Chapter 103

Chapter 103

Cun Ziying suddenly looked up at Qu Xing.

It turned out that the person she brought into the world was really suffering. The haze she tried so hard to free him from still hung around him. He actually said this to her: OK.

But at the same time, a frighteningly bright light filled Cun Ziying's eyes. She took Qu Xing's hands, her lips trembling: "Really...really...are you saying this? You don't want to live anymore?...Why...you..." She spoke incoherently for a long time, and suddenly met Qu Xing's eyes.

Those eyes were so beautiful. Looking at them, she felt that they were just like their namesake, bright but not overwhelming, like stars, twinkling in the depths of the pure universe, without a speck of dust on them.

Unfortunately, it was only for a moment before its light was obscured by the lightly falling eyelashes. When I looked at her again, she looked completely different. The clear and sad eyes seemed to shine through her.

Qu Xing looked at her, moved his head slightly, and said again as if urging her, "Okay."

Cun Ziying's tears flowed like blood.

Qu Xing was startled, fearfully thinking: This must be a dream. Otherwise, why would her tears flow like this? Wake up quickly. Everything he's experiencing now is fake. He doesn't like this feeling... It's too uncomfortable. He feels like this dream has lasted long enough. He's so tired.

"Okay... okay." Cun Ziying clenched Qu Xing's hands tightly, causing pain in his wounds.

Qu Xing was startled again and subconsciously pulled out his right hand.

Cun Ziying was completely unaware and began to pull him closer to the lake.

After two steps, Cun Ziying suddenly couldn't walk anymore. Her wrist ached. She turned back, and for the first time, her child took the initiative and clenched her hand, holding it tightly to prevent her from moving forward. His eyes once again became Qu Xing's. He exerted force on his hands and stared at her intently: "I don't understand."

Cun Ziying looked at Qu Xing's eyes in fascination.

Qu Xing: "Why are you all so confused? You don't know anything. You don't understand me at all. What right do you have to say I shouldn't have come?"

Qu Xing asked this familiar yet strange woman a deep question: "Who are you?"

Cun Ziying turned around and took a step towards him: "I'm your mother."

Qu Xing shrank back in fear and held her hand.

"What is mother?" He said softly, "Mother is not mother, father is not father... Grandma is not grandma."

Cun Ziying's stomach twitched.

"You are nothing." Qu Xing took a step back. "Why do you decide my existence?"

Cun Ziying's brows raised, like a few golden cracks in the dark clouds in the sky. She smiled at Qu Xing with joy, but behind the smile, she left behind a terrifying sadness. She nodded: "Yes."

"We are nothing." Cun Ziying said happily, "Live well."

Qu Xing's heart skipped a beat, as if awakened from a dream. Almost instinctively, he lunged forward and grabbed Cun Ziying's waist before she could even move. She seemed to have gone mad again, her knees buckling as she knelt, turning to crawl back into the lake.

Is this a dream??

If this is a dream, I'd rather die with her!

But this isn't a dream, is it?!

Is this a dream?!!!!

"Come back!" Qu Xing clung to her desperately, "What on earth are you trying to do?! Do you really have to die? Can you really die?!"

Cun Ziying didn't look like a human. She was as twisted as Qu Hongfei in Qu Xing's memory, and truly twisted. She was truly a madman, her entire body radiating unnatural strength as she struggled and twisted towards the shore.

Qu Xing was scared to death.

Why do people become like this?

He exerted force with both arms, holding Cun Ziying tightly and trying to bring her back, saying, "Wait a minute! Why why why why... I beg you... Ah!!!!!!"

Cun Ziying rushed out like an animal.

His skateboard also fell down with it.

Qu Xing rushed over and saw someone on the other side quickly jump down and swim towards Cun Ziying.

Where is he from?

Qu Xing didn't know.

Maybe he made it up in a dream.

It's time to wake up.

How ridiculous.

The rain finally began. It lashed down fiercely, blanketing the sky and earth, drowning out all other noise. Cun Ziying struggled in the water, and more and more people jumped in, even though there had been no one around just a moment ago.

They shouted for help, and Qu Xing saw and heard it clearly, but it was soon completely covered by the rain.

The surroundings were flooded in an instant, and only his small area was blocked by something. Everyone was soaked, but he was the only one who was clean, with ice cream left by the little girl on his body.

It was a dream. Only dreams could be so absurd and so lucky.

Qu Xing lay on the shore, retching for a while. His whole body felt limp, his head dizzy from not eating and vomiting. His stomach was throbbing restlessly, and along with his head, it made his entire body ache. Everyone was focused on the lake, no one noticed this small corner. Cun Ziying was forcibly pulled to the opposite shore. She twisted wildly, banging herself against a tree, completely losing her mind.

Qu Xing watched in horror. That was until the men, cursing and holding her down, shouted that they wanted her sent to a mental hospital. Then they gradually disappeared. Only the rain continued to fall furiously.

Ling Yin woke up today and didn't see Qu Xing's report. He called several times via video, but no one answered. He then asked Zhou Si to contact someone at the base.

Zhou Si was in contact with Yue Peng.

"He went out in the afternoon," said Yue Peng.

Zhou Si: "Out? To the hospital? No one is with you?"

Yue Peng: "Didn't he go there alone?"

"Where is the driver?" Zhou Si asked.

Yue Peng: “I don’t know.”

Zhou Si: "Didn't I ask the driver to take him there?... Forget it, I'll call the driver."

"He went out by himself!" Yue Peng couldn't help but shout a little loudly, then lowered his voice after realizing what was happening: "He went out on a skateboard."

"Oh." Zhou Si made a reassuring gesture to Ling Yin. "Okay, then we should just go out and have some fun. It's okay, let us know when we get back. You guys take good care of him, especially his emotions, and be tolerant if anything goes wrong... But Xingxing has a good temper, so there's nothing to be tolerant of."

Yue Peng's expression was strange: "Oh."

Zhou Si nagging, "Call me if anything is wrong, tell me immediately. Don't let me know if you faint again. Don't mention anything about your hands, mom and dad, grandpa and grandma, okay?"

Yue Peng was impatient, but he didn't dare to lose his temper in front of his boss: "Yeah."

Zhou Si: "If you feel that he's in a bad mood, you guys should comfort him more and divert his attention, okay."

Yue Peng couldn't help but mutter, "It's not a giant baby."

Zhou Si made a "tsk" sound.

Yue Peng: “I know.”

"Call me when the person comes back, okay?" Zhou Si emphasized again.

Yue Peng took a deep breath and just wanted to hang up the phone quickly. He held his breath and said, "Yeah."

Zhou Si: "You must call. Don't forget! This kid doesn't even answer the phone."

Yue Peng gritted his teeth and said, "I understand."

Only then did Zhou Si hang up the phone reluctantly.

"It's okay." He rubbed Lingyin: "I went out to play on my skateboard by myself. I guess I didn't hear you. You should train hard first. You have a competition tomorrow."

Ling Yin frowned and looked away.

Zhou Si sighed. He thought to himself, this guy is really into it. It's only been a week, and he's already so anxious.

Ling Yin trained while waiting, figuring it must be dark over there. The base still hadn't called back, and Qu Xing hadn't replied either. He felt increasingly uneasy. Seeing Zhou Si come in, he said, "Ask the others at the base."

Zhou Si frowned and said nothing.

Ling Yin frowned suddenly: "What's wrong?"

Zhou Si cursed with a gloomy face: "Damn it."

Ling Yin panicked: "Why..."

A notification chimed from an app on his phone, and Ling Yin quickly opened it. The livestream room with his name on it had begun broadcasting. The background wasn't the base, but a wall of bookshelves filled with books. Qu Xing showed his face for a brief moment before turning his back on him, chair and all. He crouched down, searching for something.

Zhou Si saw it, came over to take a look, and immediately breathed a sigh of relief: "Oh my, I was scared to death. I thought something was wrong with the gas."

"Angry?" Ling Yin asked, holding the phone.

Zhou Si put the phone in front of him and said, "Listen to it yourself. I have already fired him."

"When did someone like this get into the base?" Zhou Si cursed, "Damn it."

Peng An sent a voice message to Zhou Si. He had originally planned to discuss the situation after MSI was over, but after much thought, he was still furious, and seeing that Qu Xing hadn't returned, he simply recounted what had happened today.

Zhou Si let Ling Yin listen as he spoke, "I was wondering what was going on. A black man sneaked into the base. Xingxing has never been bullied like this in her life. No wonder she was so angry that she refused to leave. I think she's..." Zhou Si was about to move closer to see the background of Qu Xing's live broadcast when he saw Ling Yin's expression. He choked.

Others noticed too.

Jiang Lin glanced at Ling Yin's terrifyingly gloomy face, then glanced at Zhou Si: "Bullying?! Someone is bullying Xingxing??"

He stretched out his hand towards Ling Yin, "Let me hear it?!!"

Ling Yin took a deep breath with an expressionless face, handed over the phone, and turned to look at the screen on his phone.

Qu Xing still had his back to him, perhaps sitting on the floor. The camera only captured a tuft of hair on his head, which occasionally vanished with the owner's inexplicable movements. The comments were doting, praising even that tuft to the skies. Then Qu Xing seemed to freeze, the strand of hair unmoving for a long moment. Ling Yin also stared at him for a long moment, then picked up his phone to send a message to Qu Xing.

--Star?

The strand of hair moved.

He heard a thud, and the man completely disappeared from the camera. Ling Yin imagined his posture and felt that he might have fallen directly to the floor.

Line - in

OK - you didn't hear me when I called you via video

--fine

——Are you still angry?

——Zhou Si said he had fired that person

OK—who?

?

What who?

——The one who bullied you

Qu Xing was silent for a long time before sending a message:

OK - Oh

OK - he didn't bully me

OK - but just fire him. I don't think he really likes this job.

Ling Yin felt something was odd. The stars seemed a little cold.
