Wu Xiufen reacted quickly, blocking Sang Feiyu's path, holding Zeng Huayan down, and helping her pat her back.
"Don't be angry, let's talk things out."
"We're all here today to support you."
Gao Jinfeng and He Meiling stared at Zeng Huayan's pale face, and began to believe what Sang Feiyu had said before that she was sick.
"Wife, what do you think I said is wrong? Correct me, and I won't say it again," Company Commander Liu asked hurriedly.
It took Zeng Huayan a while to calm down. "You actually said I was being unreasonable? In your eyes, is everything I do wrong?"
No, that's not what I meant.
Company Commander Liu racked his brains but couldn't figure out what to say next. He only wished he had a mouth that could speak.
"Comrade Zeng, when Company Commander Liu doesn't understand you, you can be more specific to him. For example, if you want him to spend more time with you, just say so directly. If you need his help with something, just say it directly. Don't make him guess, and don't get angry directly. That won't work on him because he hasn't received your message correctly."
"To be honest, even though you are husband and wife, he can't read your mind. It's very difficult for him to immediately understand what you're trying to express or the reason for your emotional outburst."
“Even your parents might not be able to do these things, so you can’t have such high expectations of your partner.”
When Sang Feiyu said these words, Company Commander Liu almost nodded his head off, because every word he said hit the nail on the head!
Zeng Huayan seemed to still be pondering Sang Feiyu's words, and had not come back to her senses for a long time.
"Comrade Zeng, we'll go back to work first and come see you another day when we have time."
"Take care of yourself. If there's anything, be sure to talk to Company Commander Liu directly. Don't keep it to yourself."
Zeng Huayan didn't say anything, so Company Commander Liu could only send Sang Feiyu and the others out first.
After they left the military hospital, they let out a heavy sigh. It hadn't been easy for either of them.
Zeng Huayan felt very wronged, always feeling that her man didn't understand her and that every time she expressed herself, she was just expressing her emotions. This made Company Commander Liu even more confused about what she wanted to express, so Company Commander Liu himself felt very wronged.
“Xiaoyu said Zeng Huayan was sick before, but I didn’t believe her. After seeing her at the hospital today, she definitely looks sick,” Gao Jinfeng said.
He Meiling chimed in, "Her emotions seem out of control, like they're about to explode at any moment."
“She’s quite pitiful, and I hope she can receive the right treatment,” Wu Xiufen said.
What they didn't know was that the organization was already aware of Zeng Huayan's situation and would be arranging for a psychotherapist to follow up on the matter further.
These are all things that will happen later.
Sang Feiyu, Gao Jinfeng, and He Meiling, who were traveling together, parted ways with Wu Xiufen at the fork in the road ahead.
The three of them had relatively easy jobs. The way back to the archives was only a few minutes, but they took more than ten minutes. Anyone who didn't know them would think they were taking a walk after lunch.
When the three of them got together, they mostly talked about each other's family matters.
People usually talk about He Meiling and Gao Jinfeng's family affairs, but rarely mention Sang Feiyu's family affairs. Today, He Meiling asked out of curiosity, "Xiaoyu, after you have your postpartum confinement, will your mother-in-law come to the family compound to take care of you?"
"No, my maternal grandmother will be coming over then, and my mother-in-law won't have retired yet."
Sang Feiyu didn't want people to portray her mother-in-law negatively, so she quickly added, "Although my mother-in-law didn't come, she mailed me a lot of things and gave me a lot of money."
Gao Jinfeng and He Meiling were focused on the phrase "a lot of money." How much money is "a lot of money"?
