Chapter 103 Another Visit to the Forest Farm

Lin Ying searched all the rooms on the first floor but couldn't find the study. She then turned her attention to the stairwell.

Since it's not on the first floor, it must be on the second floor.

If the first floor is rows of medicine cabinets, then the second floor is rows of bookshelves. The space where the pharmacy was on the first floor has become the study on the second floor. This time, it's not divided into two rooms, but rather one whole room.

The desk is near the entrance. Inside, there's a coffee table with a tea set on it.

Out of curiosity, Lin Ying went up to the third floor.

The third floor, which is also the top floor, is entirely private space. It includes bedrooms, a living room, and even the bathroom that Lin Ying had wanted to renovate.

The key point is that there's a tap in the bathtub that's constantly gushing hot water. However, the water isn't overflowing; instead, it's flowing out from the drainpipe next to it.

After leaving the bathroom, Lin Ying returned to the second floor and carefully examined the bookshelf layout. She was surprised to discover that the rows of bookshelves were arranged chronologically from back to front.

It contains not only the writings of famous ancient doctors, but also numerous case studies on pulse diagnosis.

From oracle bone script to bamboo slips, and then to paper books.

Each one is so precious.

Lin Ying found it hard to imagine how such books were collected.

Perhaps because she was too shocked, Lin Ying didn't dare to touch the books. Instead, she first observed the situation outside and calmed herself down before looking for the books she needed.

Lin Ying went downstairs and went directly to the backyard through the back door. What she saw was a space divided in two. A path bisected the entire backyard.

To the left was a steaming hot spring, and Lin Ying saw the water pipe that carried the water up to the third floor. Clearly, the hot water in the bathroom came from here.

The spring water flowing down from the third floor will flow directly into the stream in front, and then from the stream into the field on the left.

To the right is a spring of cool water that keeps gushing out.

The spring water flows out along a stone-paved irrigation canal, where it merges with a small stream. The stream then flows into the fields to the right of the road.

The first field corresponding to the springs on both sides used to be a pond.

Two kinds of lotus flowers, red and white, are blooming in the pools on both sides.

As Lin Ying walked further, she saw various medicinal herbs planted in the medicinal fields. Only then did she remember that the medicinal seeds that used to be stored in her spatial medicine cabinet had disappeared, replaced by these already planted medicinal fields.

The most jarring thing was that piece of ginseng that looked so precious, yet now seemed almost worthless.

Lin Ying even suspected that the space didn't like the ginseng she put in, which was why it angrily upgraded its own production?

Lin Ying herself found the idea laughable.

But no matter what, these two fields have truly taken root in Lin Ying's heart.

The herbs closer to the front are the most precious; further back are the more commonly used herbs. Lin Ying looked at the mature herbs, and since the area wasn't large, she could harvest them all in no time. The quantity would only fill one medicine cabinet.

She specifically kept a few for seed. Looking at the harvested medicinal herb field, Lin Ying thought for a moment and decided to tidy it up. That way, after a while, this place would be full of these kinds of herbs again.

Lin Ying originally planned to read a book today, but ended up spending the whole day busy in the medicinal herb field in her space.

Some things need to be dried, some need to be baked, and some that need fermentation can only be processed tomorrow.

By the time they finished all that, it was already dark. Lin Ying decided to leave the rest for the next day.

Early the next morning, Lin Ying returned to the space to continue what she hadn't finished. You see, the medicinal fields in the space now stretched as far as the eye could see. Each small plot was of a different species.

This field, from front to back, looks to have at least five hundred plots.

Lin Ying originally thought she would need to collect good wines to fill the medicine cabinet, but now it seems that it won't be long before the medicine cabinet is full.

Unfortunately, each medicinal herb field now has its own specific medicinal herbs for cultivation. The place where Lin Ying originally grew grains and vegetables is no longer there.

Just as Lin Ying was considering whether to control food supplies in the future, she had already collected all the medicinal herbs.

Lin Ying also saw that behind the medicinal herb field were the grains she had been longing for.

However, apart from the wheat and rice fields, the other fields were all empty. Clearly, apart from the medicinal herbs, everything else in this space was secondary.

Lin Ying didn't mind and spent another two days harvesting the crops in those two fields. Then she replanted grain.

This small harvest is enough for her to eat for a long time.

Now, Lin Ying understands that the growth of this plant depends entirely on the two springs at the entrance.

On the left is a hot spring, where plants grown there are either warming or neutral medicinal herbs. On the right is a regular medicinal herb field, where plants grown further forward are more cooling in nature.

Therefore, these two large fields do not need fertilizer at all; everything depends on these two springs.

After spending another two days planting the vegetables she liked, Lin Ying planned to plant a few fruit trees in the open space so that she wouldn't have to worry about the sunlight blocking the courtyard after planting fruit in the space.

Unbeknownst to her, Lin Ying had been busy in the space for more than half a month.

Every day, she sets aside two hours to collect medicinal herbs. Then she prepares them and puts them in the cabinet.

The rest of the time, she stayed in the study.

After five or six days of searching, Lin Ying finally found information about the life-saving pills.

This is much more detailed than what we've seen before.

With the addition of medicinal herbs supplied by the space, Lin Ying studied prescriptions in the space every day.
