Yu Yan looked at his expression and didn't buy it.
Li Ze is good at playing the victim.
As expected, seeing that Yu Yan ignored him, the young man realized he had made a fool of himself.
He smiled again.
"Since Master thinks it's not bad, I'll make it for you often from now on!"
"Cultivation is the most important thing." Yu Yan put down her spoon.
A white porcelain spoon tapped against a jade bowl, producing a crisp sound. Li Ze quickly replied, "Yes."
In reality, all I wanted to do was cook some porridge.
It doesn't waste time.
Moreover, it was made for Master!
"Master."
Before Li Ze could say anything more, Ji Wuye walked in.
His gaze lingered on the jade bowl beside the woman for a moment. "Second Senior Brother is here too."
Li Ze composed himself.
He gave a soft snort, clearly indicating his displeasure.
Ji Wuye didn't mind. He walked up to Yu Yan and stared straight at her with his clear eyes.
"Master, I have encountered a problem in my cultivation."
The boy's humble and eager-to-learn demeanor was completely different from how he had said on the spirit boat that he was not suited for sword cultivation.
Yu Yan's gaze drifted almost imperceptibly across his chin.
She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt that the bruises there hadn't faded.
The woman cracked her knuckles, and thinking of Li Ze's attitude towards him, her voice turned slightly cold:
"Lize, you and Wuye are fellow disciples, don't act like a child, understand?"
"He's always playing the victim!"
Li Ze muttered in a low voice.
"Hmm?" Yu Yan raised her eyes. "What did you say?"
"Ah, Master is right, I will remember!"
Li Ze's fox-like eyes curved into crescents as he imitated Ji Wuye's obedient and harmless manner and bowed to Yu Yan.
Then he turned and ran out of the main hall.
Yu Yan laughed in exasperation; she wouldn't stoop to his level.
Ji Wuye had already taken out the sword manual.
He lowered his eyes, clutching the notebook; his master had actually warned Li Ze on his behalf.
For some reason, a secret pleasure quietly welled up in the boy's heart, and he quickly suppressed it.
He frowned slightly and turned the sword manual to the second to last page.
"Master, this is the place, but I don't understand."
"You already know all of the previous ones?" Yu Yan said calmly.
Ji Wuye replied, "Yes."
"Demonstrate it once."
Yu Yan propped her head up, seemingly ready to wait for the young man to demonstrate his sword moves.
Ji Wuye pursed his thin lips slightly, a hint of embarrassment and helplessness flashing across his face.
"What's wrong?" Yu Yan asked.
"Master, may I borrow your sword?"
The boy hesitated for a long time before finally speaking.
Yu Yan withdrew her hand from supporting her head.
She sat up straight, her long hair draped over her chest swaying in a beautiful arc as she moved.
"I remember giving you a sword technique along with the sword before."
She spent a long time choosing that sword, making sure it couldn't be tainted with evil energy before handing it over to him with peace of mind.
It can be said that she has been extremely careful in preventing Ji Wuye from becoming possessed by a demon.
Upon hearing this, Ji Wuye immediately knelt down.
"Disciple begs Master's punishment!"
Yu Yan was startled by his sudden action.
"That sword was broken by the disciple..."
The boy's voice was filled with frustration, and he hung his head so that his expression was not visible.
"You broke it too?" Yu Yan asked with a smile, her eyes sparkling.
How come all of her apprentices are so capable?
also?
Ji Wuye looked up, his eyes revealing obvious doubt.
Yu Yan didn't say much; she drew her natal sword.
"Use this one for the demonstration first. After we're done, I'll find you a sturdier one."
Ji Wuye took Yu Yan's sword.
The cool touch sent a shiver down his spine.
The master and senior brother just used it when they were sparring.
