Chapter 246 Extra - Let's Go to Town (1/2)

The medicinal spring was shrouded in mist.

Ruan Tang dipped her fingertips in spring water and gently touched the charred back of the orange.

The newly grown pink flesh greedily absorbed the medicinal power in the water, healing at an astonishing speed.

The big orange dog hummed contentedly, its large orange head bobbing gently in the water, as if it were dozing off.

But beneath its feet, a small blue whirlwind never stopped.

The whirlwind whipped up the spring water, making a splashing sound.

In a little while, it will push itself to the east.

A moment later, it bumped into the spring wall on the west side.

It was having so much fun that it completely forgot about the terrible ordeal it had just suffered when it was almost roasted alive.

Ruan Tang was both annoyed and amused, and poked its wet forehead.

"All you do is play."

On the other side, Little White was unusually quiet.

Its small body sat cross-legged in the middle of the water, its paws resting on its legs, its breathing long and deep, as if it had entered a meditative state.

A wisp of silver light emanated from its body and swirled around it.

The silver light was no longer so dazzling; instead, it became heavier, and something seemed to be slowly taking shape within it.

The silver light would occasionally condense into an incomprehensible rune, but it would quickly dissipate into the mist.

Yan Yu stood by the spring, staring intently at Xiao Bai.

“It’s the spatial bloodline.” His voice was low, but his tone was very certain.

Ruan Tang was taken aback.

"Spatial bloodline?"

“Yes,” Yan Yu explained, “Treasure-hunting rats are naturally very sensitive to spatial fluctuations, and the top-tier bloodlines can directly manipulate space. When it slit the wolf’s throat earlier, it used this bloodline power to tear apart that small piece of space.”

Tear space apart.

These four words made Ruan Tang's heart skip a beat.

That's terrifying.

Ruan Tang looked at Xiao Bai, never expecting that her little thing would have such powerful strength hidden inside its body.

"Then it..."

“It’s a good thing.” Yan Yu interrupted her. “This time I almost lost my life, but it just so happened to help it break through the limitations of its bloodline. Once it fully absorbs this power, it won’t be the same little thing that could only squeak anymore.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Little White in the middle of the spring trembled violently.

The silver light around it suddenly shone brightly, and then all of it rushed into its body!

Xiao Bai slowly opened her eyes.

A flash of silver light darted across those dark purple, beady eyes.

It felt... as if it was different.

A warm, comforting power filled my body, as if it were something I had always possessed.

Its mind stirred slightly.

The next second, it vanished from the spot.

"squeak?"

A questioning voice rang in Ruan Tang's ears.

She turned her head and saw that Little White had somehow gotten onto her shoulder, tilting its head and scratching at its ears with its little paws, looking completely bewildered.

It was just... in the water.

How did it end up on its little owner in the blink of an eye?

"Awoo!"

The big orange cat in the water also noticed. It swam over curiously, trying to rub its head against the suddenly teleported little white cat, but ended up bumping into Ruan Tang's leg.

Ruan Tang was amused by these two clowns, and felt much more relaxed.

She lifted Little White off her shoulder and took out two spirit fruits from her storage ring.

One was given to Little White, and the other was given to Big Orange.

"Alright, everyone eat up. We should head out after we finish."

A month passed in the blink of an eye.

When Ruan Tang and Yan Yu set foot on the Gobi Desert again, the air was still filled with that familiar heat.

Xiao Bai perched on Ruan Tang's shoulder, no longer looking as nervous as before.

Its little nose sniffed the air and quickly distinguished several different demonic beast auras, even being able to determine their approximate direction and strength.
