Chapter 39 Choosing a Ring (2/2)

Gold, platinum, rose gold, Hetian jade, mutton fat jade, jadeite, set with diamonds of varying sizes, inlaid with sapphires, rubies, emeralds, pink diamonds, pigeon eggs; all sorts of colored gemstones she couldn't name...

A dazzling array of goods, everything imaginable.

Ruan Tang hesitated. So many... all storage rings? This guy is too rich.

Just as she was about to ask, Yan Yu's voice rang out again, carrying a hint of barely perceptible tension and anticipation.

"You choose one you like, and then... choose one for me too. As our engagement rings."

Engagement ring?

Ruan Tang's cheeks burned uncontrollably again.

Luckily, I didn't ask, or I would have made a fool of myself.

She lowered her head, her gaze sweeping over the glittering rings, momentarily at a loss for words.

They were all very beautiful, but she didn't really feel anything special about them.

Back in the sect, it was always the senior sisters who loved beauty who dragged her to dress up, or her master and senior brothers who would gather all sorts of magical artifacts and jewelry for her. As for herself, apart from being interested in all sorts of strange puppets and magical artifacts, the place where she spent the most spirit stones was on "eating".

Seeing the little girl frowning and looking troubled, Yan Yu assumed that he hadn't prepared enough styles.

He thought for a moment, then suddenly had an idea and suggested, "Tangtang, how about... you put all the containers here into your space? That way you can take whatever you like to eat or wear whenever you want."

Ruan Tang was so shocked by the man's words that she took a small step back, her almond-shaped eyes widening in disbelief.

She shook her head vigorously, waving her hands repeatedly, "No, no! This will exhaust me! You keep it for yourself! Just get me whatever I want!"

Are you kidding me!

The reason she went to such lengths to create so many puppets was so that she could comfortably be a hands-off manager and not have to do anything herself.

This guy actually wants to stuff tens of thousands of metal lumps into her spatial storage and make her rummage through them herself? That's practically killing her! Absolutely not!

Seeing the little girl's horrified expression, Yan Yu immediately gave up on his idea.

Thinking about it carefully, it makes sense. There are too many things, and it would be too much trouble for her to find them one by one.

Let him do it. In the future, whatever his little girl wants, he will personally find it for her and deliver it to her. It would be best if he could even wear it himself, hehe.

Seeing the man reveal a lecherous smile and stop asking her to pack her things, Ruan Tang breathed a sigh of relief.

She watched Yan Yu happily lower his head to carefully select a ring, but her eyes darted around, her mind already wandering to the domineering king crabs on the beach.

She leaned closer and said in a soft voice, "Yan Yu, about the ring... how about we don't pick one out yet? We can't wear it out in the current situation."

"We'll come back to choose when we're old enough to wear them, and then we can switch them up every day!"

Most importantly, she was craving that king crab! She'd never had it before in her life!

Yan Yu had no idea what his little girl was thinking. Only after hearing her say that did he belatedly realize that he had indeed gotten too excited.

We've forgotten the present era and the next decade.

He scratched his head in frustration, looked up at Ruan Tang, and saw her gazing longingly towards the sea, a glistening tear on her lips.

Yan Yu: "..."

He suddenly felt that all the priceless jewels he had meticulously prepared seemed... less valuable than a few crabs crawling sideways on the beach. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
