Chapter 204 The Treasure Was Found!

This person was none other than Lin Ying's father, Lin Huaiyu!

Looking at the injuries on Lin Huaiyu's face and her thin figure, Lin Ying was filled with disbelief and her heart was filled with complex emotions.

In Lin Ying's memory, her father, aside from always being cold and harsh to her, always appeared aloof and arrogant in public. He had the right to be so, because the Lin family had given him enough courage.

But she remembered that even when she and her grandfather had their accidents, the Lin family was fine. Why was he in such a sorry state?

Lin Ying hates him, but that doesn't mean she's willing to watch him become like this.

However, although she had mixed feelings, she wouldn't lose her mind for him. For example, right now, she knew what she needed to do first.

Tiger finally got fed up with her taking too long to climb the stairs, so he squatted down and let her sit on his back.

Tiger is now an adult tiger, and with the water from the space he drinks every day, even with all four of his legs on the ground, his head can reach Lin Ying's chest. He also weighs around 500 pounds, so lifting Lin Ying is no problem at all.

With Tiger as her mount, Lin Ying quickly returned to the living cave on the first floor.

This time, she no longer underestimated anything placed here: scissors, sewing kit, cutting knife, and a roll of black thread. Lin Ying put them all into her space.

To avoid missing out on anything good, she carefully checked each item one by one this time. After confirming that there was nothing else, Lin Ying exited the secret passage.

Upon arriving at the skeleton once again, Lin Ying found tools and began digging the grave.

She first laid out offerings, but dared not burn incense, fearing it would attract attention. Only after sincerely kneeling and praying did Lin Ying begin digging the grave.

That's right, the most likely place Lin Ying thought of to be where the treasure was kept was in the grave of the man's wife.

Of course, even if there were no treasures in the grave, Lin Ying would still dig it up and bury the two of them together.

Her original plan was to find Zhao Qinghuai and the others first, and then collect the bones to prevent them from being trampled by too many people. She planned to properly bury them after this matter was completely over.

Now, because she has a feeling that there is some treasure in this coffin, she has decided to bury the two of them together first and then look for other people.

Lin Ying wasn't worried at all about anyone coming here, because if they were going to come, they would have already done so, instead of wandering around outside for so long.

In particular, the two teams outside the military clearly had professionals among them, but they still couldn't get in.

Lin Ying quickly dug open the grave and then opened the heavy stone coffin.

Lin Ying stood before the open stone coffin, took a deep breath, and slowly bent down to look inside. An ancient, musty smell permeated the coffin—the scent of time. She carefully examined everything inside. There lay a complete skeleton, decayed, but as a doctor—though a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, Lin Ying had also taken Western medicine classes. She could naturally tell that the skull was truly beautiful.

The skeleton was dressed in a tattered garment; the fabric appeared to be of high quality, but the ravages of time had rendered it fragile. Lin Ying carefully removed the skeleton from the stone coffin and placed it on the ground beside it. She examined the skeleton meticulously, hoping to find some clues or hidden treasures.

Around the remains, Lin Ying found some scattered items: small metal ornaments, tattered pieces of cloth, and a few ancient coins. These items appeared ordinary, but they might hold special significance. Lin Ying collected them one by one and placed them in her spatial storage for future study.

Next, Lin Ying began cleaning the inside of the stone coffin. She noticed some recessed areas at the bottom of the coffin, seemingly used to store items. She gently touched these recessed areas and discovered tiny gaps inside. A thought struck Lin Ying: these gaps might be used to hide treasures.

She took out a small shovel from her spatial storage and carefully dug along the crack at the bottom of the stone coffin. As she dug deeper, the crack at the bottom of the coffin gradually widened, revealing a small hidden compartment. Lin Ying felt a surge of excitement. She carefully opened the compartment and saw an exquisite wooden box inside.

The wooden box was carved with exquisite patterns and looked very ancient. Lin Ying gently opened the box and saw a jade tortoise shell that shimmered with light.

After that, Lin Ying felt as if she was out of control, and reached out her hand towards the jade tortoise shell.

"Hiss!" The pain in her fingertip snapped her back to reality, and Lin Ying finally came to her senses. But the blood had already stained the entire turtle shell, and the next second, the shell disappeared.

Lin Ying was familiar with this scene, but what happened next almost made her lose weight and kiss the skeleton.

If you do that, she'll probably have her ancestors crawl up from the ground and demand that she bathe the skeletons.

However, she couldn't care less about any of that at the moment, because two opposing forces were clashing in her mind.

Lin Ying supported herself against the stone coffin and laboriously climbed out of it, then lay down directly on the ground.

Tiger paced anxiously in circles, but there was nothing he could do.

Lin Ying roughly guessed the reason.

But she was just an ordinary person; how could she possibly handle having things fighting in her head like that?

Lin Ying didn't expect that just as she was thinking this, the two orbs of light paused for a moment.

Lin Ying instantly grasped this point and began to think that if they continued fighting, she would die. She wondered if, after she died, she would "drop equipment" like in the games that Mo Zi remembered.

I wonder if the next person to come here will be a member of the Lin family. If not, will this space still be able to be opened?
