After rubbing for an unknown amount of time, Mu Nanyu finally withdrew her hand.
His heart sank deeper and deeper.
Master did indeed go to the back mountain, and he came to Yan Hui Peak immediately after receiving the news.
In his dream, he didn't know when his martial uncle had taken him as a disciple, but the other party's name was indeed Feng Su.
Feng Su...
When Li Ze returned with two boxes of spiritual food, Mu Nanyu had already left.
After leaving the courtroom, he insisted on going to the canteen to get some food.
Yu Yan thought it wasn't a big deal, so she casually left him at the canteen at the foot of the mountain.
"Senior brother, I brought back some spiritual food. Would you like to try some?"
Li Ze could see Feng Su practicing his sword under the peach tree from afar.
He silently praised his senior brother for his diligence.
Feng Su was disturbed by the look Mu Nanyu gave him when she left.
The other person seemed wary and resistant towards him.
He clearly did nothing.
"Need not."
Feng Su stopped his attack, his neck covered in a fine layer of sweat.
His eyes narrowed as he saw Li Ze turn the corner to enter the hall.
"What are you going to do?" Feng Su asked.
"Naturally, it should be sent to Master."
As Li Ze spoke, he shook the food box in his hand.
To be honest, the spiritual food prepared by the Cangmiao Sect is really quite good.
Although I'm still a little bit inferior to him.
Feng Su watched as Li Ze leaped and bounded into the palace gate, and he pursed his lips.
He immediately lost the urge to practice his swordplay, sheathed his sword, and went inside.
Yanhui Hall
Yu Yan was leaning back on the couch, teasing a spirit rabbit.
This little rabbit was acting like a fool, repeatedly banging its head against the barrier of Yan Hui Peak.
She couldn't bear to look at it any longer, so she grabbed it.
The rabbit clearly hasn't developed any intelligence yet, otherwise it wouldn't be so foolish as to keep banging its head against the road even though it knows there's no way forward.
Yu Yan reached out and stroked the soft fur between the rabbit's ears, her eyes narrowing as a faint smile played on her lips.
This was the scene that Li Ze saw as soon as he entered.
His heart was pounding rapidly.
"Master!"
Yu Yan turned to look at him, "You're back?"
"Master, I brought you some." Li Ze said as if presenting a treasure.
He seemed to have just noticed the rabbit beside Yu Yan, and then he asked...
"Where did this rabbit come from?"
His eyes lit up; his master had praised his roasted rabbit meat last time.
Perhaps sensing danger, the spirit rabbit nudged closer to Yu Yan's hand.
It rubbed its red rabbit ears against Yu Yan's palm, again and again, making her feel incredibly itchy.
Yu Yan hugged the rabbit tightly in her arms.
"Put it over there."
Since her apprentice had brought it back specifically for her, she wouldn't refuse it.
"Okay!" Li Ze obediently put down the food box.
"Master, may I touch it?"
As Li Ze spoke, he moved closer and quickly analyzed the spirit rabbit from head to toe.
Then the boy frowned.
No, they're too thin. They need to be fattened up before slaughtering them.
Yu Yan was unaware of his thoughts. Seeing him staring at the spirit rabbit with interest, she reached out to hand it to him.
Li Ze was overjoyed, but before he could catch it, another pair of hands blocked his way.
"Master, don't give it to him, the little rabbit won't survive if you do."
Feng Su's indifferent voice rang out, and Li Ze froze.
"Senior brother, what do you mean by that..." he said quietly.
How did he know what he was thinking?
Feng Su placed his palm on the rabbit's ears and rubbed them a little; it seemed that his master had just done just that.
The boy squinted his eyes contentedly. "It means exactly what it says."
"Master, I didn't,"
Li Ze turned around to argue.
Little did he know that the woman was scrutinizing him.
