Zhou Yun looked up from the steering wheel, her eyes blurry with tears, at the people outside the car window.
A refined-looking man in a black shirt stood outside and gently knocked on her car window.
Zhou Yun slowly rolled down the car window, tears still clinging to her long eyelashes. She sniffed, looking somewhat impatient.
The man outside the car window watched Zhou Yun with great interest; it was the first time he had seen this woman so disheveled and helpless.
Zhou Yun rubbed her red and swollen eyes, and faced the person in front of her, she tried her best to control her tears.
He sniffed, his voice a little hoarse, "What are you going to do?"
"Amelia, long time no see." The man smiled, and the girl in front of him seemed both helpless and a little coquettish.
Zhou Yun was puzzled and paused for a long time before asking, "Eric?"
"Hmm..." the man named Eric replied lazily, "I didn't expect to run into you here." He then took out a handkerchief and handed it to Zhou Yun.
He glanced at the small villa behind him, then turned his meaningful gaze to her, "If you're unhappy about something, talk about it. Don't bottle it up."
Zhou Yun took the handkerchief from his hand, blinked, and gave a faint reply.
The man didn't say anything more, his dark gaze remaining fixed on Zhou Yun. "I'll be in Kyoto for a while. If you encounter anything unhappy, don't hide and cry by yourself. You have to talk about it."
“Hmm.” Zhou Yun stared at the handkerchief in her hand with a gold-stamped “m” printed on it.
...
After the incident where Feng Yunzhou broke into the school looking for Shi Wan, Lu Jingyan instructed Zhou Yuan to strengthen the school's security system.
On the first day of school, teachers from each class greeted students at the door, and Shi Wan, the homeroom teacher of the small class, was no exception.
Although Lu Jingyan tried to stop her again and again, he couldn't persuade Shi Wan to listen. She repeatedly assured Lu Jingyan that she would never act alone.
Lu Jingyan reluctantly agreed, but on the condition that he must stay by her side.
So on the first day of school, a magical scene appeared at the entrance of Sophie Kindergarten. The parents who came to drop off their children were mostly from Kyoto's upper class, and they were all astonished by what they saw at the entrance.
"Hey! Isn't that..." Someone looked at her husband in confusion, "Am I seeing things?"
The man, still engrossed in his work in the car, looked up impatiently. "Why don't you just have the nanny deliver it again? Don't you know I'm busy with work...?"
Before he could finish speaking, the man saw a familiar figure in the direction his wife was pointing. Somewhat incredulously, he put on his glasses and carefully examined the person at the school gate not far away.
After seeing each other clearly, the couple looked shocked.
The usually arrogant and aloof Lu Jingyan stood beside Teacher Shi, his face serene and indifferent, his starry eyes following Shi Wan the entire time.
The couple in the car weren't the only ones shocked.
Because it was the first day of school, many families personally brought their children to school to show how much they valued them.
As soon as they arrived at school, Lu Jingyan stood next to Shi Wan and obediently took the child from Shi Wan's arms, even gently coaxing the child.
They were all from the same circle. As a figure who could shake the entire country, Lu Jingyan was someone that all the major families tried to curry favor with.
How could such a man be working as a welcoming teacher at the entrance of one of the company's small kindergartens?
The parents of the crying child looked at Shi Wan with embarrassment and unease. "Teacher Shi, my child is spoiled at home. Please take good care of him."
Shi Wan nodded gently and tenderly took the little boy who was still snuggling in his mother's arms.
Shi Wan held the little boy in her arms and gently coaxed him. His emotions, which were about to calm down, started to flow with tears as he saw his mother about to leave. His pouting lips trembled.
Just as a crying scene was about to unfold, a pair of large hands reached out and took the little boy in Shi Wan's arms into their own.
The child, who was about to burst into tears, looked at the indifferent eyes above him through teary eyes when he saw his gentle and beautiful teacher, who had been holding him, turn into a stern-faced uncle.
“If you cry again, I’ll have that weirdo over there kidnap you. They love to eat children, especially those who cry a lot.” Lu Jingyan pointed to several bodyguards wearing sunglasses and black suits standing not far away.
The little boy glanced timidly at the expressionless man in black, and the tears that were about to fall were forced back down.
"Uncle, Uncle, hold me tighter, I won't cry, I won't cry, don't let the man-eating monster uncle catch me!" The little boy hugged Lu Jingyan's neck in a panic and buried his head on his shoulder.
"Ayan!" Shi Wan glared at Lu Jingyan, indicating that his student's parents were still there and he shouldn't make up stories to scare the child.
"No, no, it's Mr. Lu who has the best ideas. We can't handle this child at home. I didn't expect Mr. Lu to have such a way to coax the child." The little boy's father was the first to react and looked at Lu Jingyan with flattery.
At first, he just felt that the man in front of him looked familiar, but he couldn't remember who he was. After all, even wealthy families are divided into different classes.
They are at best middle-class, and basically have no chance of interacting with someone like Lu Jingyan, let alone talking to him.
Lu Jingyan glanced at the man in front of him and responded with a sound, but Shi Wan saw that Lu Jingyan not only showed no remorse, but became even more smug.
Shi Wan waved her hand helplessly and looked up to signal the crowd in front of her, "Hurry up, there are more and more people. Zhiyi is bringing Xiao Chuyuan over later, so please keep an eye on things for me."
"Okay!" After saying that, he led the child in his arms into the school and handed him over to the class teacher, then obediently stood back next to Shi Wan.
Lu Jingyan stared intently at Shi Wan's busy figure, his eyes filled with deep affection.
His Wanwan... must really like children?
Thinking of this, Lu Jingyan gently put his arm around Shi Wan's waist, leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Does Wanwan really like children?"
Shi Wan had just finished greeting a few students' parents who came up to exchange pleasantries when she felt a force pulling her back around her waist. As she turned around, she bumped into a man's broad chest.
Hearing the deep, resonant voice beside her ear, her cheeks flushed, and her voice trembled slightly as she refused, "What did you say? This is at the school gate..."
As she spoke, she raised her hand and gently patted the back of his hand that was wrapped around her waist, not daring to make a big movement, for fear that others would hear their conversation.
"You heard that... Okay, I'll go back and ask you again tonight." A sexy, deep voice rang in her ears, and Shi Wan's ears burned red.
"Don't do that, or it'll be on the front page of the news again tomorrow." Shi Wan pulled away the hand that was around her waist.
Fearing that Lu Jingyan might do something inappropriate that would be posted online, she quickly distanced herself from him.
Lu Jingyan noticed Shi Wan's deliberate attempts to keep her distance from him. Seeing the woman's flustered movements, Lu Jingyan couldn't help but chuckle.
She probably doesn't know that major media outlets were already rushing to write about him when he stood at the school gate, and it might not even have to wait until tomorrow.
