"Perhaps he didn't expect Sang Feiyu to be so tough."
Sang Feiyu silently rolled her eyes. She hadn't expected to hear gossip about herself.
"Lin Qingqing is just stupid, and Sang Feiyu's toughness is something that has been around for a long time."
"How many people in our residential compound have fallen victim to her?"
“If we see Sang Feiyu, we will stay far away from her, for fear of being extorted by her if we pass by.”
"If a dog barks once as it walks by, she'll complain to the military about it!"
Sang Feiyu: ...
That's an exaggeration.
He Meiling and Gao Jinfeng looked at the sky and the ground but dared not look at Sang Feiyu, for fear they would burst out laughing.
Sang Feiyu coughed lightly, and the people who had been talking badly about her turned around abruptly. When they saw that it was her, their faces looked as if they had seen a ghost.
"Comrade Sang... what are you doing here?"
It's true what they say: don't talk about people during the day, and don't talk about ghosts at night!
Seeing their reaction, Sang Feiyu wondered if she was really that scary.
She seemed to remember something, put on a serious face, and asked in a solemn tone, "You're talking badly about me in front of me, aren't you afraid I'll report you to higher authorities?"
"Isn't it said that if a dog walks by and barks once, I'll file a complaint?"
The group exchanged bewildered glances, but a young woman was the first to react, giving an embarrassed smile. "How could that be? Comrade Sang is the most tolerant and generous person I've ever met."
Sang Feiyu's face was tense. "If I heard correctly, the person who just said that I would complain if a dog barked once as it walked by me is you, right?"
These words left the young woman speechless.
“I see you all have quite a misunderstanding about me. In the future, if there’s anything, just say it to my face. I don’t want to hear people talking badly about me behind my back.”
"And please don't try to understand me through other people's hearsay."
"Yes, yes," the group nodded repeatedly, trying to ingratiate themselves.
Sang Feiyu was no longer in the mood for a walk. She turned to He Meiling and Gao Jinfeng and said, "Let's go back and rest first."
After watching Sang Feiyu and the others walk away, the others secretly breathed a sigh of relief. "That scared me to death."
"Me too."
"Sang Feiyu's face looks terrifying; it's like her eyes could eat people alive."
"Alright, all of you, keep your voices down, or someone will hear you again."
He Meiling, who was walking ahead, couldn't help but laugh when she heard their conversation. "Xiao Yu, you're really amazing. They're all afraid of you."
Sang Feiyu disagreed with her, saying, "If they were really afraid of me, they wouldn't keep gossiping about me behind my back."
"That's true."
Aside from the brief midday walk, Sang Feiyu spent the rest of the day slacking off; this class is just too much fun.
As soon as the bell rang to signal the end of the workday, Sang Feiyu rushed back home, eager to see her daughter.
He Meiling and Gao Jinfeng had just given birth and were in the same situation.
But now that the children have grown up and become mischievous, they now take their time going home after get off work.
I'd rather be quieter for a while.
"Grandma, Grandpa, Little Domi, I'm off work!" Sang Feiyu said cheerfully.
As soon as she entered the house, she saw two bottles of baijiu (Chinese liquor) on the living room table. These two bottles clearly didn't belong to their family.
