A surge of emotion, a mixture of extreme excitement and frantic desire, surged forth like a burst dam, violently assaulting her consciousness.
Go in!
Hurry up and go inside!
want to!
Ruan Tang's vision went black from the sudden impact, and she felt dizzy. It was as if a rampaging wild beast had been stuffed into her dantian, almost tearing her apart.
She used all the power of the contract to barely suppress Ruomu's terrifying agitation.
"Tangtang!"
Yan Yu noticed her abnormality almost instantly. He stretched out his long arm and pulled her into his arms as she swayed. His hot hands gently stroked her cold back, and his voice was low and deep, carrying an undeniable power of comfort.
"What's wrong?"
Ruan Tang shook her head weakly, her delicate eyebrows furrowed tightly, her face as pale as paper.
"I don't know... Ruomu, Ruomu seems to be losing control."
She took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the impulse within her that was almost consuming her reason.
"It seems... really wants me to go into this cave. There must be something inside that it wants at all costs."
Yan Yu suddenly looked up, his deep black eyes sweeping towards the cave entrance like sharp blades.
A damp, rotten smell, like rotten leaves and soil that had been fermenting for hundreds of years, was emanating from inside.
He frowned and pulled Ruan Tang further behind him, his tall figure like a mountain, completely blocking her view.
"Don't rush, the air inside is polluted and filled with miasma."
After saying that, he had a thought, and a fist-sized silver metal ball appeared out of thin air in his palm. Its surface was covered with complex and intricate patterns, like a work of art from the future.
He didn't even look at it, and casually flicked his wrist.
The metal ball then transformed into a silent streak of silver light and was precisely cast into the depths of the cave.
With a muffled "thud," it sounded like it had fallen into water.
Immediately afterwards, the outer shell of the metal sphere cracked, and a halo of eerie blue light shone from its core, emanating an invisible and powerful suction force.
The murky, decaying air inside the cave seemed to be grabbed by an invisible giant hand, surging wildly and twisting towards the blue light, only to be completely swallowed up.
The whole process was eerily quiet.
A few minutes later, the pale blue halo gradually turned into a soft, safe green.
Yan Yu then pulled Ruan Tang along and waited outside the cave for another ten minutes or so to make sure there was no more strange smell inside before he took her hand tightly and strode inside.
The cave was more spacious than I had imagined, enough for three people to walk side by side.
The passage slopes downwards, and after walking about twenty or thirty meters, neat chisel marks can be seen on the stone wall, clearly indicating that it was carved by man.
But the further you go in, the fewer traces of human intervention there are, and the stone walls become rough and primitive.
Finally, the two entered a huge natural cave.
Yan Yu held Ruan Tang tightly with one hand, and with the other hand he held a flashlight, the bright beam of light warily sweeping over every corner of the surroundings.
“This cave is quite old. Judging from the degree of weathering of the stone walls, it is at least a hundred years old. It was definitely not dug in the last few decades.”
The cave was empty, but there were many neat square marks on the ground, as if many large boxes had been placed here for many years.
On the ground, there are still some deep ruts left by heavy objects being dragged.
Yan Yu squatted down, his well-defined fingers rubbing against the marks, and made his judgment.
"Everything was looted before the founding of the People's Republic of China." (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
