Chapter 9 Zhao Qinghuai is back

Lin Ying persisted: "It's the girl who brought you to my family's clinic last time."

Zhao Qinghuai understood: "She's not my childhood sweetheart, she's my comrade-in-arms, and besides, we have no relationship whatsoever. In addition, she got married last year."

Is that so? Lin Ying finally smiled, and then wrote on the paper: "From now on, we're legally married?"

Zhao Qinghuai corrected, "What do you mean by 'calculate'? We are, after all, the kind of people who are going to spend our lives together! I'm not kidding!"

Lin Ying's heartstrings were once again unsettled by Zhao Qinghuai's words, but she couldn't help feeling happy and excited inside.

She had once harbored feelings for Zhao Qinghuai, but at that time she had a fiancé, and she thought he had a childhood sweetheart.

She never expected that her fiancé would become someone else's, and that her childhood sweetheart would also get married.

Lin Ying still remembers how sweet the girl looked in front of her back then, but she never expected that she would be willing to marry someone else.

Seeing Lin Ying so happy, Zhao Qinghuai was also very pleased. The worry that Lin Ying would demand a divorce after finding out they were married finally subsided.

He even had some ulterior motives, wondering if Lin Ying's lack of anger meant that she didn't object to their marriage and might even like it.

God knows he hasn't dared to think about this for the past few days, and hasn't even dared to come back, fearing that when he returned, he would be met with the news that she wanted a divorce.

Lin Ying didn't know what Zhao Qinghuai was thinking, but she could tell he looked very tired, so she wrote in her notebook: "Go and rest, we can talk about it later."

Zhao Qinghuai was genuinely tired but didn't refuse: "I have a day off. When I wake up tomorrow, I'll borrow a carriage and take you to town. We can buy whatever we need for the family together then."

Lin Ying nodded in agreement.

Zhao Qinghuai finally felt relieved and went back to his room.

Seeing the house so clean and tidy, Zhao Qinghuai couldn't hide his burning desire for Lin Ying, who had originally slept on the kang (heated brick bed).

Fortunately, he was so tired that even his excitement was overcome by sleepiness.
