Yan Yu wasn't annoyed by Yu Hao's tears and snot streaming down his face.
He raised his hand and, with the hand that wasn't holding the gun, patted Yu Hao's shoulder steadily and firmly.
"Alright, you're a grown man."
The voice was still cold, but when it entered Yu Hao's ears, it was like a calming injection, soothing his anxious heart.
Yan Yu's gaze turned to Li Jianshe, who was walking over.
Li Jianshe's lips trembled, and his eyes were filled with excitement, gratitude, and a deep sense of awe as he looked at Yan Yu.
“Uncle Jianshe,” Yan Yu said briefly, but with undeniable force, “the stench of blood here is too strong. We need to get the prey down the mountain immediately and clean up the scene as soon as possible, otherwise it will attract even more trouble.”
The words "something even more troublesome" sent a shiver down everyone's spine.
These dozen or so wolves and three wild boars almost wiped them out; they didn't dare to imagine what would happen if something else came along.
"Yes, yes, yes! Yan Zhiqing is right!" Li Jianshe seemed to wake up from a dream and nodded repeatedly.
This isn't just an educated youth; this is a lifeline that can save lives!
"Quick! All of you, stop standing around! Get moving!" Li Jianshe yelled at the top of his lungs. "Tie up the wolves and wild boars tightly! Get them down the mountain right now!"
The surviving members finally came to their senses and, one by one, with their legs trembling, began to work in a flurry.
Yan Yu, along with Yu Hao and Zhao Weiguo who still had the strength, quickly covered the bloodstains on the ground with snow and soil.
His movements were frighteningly fast; with each shovel stroke, he precisely covered the largest area of bloodstains. His calmness and efficiency made Zhao Weiguo's eyelids twitch.
This...this doesn't seem like a typical educated youth at all.
His skill in handling the scene was even more seasoned than that of the veteran soldiers in the reconnaissance company he had ever met.

When the gunshots rang out from the back mountain, Ruan Tang, in the study in the west wing, sensed Yan Yu's thoughts through the contract.
I went to the back mountain; there was some commotion. I'll be back after I've dealt with it.
The man's voice rang directly in her mind, so calm and reassuring.
Ruan Tang was engrossed in reading a travelogue when she heard this, and simply gave a soft "hmm".
Be careful, brother.
She knew that to her husband, the wild animals in the mountains were no different from the chicks in the backyard.
But then, the burst of gunfire made her frown slightly.
Xiao Bai, who was standing guard by the desk, was already frantic with worry.
It stood up with a pair of small, silver-tipped ears, pacing anxiously in circles, its bushy tail slapping the ground impatiently.
"Squeak! Squeak squeak!"
(Bad guys! Lots of bad guys! The master is in danger! Little master, let's go help!)
It was so anxious that it kept pawing at Ruan Tang's trouser leg with its two tiny mithril paws, its dark purple eyes filled with worry.
Ruan Tang put down her book, scooped it into her arms, and gently stroked its smooth fur.
"Don't worry, your husband is very capable, he'll be fine."
She could clearly feel that Yan Yu's aura was steady and powerful, without any disturbance.
This shows that everything is under his control.
Little White nestled in her arms, still uneasy, but her little master's reassurance worked, and it finally calmed down. However, its little ears remained alertly perked up, pointing towards the back mountain.
After about half an hour, the gunfire stopped.
After a while, Ruan Tang sensed Yan Yu's aura rapidly moving down the mountain.
A faint dimple appeared at the corner of her mouth as she picked up the book again.
It seems the problem has been resolved. This chapter has been finished (please click to continue reading the next chapter!).
