Chapter 20 You Have Resentment in Your Heart

He instinctively grabbed her wrist.

A cold gaze fell on his face, and he immediately let go.

Coming to his senses, he stared blankly at Yu Yan.

Mu Nanyu: "Uncle Yan?"

"You're awake." Yu Yan forcefully shoved the pill into his mouth.

With a gulp, Mu Nanyu swallowed the medicine.

He sat up in disbelief, his gaze fixed on Yu Yan.

He had only met his martial uncle once in his entire life.

The one I just dreamed about doesn't count.

"Uncle-Master, did you save me?" he asked.

"Otherwise what?" Yu Yan tapped the table. "Who else do you think could have rescued you from under Huo Luan?"

Mu Nanyu's face turned red and then white.

Suddenly, he knelt down on the ground with a thud.

Mu Nanyu: "Junior nephew thanks Junior Uncle for saving my life."

Everything in the dream felt terrifyingly real.

If his martial uncle hadn't appeared, perhaps everything would have unfolded as he saw in his dream.

The master was too busy sealing the Taotie to save him.

Senior brother couldn't possibly break into the Hehuan Sect on his own.

He thought he would make the same choice.

"Are you feeling unwell?"

Yu Yan glanced at him up and down and asked.

The man was still kneeling on the ground, and Yu Yan didn't tell him to get up.

It wasn't her who made him kneel.

Mu Nanyu stood up on his own. He smiled, his gentle and refined appearance was pleasing to the eye.

"Thank you for your concern, Uncle-Master."

"I heard from your master that you have excellent natural talent," Yu Yan suddenly changed the subject.

Mu Nanyu was taken aback; he hadn't expected Yu Yan to bring this up.

No matter how talented she is, she can't compare to Martial Aunt Yan.

The man blushed slightly, his ears turning red with embarrassment.

Whether Yu Yan saw it or not, she laughed out loud.

The other person's ears turned even redder.

Yu Yan: "I look forward to your future performance, Mu Nanyu. Cultivate well and don't disappoint your senior brother."

Mu Nanyu suddenly looked up at her.

He always felt that his uncle's words had a hidden meaning.

"Yes, Junior Nephew will definitely work hard in cultivation and live up to the expectations of Master and Uncle."

Mu Nanyu had clear, bright eyes, and Yu Yan found it hard to believe that the person in front of her was the same person who was grinning and spouting crude jokes in the book.

She must inform her senior brother when she gets back; he needs to keep a close eye on the future pillar of the sect.

Mu Nanyu gripped her sleeve, seemingly wanting to say something but then stopping herself.

He wanted to remind his martial aunt not to easily fall in love with her disciple.

Feng Su is not her true love; she will be hurt or die because of him.

As far as he knew, his uncle did not have any disciples at this time.

Most importantly, what if it really is just a dream?

"You have something to say?"

Yu Yan stared at him with great interest.

If it wasn't because of the Hehuan Sect, then why did he go astray?

"Does Uncle-Master know what Master is doing?" Mu Nanyu asked anxiously.

Yu Yan's brows furrowed, and her breathtaking face instantly turned cold: "Are you blaming your senior brother for not coming to save you?"

"No! Uncle-Master, let me explain!"

"Then what do you mean by asking that?" Yu Yan pressed closer, her gaze full of scrutiny as she looked at him.

Mu Nanyu lowered her head in a panic, "I'm worried about Master."

"What are you worried about? Why are you worried? Is it because he didn't come to save you? Mu Nanyu, are you holding a grudge?"

"No! I didn't!" Mu Nanyu quickly retorted, looking up.

Yu Yan met his sharp gaze.

Mu Nanyu's heart was pounding. He had never complained, not in his dreams, and certainly not now.
