The person who came was Yuzhu. He lowered his head and walked quickly to Qin Yanning's side with a birdcage in his hand. There was a green bird in the cage.
Qin Yanning smiled and took the cage from Yuzhu's hand and asked Lu softly, "Does this bird look like your original form?"
Qin Yanning had already figured out that Lu Qingqing's original form was a bluebird. Although the bird that Yuzhu found was not exactly the same, it was barely 50% similar to Lu Qingqing's original form.
Lu frowned slightly and nodded, "The color is quite similar, but I wouldn't be so petty when I turned back to my original form."
Qin Yanning couldn't help but knock on the birdcage when he heard this. "Look, you want to save her life, but she still despises you."
Qin Yanning pushed the cage to Yuzhu and said, "Kill it."
Lu Qingqing really couldn't understand why the bird was going to be killed for no reason, but Yuzhu didn't hesitate. She opened the cage and strangled the bird to death very quickly.
Qin Yanning turned to look at Lu Qingqing again, "Scold me like you did just now."
Lu Qingqing was completely bewildered, but Yuzhu had already understood what his master meant. He explained, "My dear, our eldest daughter wants to save you. Since our master has said in front of the Imperial Master that she wants to dig out your eyes, then we have to go all out."
Lu Qingqing then realized that the bird that Yuzhu brought was her scapegoat, and an embarrassed expression suddenly appeared on her face.
Now that she knew Qin Yanning had no intention of digging out her eyes, she could no longer utter any of those curses. Those street slangs were taught to her by the little monsters in Weishan after they came down the mountain. Although she knew they were not nice words, she still couldn't figure out what they meant.
But since Qin Yanning asked, she could only do it.
Qin Yanning couldn't help but frown as she listened to Lu Qingqing scolding her, from a bad woman to a rice bug. Yuzhu, who was always calm, was also amused by Lu Qingqing and started laughing.
Lu Qingqing felt a little embarrassed herself. She looked at Qin Yanning and touched her hair. "How about you teach me again?"
Qin Yanning really couldn't stand Lu Qingqing's stupid yet smart look anymore. She took out the spirit cage from Fang Zhijie's warehouse, placed it on the table, and grabbed Lu Qingqing's hand.
"Let me bleed you some. Don't bear it if it hurts."
As he spoke, Qin Yanning took out another dagger he carried with him and cut Lu Qingqing's wrist. Lu Qingqing felt pain and couldn't help screaming, but Qin Yanning dripped all her blood on the bird's corpse in the birdcage.
This alone was not enough. Qin Yanning saw that it was almost done and handed Lu Qingqing a bottle of trauma medicine. "Inject your demonic power into this bird."
Fang Zhijie is a very suspicious person, so Qin Yanning must do his best to perfect this play to ensure that Fang Zhijie will not find anything unusual.
Lu Qingqing understood that Qin Yanning was helping her. She reached out and sprinkled the external injury medicine on her wrist, then made a hand gesture and poured all her demonic power into the lifeless bird in the cage. Although the spiritual power slowly dissipated from the bird, it was enough to deceive Fang Zhijie.
Qin Yanning glanced at Yuzhu, who immediately took the birdcage obediently. "Don't worry, Miss. Yuzhu will take care of it."
Qin Yanning nodded, and Yuzhu quickly retreated with the birdcage.
The trauma medicine Qin Yanning gave her was also top-grade. Lu Qingqing's wrist had stopped bleeding. She looked at Qin Yanning and raised her eyebrows. "How is it? My acting is pretty good, right?"
Qin Yanning couldn't help but nodded, "It's really good. The blood-drawing scene was the best acting."
Lu Qingqing was about to continue bragging when she realized that the part about taking blood was clearly her true feelings, okay?
Seeing that Lu Qingqing was still talking nonsense, Qin Yanning opened the door of the spirit cage on the table and said, "I'm sorry to bother you. Change into your original form and go in."
The reason why Qin Yanning chose this cage was because it was a space-type magic weapon that could change its size at will. Even if Lu Qingqing's original body was relatively large, as long as she entered this cage, she could shrink both the cage and the bird to the size of a palm.
Saving Lu Qingqing is already a risky thing, and having this cage can better erase her whereabouts.
Lu Qingqing was stunned for a moment but still obediently turned into her original form and entered the cage. Her original form was a bluebird, but unlike ordinary bluebirds, her tail feathers were very long, and the scar left by Qin Yanning just now was still retained on her right wing.
Qin Yanning reached out and touched Lu Qingqing's fluffy little head. The bird's down was very soft, and Lu Qingqing had thick fur. Qin Yanning's fingers could even sink into the feathers on her head.
Feeling Qin Yanning's touch, Lu Qingqing playfully revealed her little pointed beak and pecked Qin Yanning twice. However, Qin Yanning didn't feel any pain, just a little itchy. She scratched Lu Qingqing's neck twice, then closed the cage door, shrunk the spirit cage to the size of a palm, and hid it in her sleeve.
Lu Qingqing felt her vision go dark before she was thrown into Qin Yanning's sleeve. Looking at the darkness around her, she chirped curiously. Qin Yanning whispered soothingly, "Be good, don't make any noise. I'll let you out when we get home."
Only then did Lu Qingqing stop making any noise.
Qin Yanning successfully obtained the bone whistle and rescued a little blue bird today. She had no intention of staying in the palace any longer, so she got on the sedan chair and went home.
As soon as Qin Yanning arrived at the palace gate, his sedan chair was stopped by Fang Zhijie's personal servant. The man was named Fang Yu, an outer disciple accepted by Fang Zhijie.
Qin Yanning lifted the curtain of the sedan chair and looked at Fang Yu, "Is there something wrong?"
Fang Yu said that he was Fang Zhijie's outer disciple, but in fact he had no talent for cultivation. Fang Zhijie gave him this title just so that he could enjoy his care.
