Shu Jie was dumbfounded, and his words were somewhat incoherent: "You, what do you want to do? We, we just want to go out and take care of some things. Where are my parents?"
He glanced back nervously; none of his family members had come.
Shu Ying, however, proceeded cautiously: "What business are you going out to run that requires so much stuff? You've taken half of everything from my house, cousin. You can't be this heartless, can you? Besides, my son is still in your hands. Where are you going to run off to with him?"
Although Shu Ying's words were gentle, Shu Jie could still detect a hint of warning in them.
As Shu Ying approached, he straightened his back. How could he, a grown man, be subdued by Shu Ying, who was weak and helpless?
"Shuying, what exactly did you do to my parents? We haven't even had a chance to tell you yet, and now you're already here, and the ship is about to leave! Let's not delay any longer. Hurry up and pick up my parents. With these things, we can live a good life anywhere else. We'll still be living a life of luxury. Isn't that better?"
Shu Ying sneered as she dragged the iron rod in her hand.
Shu Jie swallowed hard; it seemed there was no room for negotiation.
That brat is now so calm she looks like she's about to kill someone. This is the calm before the storm; playing dumb to take advantage of others has always been her specialty.
A wise man doesn't fight a losing battle, so Shu Jie turned around and tried to run away.
But Shu Ying beat him to it; she picked up the stick in her hand and knocked him to the ground with a single blow.
Shu Jie's eyes showed fear: "What do you want to do? I'm your brother! If you beat me to death today, you'll go to jail too. The police will be here soon. Don't be impulsive."
The iron rod in Shu Ying's hand was quite heavy; if it were to fall on his head, his head would explode like fireworks.
Shu Jie was hit on the leg with the first blow, and he crawled around on the boat crying. Shu Ying just smiled sinisterly.
"Don't worry, cousin. How could I let your blood get on my hands? My son has been sleeping for so long. I just wanted you to get some sleep too. You've been planning your escape these past few days and haven't had much rest, have you? Look at the dark circles under your eyes. Tsk tsk, it's hard to tell how good-looking you are."
Shu Ying switched to a different wooden stick, weighing it in her hand every now and then, which made Shu Jie panic.
Under her terrified gaze, Shu Ying struck him hard, and Shu Jie scrambled to escape on the boat.
“I warned you long ago not to have any useless thoughts, and especially not to touch my child, but you just wouldn’t listen. Cousin, if I don’t teach you a lesson today, what will happen if you have other ideas next time?”
Shu Ying slammed the wooden stick down on him, and all that could be heard on the boat was Shu Jie's heart-wrenching screams.
He tried to explain several times, but Shu Ying didn't give him a chance at all. After seven or eight blows, Shu Jie struggled to lift his head, but by some twist of fate, he met the wooden stick in Shu Ying's hand.
He felt a dizziness at the back of his head, a flash of surprise before his eyes, and he shakily stretched out a hand. Then his head tilted to the side, and he passed out.
Shu Ying struck him with her last blow, breaking his manhood, before coldly throwing down the stick: "I thought you were so capable, but it turns out you're nothing special. You couldn't even withstand these two blows. How dare you touch my child?"
Shu Ying showed no mercy. His valuable coat was stripped off, and the money in his pockets was put into his spatial storage. His leather shoes were of good quality, and although they were not very useful, they couldn't be taken from him either.
Fearing he might still be hiding money, she also stored all the boxes that were already stacked on the boat into her spatial storage.
"Shu Jie, you must accept this big gift I'm giving you after you wake up."
If they dare to openly make their moves on her, they shouldn't blame her for showing no mercy.
Shu Ying put away everything related to the Shu family, pausing when only a few boxes remained.
