Noticing his gaze, Feng Su glanced back at him, then slightly tugged at his lips without saying a word.
Li Ze gave a soft hum and moved closer.
"Senior Brother Ling, what did you feed her?"
"A Spirit-Returning Pill," Ling Chen said with a smile. "She should wake up soon."
"If there's nothing else, we can leave now," Mu Nanyu said, as if he had finally finished cleaning his sword.
Just as the group had taken a few steps, a girl's soft voice came from behind them.
"Thank you for saving me."
Su Ruoruo rubbed her sore arms, opened her blurry eyes, and looked at them gratefully.
A few rays of sunlight shone through the gaps in the tree canopy and fell around her. The girl stood up and quickly caught up with her.
Su Ruoruo paused for a moment when she saw the masked boy who was about the same age as her.
"You're welcome. Since you're alright, we'll be going now."
Mu Nanyu smiled gently.
The girl looked at him with amazement in her eyes; she paused for a moment.
"My name is Su Ruoruo. Do you know the name of your benefactor? Ruoruo will surely repay you in the future!"
Su Ruoruo's gaze swept across the faces of the four people, and the more she looked, the more shocked she became.
She wasn't some country bumpkin from the mortal realm; back in the Su family, she had seen it all.
Yet the people in front of me exuded an indescribable air of nobility from their clothing and demeanor.
Su Ruoruo's heart was pounding. Could this be her destiny?
"unnecessary."
Feng Su frowned beneath his mask; he felt inexplicably irritated and just wanted to leave as soon as possible.
Mu Nanyu was stunned. Had he misheard?
What did she say her name was? Su Ruoruo?
Is it the Su Ruoruo that he knows?
He had originally planned to go to Shuiyun Kingdom some time later, where they might have to stay for a while before they could have a chance to bump into her by chance.
How could Su Ruoruo be here? Shouldn't she be in Shuiyun Kingdom right now?
Perhaps they just share the same name?
"Why is my sister here all alone?"
Mu Nanyu suddenly asked.
Feng Su turned to look at him; his little face was tense.
What's wrong with Senior Brother Mu? Why did his attitude change so quickly?
He didn't know what was wrong with him.
He has been inexplicably rejecting this girl ever since she came to him.
Even though they had never met before, Feng Su's probing gaze fell on Su Ruoruo.
Noticing Feng Su's gaze, Su Ruoruo turned around and smiled in response.
Feng Su immediately looked away.
Mu Nanyu observed the interaction between the two without making a sound, and a smile spread across his face.
He thought that perhaps there was no need to confirm it; this Su Ruoruo was indeed Su Ruoruo!
"I got lost in the forest and accidentally got separated from my family."
Su Ruoruo smiled sweetly, her almond-shaped eyes filled with moisture.
She looked at Mu Nanyu with an innocent and dependent gaze.
Mu Nanyu's brow twitched, and he quickly looked at Feng Su.
The other person had their head down, seemingly lost in thought.
He tapped Feng Su on the head in exasperation, and the boy looked up in dissatisfaction.
Li Ze's fox-like eyes darted around as he tugged at Ling Chen's sleeve beside him.
Ling Chen turned slightly to the side and asked, "What's wrong, Junior Brother?"
"Senior Brother Ling, don't you think Senior Brother Mu is acting a little strange?"
Li Ze whispered in Ling Chen's ear, while keeping an eye on Mu Nanyu's movements.
The man in white, as beautiful as a painting, suddenly turned to look at him, and Li Ze, feeling guilty, quickly jumped away from Ling Chen's side.
Senior Brother Mu must have heard it!
