Chapter 52 Why Not Be a Little Braver, Even Braver (1/2)

Sang Feiyu placed the premarital medical examination report on the table and slowly began to speak, "This report details Zhiyuan's medical condition."

"Zhiyuan himself wrote that he did not feel any discomfort in his heart during this period."

She paused, then continued, “And Dr. Jiang’s assessment stated that the heart disease was worsening, which is usually accompanied by varying degrees of pain. Some patients may even experience pain that affects their sleep and require sedatives to help them sleep.”

"He also wrote that Zhiyuan's case was rather special. The patient had no discomfort, but the results of two examinations showed that his heart disease was worsening, and further observation was needed to determine the cause of the deterioration."

Ning Zhiyuan was so surprised that his mouth could fit an egg. Sang Feiyu had only read the test report once, yet she could remember so much information?

Commander Qin had already silently taken out the inspection report from the file and started to read it carefully. It must be said that Sang Feiyu had a very good memory, and the description in the report was not much different from the actual situation.

An admiring glint flashed in his eyes as he looked up at the other person. "What are your thoughts on this?"

Sang Feiyu stated unequivocally, "I strongly suspect that someone poisoned Zhiyuan."

Upon hearing this, both Commander Qin and Ning Zhiyuan were shocked.

Division Commander Qin coughed lightly, "Comrade Sang, do you have any evidence to support your claim?"

Sang Feiyu said matter-of-factly, "It is precisely because I have no evidence that I need the organization's assistance."

Commander Qin's expression softened somewhat. "How do you want the organization to assist you?"

"I've thought about it. There are two main ways to administer poison: one is through ingestion, and the other is through inhalation."

"Therefore, we can start with Zhiyuan's usual diet and living environment..."

After listening, Commander Qin couldn't help but nod, "Do as you say, and leave the rest to me."

Sang Feiyu quickly said, "We'll need your help communicating and assisting with the military hospital."

"No problem," Commander Qin readily agreed.

After finishing their business, Sang Feiyu showed no sign of leaving.

Division Commander Qin asked curiously, "Is there anything else?"

"Yes."

"Commander, I want to get a marriage certificate with Zhiyuan," Sang Feiyu said with a strong voice.

She really is a businessman's daughter!

After winding and turning along the mountain road, she finally arrived at her true destination.

Commander Qin glanced subconsciously at Ning Zhiyuan's flushed face and thought to himself that he was really not as open and generous as Comrade Sang.

He was growing to appreciate Sang Feiyu more and more.

"Your situation is not suitable for marriage unless you can give me a suitable reason."

Sang Feiyu replied without hesitation, "The toxins in Zhiyuan's body are very peculiar; they can kill without leaving a trace. He doesn't itch or feel pain, and there are no other discomforts, but the test results show that his condition has worsened."

"I don't think the person who poisoned the victim necessarily believed 100% that the poison would be effective."

"If Zhiyuan and I have a premarital checkup but don't get a marriage certificate, wouldn't that be telling the other person that Zhiyuan has a health problem?"

"It's a certainty that Zhiyuan is in trouble. The other party may not continue to risk poisoning people in the future."

She then changed the subject, "But if Zhiyuan and I successfully get our marriage certificate after the premarital checkup, won't the other party start to doubt the effectiveness of those drugs?"

"He will definitely continue to poison people in order to achieve his goal."

Commander Qin had to admit one thing: he had been persuaded by Sang Feiyu.

But marriage is a big deal, and he couldn't ruin the young woman's life.

So he decided to think it over carefully and give them both an answer tomorrow.

After Ning Zhiyuan and Sang Feiyu left, Commander Qin immediately called Elder Jiang, "Elder Jiang, are you free now? I have something urgent to discuss with you."

After hanging up the phone, Jiang Lao went straight to the division commander's office.

"What's wrong?"
