Chapter 2 Memories

At first, Lin Ying did not realize that she was a supporting female character in the book. She thought she was dreaming about the day her father took her jade pendant.

However, what happened next was something she had never seen before. For example, after Lin Rong got the jade pendant and returned home, she cruelly stabbed herself in the chest with a knife.

Miraculously, Lin Ying did not see Lin Rong die. Instead, she saw Lin Rong place the jade pendant on her chest. After the jade pendant emitted a bright light, the wound on Lin Rong's chest actually healed.

Then Lin Rong appeared in a strange place, looking very happy.

Lin Ying learned from Lin Rong that it was a place called the Medical Space.

When Lin Ying watched Lin Rong use the spiritual spring water in her space to heal people, even those with all sorts of difficult and complicated illnesses, Lin Ying finally understood what was going on.

At that moment, Lin Ying felt that the world was full of hostility towards her.

Just as Lin Ying subconsciously tried to dodge, the golden light reappeared, and Lin Ying finally saw clearly that the "golden brick" was not a gold brick at all, but a book.

Each image was transformed into text and appeared on the pages of the book.

For reasons unknown, Lin Ying finished reading the entire story. At that moment, she clearly realized that she was nothing more than a supporting female character in a novel.

Lin Rong, her half-sister, is the female protagonist of this novel.

Ironically, this novel was originally a spin-off of a story featuring her as the female lead. In other words, the novel was supposed to be about her, but because a woman who knew the story's plot transmigrated into Lin Rong's body, learned the direction of the story, and stole her opportunities and the story of her fiancé.

The reason Lin Ying knows all this now is because her story in the novel has ended.

Yes, in the novel, she is dead, killed by poison she drank herself.

But now, it seems she's not dead. Perhaps it's a little rebelliousness within her, but this time, Lin Ying doesn't want to die.

However, just as Lin Ying was about to struggle to get up again, the book suddenly disappeared from her mind, and then, inexplicably, another person's memories appeared in her mind.

Memories of a woman named Moko.

Lin Ying has a very good memory; otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to recite the medical books collected at home so fluently from childhood.

She remembered that the author of the story written on that "gold brick" was Mo Zi.

So, is this the world's compensation to her because her novel changed her life, and now, is it in exchange for her memories?

Lin Ying felt it was ironic, but also a sense of powerlessness, as if she couldn't fight against the world.

The youngest daughter has many memories, encompassing her entire life.

Mo Zi was once a novelist, and the fictional world Lin Ying exists in is from one of Mo Zi's early works. However, she was not happy as a novelist; on the contrary, as she got older, her stories became outdated, and the pressure increased.

Just before Mo Zi was about to go crazy, she made a decision: to leave the world of novels and embark on a solo journey through the wilderness.

Mo Zi wasn't afraid of the wilderness because she had a secret, a secret only she knew. She possessed natural strength, and with some martial arts training, she could crush any wild animal or person with impure thoughts under her fists.

The youngest son lived a nomadic life for most of his life until he was diagnosed with cancer.

Knowing she didn't have long to live, Mo Zi returned home. In her final moments, she clutched the very novel she had written. That novel, which Mo Zi herself hadn't even considered promising, was the place where her dreams had begun, the place where she had once simply loved writing novels.

"If you don't wake up, I won't say another word about your grandfather in the future."

The cool voice instantly brought Lin Ying's soul back to its place, and her eyes, which had been struggling to open, finally opened this time.
