Chapter 95 Friends

Chapter 95 Friends

Seeing that Su Nianxue's attitude was rather cold and that she seemed unwilling to communicate, Xia Fanxing did not take the initiative to speak to her.

Even with roommates, there's no need to be overly familiar with each other.

If you can get along, then get along; if you can't, then so be it. There's no need to force it.

So for a moment, only the faint sound of Su Nianxue packing her things remained in the dormitory, and the atmosphere was very quiet.

After a while, Su Nianxue packed her luggage, picked up the thermos, and went out without saying a word, probably to get hot water to wash up.

Taking advantage of this time, Xia Fanxing quickly entered the space to wash up briefly.

But by the time she finished washing up, changed into her pajamas, and snuggled into her warm bed, Su Nianxue still hadn't returned.

Xia Fanxing was lying in bed reading medical books when, after a while, the dormitory door was suddenly pushed open.

Although Su Nianxue tried her best to suppress her sobs, Xia Fanxing's hearing was exceptional, and she immediately noticed that something was wrong with her.

Xia Fanxing didn't even need to ask; just by looking at Su Nianxue's current condition, she could guess what had happened to her.

Su Nianxue limped in, her trousers rolled up high, revealing a horrifying red mark on her left calf and ankle, clearly indicating she had just been burned.

She was in so much pain that her brows furrowed, her eyes were red, and tears streamed down her face like pearls from a broken string.

The indifference she had deliberately maintained was long since replaced by burning pain and a belly full of grievances.

Xia Fanxing immediately put down her book, lifted the covers, and went to greet her, "How did you burn yourself? Sit down quickly so I can take a look."

Her voice was cool and calm, carrying a magical power that reassured people.

Su Nianxue hadn't expected that despite her previous coldness towards Xia Fanxing, Xia Fanxing would now show concern for her without holding a grudge when she saw her injured.

She froze for a moment, bit her lip, and tears streamed down her face.

She choked back tears and said, "N-nothing..."

But although she said she was fine, she couldn't help but gasp in pain.

She pulled out a chair from the table and stiffly tried to sit down.

Xia Fanxing reached out and helped her to sit down on the edge of the bed. Then she knelt down to check the injury on her leg.

"It's quite a burn; the skin is very red and swollen." Xia Fanxing gave the diagnosis while going to her cabinet to get medicine.

She took out a small ceramic jar containing her own homemade burn ointment.

She squatted down again, scooped out a small piece of burn ointment and applied it to Su Nianxue's injury, and immediately a cool herbal fragrance filled the air.

"How did you get this?" Xia Fanxing asked, trying to distract Su Nianxue as she gently applied the ointment.

With tears in her eyes, Su Nianxue sniffed and said, "When I came back from getting water, the corridor was dark, so I didn't notice..."

She felt wronged; it was obvious that she only told part of the truth and didn't mention what truly upset her.

"I'm going to rub it in, it might hurt a little, just bear with it." Xia Fanxing applied a little pressure with her fingertips.

Su Nianxue subconsciously clenched her teeth, but instead of the expected pain, a comfortable coolness suppressed the burning pain in her wound.

Su Nianxue's sobs gradually subsided.

She stared in surprise at Xia Fanxing's actions and the dark green ointment that Xia Fanxing had applied to her wound.

"What kind of medicine is this? It seems... it doesn't hurt as much anymore..." Su Nianxue asked incredulously.

Xia Fanxing casually instructed, "This is a burn ointment I made myself. Watch how I apply it, and then you'll have to apply it yourself. Don't get it wet for the next couple of days, and apply the ointment on time. I guarantee it won't leave a scar, and it won't affect your dancing."

When Su Nianxue heard the words "no scars" and "no impact on dancing," her tense nerves finally relaxed.

For a dancer like her, smooth skin and normal legs are life itself!

Looking at Xia Fanxing's focused face, she recalled the various "legends" about Xia Fanxing that she had heard before, and then thought of her cold attitude towards Xia Fanxing when she came back. A huge sense of guilt and gratitude welled up in her heart.

She couldn't hold back any longer and said in a tearful voice, "Thank you, Nurse Xia, you're such a kind person!"

Her voice lowered, as if afraid of being discovered, "Waaah...it doesn't seem like the new neighbor who moved in next door..."

Xia Fanxing paused slightly. "Next door? You mean Captain Qin Wanqiu?"

"It was her!" Su Nianxue wiped away her tears indignantly, and said in a low voice, "I was carrying a kettle of hot water when she suddenly opened the door and came out without looking where she was going, and almost bumped into me!"

"I was startled and quickly retreated, but the hot water splashed out and scalded me! She just said, 'How can you walk so carelessly? You need to watch your step,' and then closed the door and went back inside. She didn't even ask me if I was alright. She's so cold-blooded!"

Su Nianxue became increasingly angry as she spoke, and she no longer cared that it was her first time meeting Xia Fanxing. The awkwardness she felt had long since vanished as she was furiously criticizing Qin Wanqiu.

"And you know what? I accidentally saw her when she opened the door, and she actually lives in a dorm room all by herself, and she has so much stuff, there are still several big boxes piled up at the door of her room! Although... although those things look pretty high-end, and it doesn't seem to violate any rules, I just felt really uncomfortable seeing them!"

Su Nianxue paused for a moment, then nodded to herself and said, "It should be that I hate her, so I can't stand her. Hmm, that's right."

Xia Fanxing listened quietly to Su Nianxue's complaints.

Without stopping, she carefully applied the ointment to Su Nianxue's wound and bandaged it.

She said softly, "Okay, don't cry. Be careful not to touch it. I'll pack some ointment for you later. Remember to apply and massage it on time every day."

Looking at the well-treated wound and feeling almost no pain left, Su Nianxue felt a sense of warmth and comfort in her heart.

She wiped away her tears and looked at Xia Fanxing apologetically, saying, "I'm sorry, Nurse Xia, I didn't mean to ignore you when I came back. I just got back from the tour, and I'm so exhausted that my bones feel like they're about to fall apart. My face is stiff from smiling, and I really don't have the energy to talk."

"And ever since I found out you became my roommate, I've heard a lot about you, intentionally or unintentionally. I think you're amazing. You're so amazing, I'm a little... unsure how to talk to you. I'm afraid you'll think I'm too loud, afraid you won't like me..."

Su Nianxue poured out all her little thoughts, revealing her lively and straightforward personality.

Looking at her adorable face with her nose red from crying, Xia Fanxing smiled slightly. "It's okay, don't worry about it. You can just call me Fanxing from now on."

"Okay! Fanxing, then you can call me Nianxue!" Su Nianxue nodded emphatically, her tears turning into a smile.

Su Nianxue thought of something and subconsciously tried to walk to get something, but the pain from her burned leg made her cry out.

Xia Fanxing asked, "What do you want to do? I'll help you."

Su Nianxue pointed to her suitcase and said, "There are chocolates I brought back inside. They're so sweet, you should try some!"

No matter how novel or interesting something is, Xia Fanxing has plenty of it in her space, so she's not interested in it.

But when faced with Su Nianxue's bright, smiling eyes, she still took out two chocolates from her suitcase, and she and Su Nianxue each ate one.

Su Nianxue took a small bite of the chocolate, the rich aroma and sweetness spreading in her mouth, making her forget her injury. She happily swayed her body and looked at Xia Fanxing: "It's so delicious! Do you like it, Fanxing?"

Xia Fanxing smiled faintly and looked back, "Yes, I like it."
