"I'll keep the rest for myself."
The implication was that there was no room for further discussion.
Upon hearing this, the man opposite, who had been staring intently at the person without showing any emotion, suddenly revealed a smile that was almost overflowing in his deep eyes, which seemed to absorb all light.
His smile was like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, creating invisible ripples that spread outwards from his eyes, softening his usually cold and stern face.
friend?
The little girl admitted it herself!
Yan Yu felt as if his heart had been gently scratched by some soft little claw, or as if he had been soaked in warm honey water. The tingling sweetness spread from the tip of his heart to every part of his body.
That's right, we're friends now.
The almost imperceptible curve of his lips couldn't help but rise a little higher, carrying a hint of unwavering certainty.
Soon, she'll have a boyfriend.
Soon... will be his wife.
He had already begun to quickly plan in his mind how to completely pull the person into his arms once they arrived and settled in.
Yan Yu's thoughts had already drifted far away like a wild horse, while on the other side, the girl who had been eagerly waiting for Ruan Tang to give in suddenly froze, as if someone had poured a bucket of ice water over her head.
A fleeting look of surprise and annoyance at being publicly humiliated flashed across those eyes, which were originally brimming with tears and ready to spill at any moment, but it was quickly replaced by a more refined expression.
She sniffed hard and turned her attention to Yan Yu, who was diagonally opposite her.
"Oh dear, I see..."
She deliberately dragged out the tone, her voice even sweeter than before.
“Comrade, aren’t we all educated youth who responded to the call of the country and went to the countryside together?” She blinked her big, watery eyes and said in a pitiful tone, “When you’re away from home, you should help each other and be united and friendly.”
Ruan Tang was getting annoyed.
She quickly stuffed the aluminum box into her crossbody bag, and under the cover of the bag, with a thought, she moved all the remaining hawthorn cakes inside into her spatial dimension.
Then, without changing her expression, she took out the empty box and waved it at the girl.
"Sorry, that's all."
"If you're really feeling unwell, you should ask a flight attendant."
After saying that, she turned her head away completely and ignored him.
The girl sitting in the aisle was so angry she almost fell over. She always managed to get everyone to take care of her when she acted weak and vulnerable, so why didn't it work today?
She looked up again, unwilling to give up, just about to speak to Yan Yu—
Yan Yu's eyes, which had been softly fixed on Ruan Tang's face, suddenly turned and flashed with a cold light, like a drawn sword!
When his gaze, as cold as a thousand-year-old glacier, fell upon the girl who was still performing with all her might, the temperature, which had just been as warm as the spring sun, instantly plummeted to freezing point.
The air seemed to be frozen.
What a chilling gaze it was!
It carries no human emotion, only the absolute indifference and warning of predators at the top of the food chain.
It was as if they weren't looking at a living, breathing person, but rather at an eyesore, an oblivious ant.
All the girl's words caught in her throat.
Her blood seemed to freeze at that moment, and a fear from the depths of her soul made her tremble uncontrollably, her teeth chattering.
She dared not look at Yan Yu again, abruptly shrinking back and burying her head tightly. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
