The children had already been sent to kindergarten. On the way home from grocery shopping, Huang Meiling and Song Zhaodi were so affectionate that they realized something was wrong.
Liu Xiulan had a basket slung over her arm. She had just bought vegetables at the market and saw Huang Meiling as soon as she came out.
She greeted them from afar without giving it much thought, until Zhang Hongxia caught up from behind. Looking at the figures walking in front of her, she lowered her voice and moved closer to Liu Xiulan.
"Hey, have you noticed that Chief Xie's wife's cousin looks a lot like Teacher Huang? When they walk together, they look like a mother and daughter. If people outside didn't know, they would definitely misunderstand. If you look at their backs, you can't tell who is who."
Liu Xiulan hadn't noticed until someone pointed it out, but now that someone had pointed it out, she realized it really did look very similar.
"That's true. No wonder I felt that Comrade Song Zhaodi looked familiar when I first met her. Teacher Huang is not usually at home. If I didn't often interact with them, I really wouldn't have thought of her. It's true that the family is destined to be together. Even if they are not related by blood, they look similar."
Along the way, many people looked over. Huang Meiling simply greeted them politely but didn't say anything else. No one knew exactly what they were doing. Seeing Song Zhaodi carrying groceries, they just assumed they had gone for a stroll.
As Zhang Hongxia spoke, she had already reached her own door. She took out her house key from a crack in the stone, unlocked the door, pushed it open, and went inside, talking to Liu Xiulan through the wall.
"I don't think that's the case."
She clearly had a hidden meaning in her words, but she only hinted at it.
Liu Xiulan brought a stool from her yard and asked, "Don't you think Comrade Song Zhaodi looks quite a bit like Chief Xie?"
She had this question for a long time; Xie Zhiyan and Song Zhaodi had very similar bone structure.
Although the two people are of different genders, their facial features are quite similar.

When Xie Zhiyan took the children to school that morning, she said she was just coming back to see them, and no one suspected anything. After all, before Shu Ying came here, no one knew that they already had a child.
It's understandable that grandparents are worried about it.
Even if you miss someone, it's not worth rushing over late at night only to leave again after just one day.
There must be other things involved here.
Liu Xiulan had a general idea of what was going on, but she still found it somewhat unbelievable.
