple of her master, cultivating together with her senior brothers and sisters, and also of the days when she and her senior brothers and sisters went out to train and risk their lives to seize treasures.

Even now, though she has reached the Great Ascension stage, there are still not many things she can easily protect.

The snow was still falling outside.

Spiritual energy continuously swirled into the cave.

Yu Yan never expected that her trip to Lizhou Island would yield such a rewarding result.

She's about to break through.

Li Ze stood outside the cave, holding a pile of firewood, lost in thought.

His admiring gaze fell towards the cave entrance.

Is this the master's enlightenment?

"It seems Venerable Yan is about to break through!" Li Quan appeared beside Li Ze at some point, stroking his beard and nodding in satisfaction.

Ze'er felt at ease knowing that she was there to guide him.

But seeing the young master carrying a pile of dry wood made him furious.

"You little brat, all you know is how to start a fire! Have you completed the task I assigned you? Let me tell you, if you don't successfully become Venerable Yan's disciple before she leaves, you'll be in big trouble—"

"Master is advancing in cultivation, Grandpa, please keep your voice down." Li Ze frowned.
