She was completely bewildered by what she heard and simply ignored it.

"Conversely, if the earth's energy is drained from a place, that land will slowly die, become barren, and suffer from constant natural and man-made disasters."
Yan Yu's dark eyes were as calm as an abyss; he understood.
Ruan Tang's finger stopped on the map, and her voice lowered: "These black stones are like straws inserted into the earth's veins. This great formation is frantically drawing away the earth's energy from the Mao'er Mountain area, and then... shifting it in one direction."
Her finger traced a faint dotted line drawn in light ink on the map, moving southeastward.
The line cuts through mountains, crosses rivers, and eventually disappears at the edge of the map.
"They want to transfer the earth's energy here to somewhere in the southeast."
This inference completely changed the nature of the whole matter.
This is no longer a simple case of enemy agents searching for treasure.
This is... stealing the nation's destiny!
Forcibly injecting the vitality of one place into another can indeed lead to explosive development in that place in the short term.
But such a method is tantamount to drinking poison to quench thirst.
Places where the earth's energy is drained will quickly decline, while places that receive earth's energy will have an unstable foundation, and once the supply of earth's energy is cut off, they will face an even more terrible backlash.

She stared at the end of the dotted line on the map, and a terrible thought flashed through her mind.
"Unless, along this line, there are several 'transfer stations' like Mao'er Mountain, used to store and relay the earth's energy!"
Ruan Tang suddenly raised her head, staring intently at Yan Yu.
"Brother, do you have a current map? The most detailed one! We need to know immediately what exactly is in the southeast of Jilin Province!"
Yan Yu patted her shoulder reassuringly, and without the slightest hesitation, took out a brand-new world map and a map of Yan Kingdom from his spatial storage, unfolding the two maps on the other side of the animal skin scroll.
He had a guess.
