If someone with this map comes looking for their own family, they'll see the Du family's names on the tombstone and know it's not where their family buried their treasure, so they'll definitely continue searching nearby.
If it were an outsider, seeing such a luxuriously constructed tombstone, they would definitely assume that this is the place marked on the map, start digging directly, and wouldn't suspect anything else after digging.
This is using the Du family's ancestral graves to build a shield for the Shu family!
Shu Ying wanted to give her grandfather a thumbs up.
This move to shift the blame eastward is brilliant, truly brilliant, worthy of Grandpa!
Shu Ying put the map away and, based on her assessment of the surrounding terrain and her understanding of her grandfather, immediately began a thorough search of the vicinity, centered on the Du family ancestral graves.
Following Grandpa's usual line of thinking, since the tombstone was to be hidden, it certainly wouldn't be displayed in the open just in case.
So……
Suddenly, Shu Ying saw a small hill.
At the bottom of the hillside, the waist-high weeds grew exceptionally lush.
As we got closer, we discovered a large rock on the hillside with a mark that Grandpa often used.
Only the Shu family recognizes this mark.
Why did Grandpa carve the mark here?
Shu Ying suddenly had an idea.
Could there be a cave here?
Shu Ying immediately stepped forward and examined the cave.
There really is one! Looks like this is the place!
The heavy-handed food was hidden behind the dense weeds.
Shu Ying was overjoyed and immediately pushed aside the weeds to go inside, taking out a flashlight from her spatial storage as she went in.
Entering the cave was easy, but standing there and feeling the chill seeping from the depths of the cave, Shu Ying felt goosebumps rising all over her body, and the stories she had heard as a child kept flashing through her mind.
This cave is so eerie, it's hard not to feel scared...
Shu Ying swallowed hard, reassuring herself that her grandfather wouldn't harm her, and bravely walked inside.
The cave was quite deep. Shu Ying walked a few dozen steps into it and saw three branching entrances ahead.
Shu Ying was unsure which one to choose, so she looked around and found her grandfather's mark on the rock above her head once again.
The mark appears to be unrelated to the three holes, but its shape has changed slightly.
The longest point of the triangle points to the right, clearly pointing towards the rightmost opening.
Shu Ying took a deep breath, gripped the flashlight tightly, and walked inside again.
After walking a few steps, I indeed saw the ancestral graves buried there.
Because it was a cave, it was impossible to bury them underground. The coffins were specially treated and moisture-proofed with special materials. Each coffin was completely wrapped in a glass cover and neatly arranged there.
Outside each glass enclosure hangs a plaque with the ancestor's birth and death dates and name, serving as a tombstone.
Turning the wooden sign over, upon closer inspection, one could see that it was covered with tiny, closely spaced characters, clearly in the grandfather's handwriting.
[If any descendants of the Shu family are fortunate enough to find this place, be sure to hide the items stored here safely. If you have the means, rebury the ancestral coffins in a safe location. If you do not have the means, then preserve yourselves.]
After reading the last four words, "preserve yourself," Shu Ying felt an indescribable sense of emotion.
That's how my grandfather was; he lived his whole life with clarity and understanding, and he treats his descendants the same way.
Shu Ying sighed, took out incense, candles and paper money from her spatial storage, bowed to the coffins of her ancestors, and then went around to the back to find the location of the treasure her grandfather had mentioned.
But the surrounding area is all stone walls; it doesn't seem like there's anywhere to put anything...
Shu Ying turned her head and searched around, pressing on the stone wall, but found no mechanism or trace of a stone door.
