Chapter 21 The treasure trove in the cellar has vanished! Shu Ying is devastated (2/2)

This place looks pretty much like the one marked on the map; it seems this must be it.

Shu Ying walked along, looking at the tombstones.

A vast expanse, both desolate and somewhat magnificent.

Finding the treasure is the priority now. Find it first and store it in your space to avoid any unforeseen complications.

However, she also bought some incense and paper money on her way here. After all, she had disturbed her ancestors by digging for things at their burial place, so she had to apologize.

After she finishes digging, she will properly worship her ancestors.

Shu Ying first consulted the map and followed it all the way to the innermost tomb.

The tombstone was only half intact, with the upper part badly damaged.

Shu Ying wasn't surprised. She guessed it was because it was so old, probably the tombstone of some great-grandfather, so it was normal for it to be a bit damaged.

Shu Ying didn't think too much about it. She went around to the back, took out the map again, and wanted to see if there were any markings indicating the exact location of the burial site.

As she was watching, Shu Ying took a step back, her foot sinking into the ground, and she suddenly swayed.

The soil beneath my feet was noticeably softer than the surrounding area; as soon as I stepped on it, I sank quite a bit.

Shu Ying frowned and quickly bent down to check the situation.

Grab a handful of soil, rub it between your fingers, and your fingertips will be damp.

The soil around the grave was a darker color than the soil further away, suggesting that it had been disturbed.

Shu Ying's heart tightened, and she immediately sensed something was wrong.

Could someone have already come and dug it up?

Shu Ying quickly circled the grave mound and looked around.

Upon closer inspection, I was suddenly startled.

Behind the high mound of earth, there are two round holes about the width of a hand, and next to them is a pile of fresh soil.

This is clearly a tomb raider's hole. Judging from its shape, it was probably made by a Luoyang shovel used to probe the interior of the tomb.

Shu Ying stepped forward and stomped on the hole, causing the area around the opening to collapse rapidly.

Shu Ying's heart raced instantly, and she frowned as she quickly lifted the bricks and stones on the grave mound.

As expected, she saw a circular opening with a wider diameter.

This is the opening left after the Luoyang shovel was used to explore the underground area and retrieve items from the tomb.

Shu Ying panicked even more and quickly took out a flashlight from her spatial storage and peered into the cave entrance—

It was built like a cellar, both wide and deep.

The cellar was now completely empty, with many compacted shape marks left on the walls.

These marks allow us to roughly count how many boxes were once piled up here.

Looking further inside, even the coffins inside had been pried open.

If there were anything inside, it has probably already been taken.

The entire cellar was filled with all of this stuff, and it's all gone...

Shu Ying was completely stunned, and a huge feeling of heartache welled up inside her.

Anger, sadness, helplessness... all sorts of emotions intertwined in her mind, and Shu Ying completely broke down.

She gritted her teeth and stomped her foot hard.

She didn't dare to delay for a moment. As soon as she discovered the clue, she rushed over without stopping, full of hope that she could collect all the things left by her grandfather and ancestors.

Unexpectedly, it was still too late.

This entire cellar was filled with stuff, and it was all stolen!
