Chapter 5

Chapter 5

"You haven't told me yet, what does it feel like to play in the game?" Qu Chen sat upright on the side, his eyes fixed on Qu Xing who collapsed on the bed in a disgraceful manner.

Qu Xing looked at the ceiling.

“…”

"A warm feeling." Qu Xing said quietly.

Qu Chen's eyes trembled slightly, and he unconsciously leaned closer to Qu Xing: "Is it as hot as summer?"

Qu Xing didn't know whether to laugh or mock, his laughter was short: "Anyway, it's not the summer here."

Qu Chen: "Oh..."

Qu Chen: "Brother."

Qu Xing stared at the ceiling light in a daze and didn't hear anything.

Qu Chen moved closer and stared into Qu Xing's eyes: "Brother."

“…”

"elder brother!"

Qu Xing finally heard it, opened his arms wide, and turned to look at him while lying there.

Qu Chen thought for a moment: "What kind of person is your grandmother...our grandmother?"

Qu Xing's gaze froze, and the coldness in his eyes suddenly disappeared.

This question is a bit difficult to answer. Grandma's personality can't be summed up in a single sentence. He thought for a moment, smiled, and tilted his head to the side: "People like me."

On the day he came, he dyed his hair back to black. There was no dazzling color, his pupils were clear and bright, his eyelashes were long and curled, and when he smiled, his little canine tooth on the left was exposed. His whole face looked like a flawless gem, dazzling and without any haze.

Qu Chen looked at him silently. He thought his brother would say something gentle and loving, but he never expected this answer.

His face was expressionless, but his tone was full of envy: "That grandma is so cool."

Qu Xing tilted his head to look at him: "Chenchen, teach me how to escape."

Qu Chen: "I can't get out."

"You can't get out either?" Qu Xing's smile faded.

"Dad locked me up here too."

Qu Xing was silent.

"But you will be able to go back sooner or later, believe me." Qu Chen looked at him steadily.

"Of course I know that Qu Hongfei can't trap me forever." Qu Xing raised his eyes and said, "But I need to go back immediately. Right now. If I have to wait for several months, or even a year or two to go back, my brother will go crazy."

Qu Chen nodded: "You will be able to go back soon."

What's the use of just one sentence? Qu Xing put down his hand and threw himself back, turning his back to Qu Chen.

"After you go back, can you find a chance to pick me up and go play with me?"

"..." Qu Xing: "...No. I can't come to this place again."

Qu Chen's pupils trembled and he couldn't help but shrink back.

"You can come here by yourself."

Qu Chen raised his head, and for some reason his tone became anxious: "I will definitely go."

Qu Xing smiled - if Qu Hongfei knew that his youngest son wanted to escape from here so much, he would probably be furious.

"With you like this, your father's family business is definitely over."

“…No.”

Qu Xing lazily fell on the soft bed, closed his eyes and didn't want to talk anymore.

For the next period of time, Qu Xing continued to try tirelessly every day to find flaws in this airtight house. However, his findings over the past month were the same: this shabby place and the shabby people in it were all equally cold and solid—except for his shabby brother.

He didn't know why a rich young man who wore designer clothes every day gave him a tattered impression. Perhaps it was because his eyes were hazy, his expression tense, and his body was frail and thin. It was like an adult's face was sewn onto a child's body.

For example, he was currently sitting weakly on the side, speaking to a man wearing glasses with a cold expression. Then he nodded.

Then the man came over.

"Let's go, Master."

Can I finally go out?

Qu Xing's eyes lit up and he turned his head quickly: "Where are you going?"

"The boss asked me to take you to see a place."

Qu Xing started walking: "Come on, open the door quickly and let me breathe some fresh air."

Qu Chen suddenly called him: "Wait a moment."

"What?" Qu Xing turned around.

"Take your luggage with you." Qu Chen looked upstairs.

The man with glasses wondered, "Do I need to bring luggage?"

Qu Chen shook his head: "Brother, it's better to take the important things with you. We may have to stay there for a while."

Qu Xing thought about it and thought it made sense. He quickly went upstairs to pack his luggage, especially locking his grandmother's diary in the locker. When he came down, he found that the door was already wide open, letting in sunlight and air. The man with glasses was waiting quietly at the door.

Qu Xing felt as if the man with glasses was glowing. No matter where he went, at least he could finally get out.

"Let's go." The man with glasses took the luggage for him and reminded Qu Chen: "Young Master."

"Yeah." Qu Chen had no expression on his face and typed quickly on his phone.

Qu Xing glanced at him. In the gap between the anxiety about whether there would be a chance to escape, he thought: Is my little brother in love?

Sitting in the car under the supervision of the bodyguards, Qu Xing looked at Qu Chen strangely: "Why are you so nervous?"

Qu Chen's eyes trembled: "Ah?"

"Who do you want to see?" Qu Xing asked.

Qu Chen: "No."

Qu Xing: "Girlfriend?"

Qu Chen: “…No!”

“…” So decisive?

Qu Xing thought of something and widened his eyes: "Are we going to some weird place?" Some kind of foreign black industry chain or something...

Qu Chen: "No..."

Qu Xing turned around and asked, "Can I not go?"

"No," the man with glasses said coldly, "Young Master, you should listen to the boss."

Qu Xing slumped back in his chair and stopped talking.

The car moved steadily along. Outside the window, the houses became increasingly sparse, and the scenery became increasingly desolate. Gradually, only towering trees remained on both sides of the road.

With a serious distrust of his biological father, Qu Xing's heart was as desolate as the scenery outside the car window.

He glanced at the driving interface.

The car speed is 170 km/h.

Jumping out of the car will kill you.

The roar of an engine could be heard from behind, approaching. Qu Xing was expressionlessly lost in the terrifying thoughts his mind was feeding him when he suddenly saw a red sports car zipping past. Instead of receding, it suddenly slowed down and blocked the way.

The driver of the car swerved left and right like a drunk, looking for trouble. If they turned left, it would turn left, and if they turned right, it would turn right.

What's going on?

Qu Xing held the handlebars tightly, and was just as he was being shaken dizzy when something was stuffed into his hand.

Qu Xing looked down.

His cell phone!

Qu Xing looked up in shock. Qu Chen leaned over and whispered in his ear, "Get out of the car as soon as it stops."

Qu Xing looked at the red car, then at Qu Chen. His mind suddenly became clear - it turned out that the kid was so nervous just now because he was secretly doing something big!

There was another roar from behind, and another car was approaching from the side. The red car was slowing down, and finally it came into close contact with their car.

The man with glasses was forced to step on the brakes.

Without Qu Chen's reminder, Qu Xing quickly opened the car door and jumped out. Later, three or four young men got out of the car, opened the front door and got in under Qu Xing's stunned gaze.

"Click!" the trunk opened. The man, whose arms were pinned by the two men who had suddenly barged in, couldn't struggle. He yelled, "Qu Chen! You dare let your brother go? Haven't you thought about how the boss will punish you?!"

Qu Chen handed the luggage to Qu Xing: "I will go to watch your game, brother."

The sunlight was sparse on the deserted boulevard, three cars were close to each other, and Glasses was still struggling frantically amid the buzzing sounds of several cars.

"Hurry up and let these low-class friends of yours let me go! The boss will be very angry if you do this!"

Qu Chen didn't care at all. Seeing that Qu Xing didn't move for a while, he thought that he was worried about him, so he smiled and said, "It's okay, Dad won't do anything to me."

"...That." Qu Xing's eyes wandered between the two cars: "Which car should I take?"

Qu Chen: “…”

"The red one, he'll take you to the airport."

Qu Xing nodded and quickly pulled Qu Chen over to hug him: "Brother loves you!"

Qu Chen was left standing there in a daze with his face flushed red.

"Throw your luggage at the back and fasten your seat belts." An exceptionally young voice said with a smile.

The car zigzagged around a corner. "The last flight to China leaves in two hours," the curly-haired boy said. "I'll do my best to get you there."

Qu Xing: "Thanks... Uh!"

With a huge push on the back, the sports car rushed out like an arrow, leaving the black business car of the man with glasses far behind in the blink of an eye.

Qu Xing shouted amid the roar of the engine, "Your driving skills are a bit wild!"

The brother also shouted: "I don't have a driver's license yet!"

Qu Xing clutched his seat belt tightly.

I couldn't help but blurt out: "Fuck..."

"I've heard that! It's a Chinese curse word!"

Qu Xing said timidly: "No, I'm praising you."

"Thank you." The curly-haired boy laughed. "Don't worry, I've been driving for four years. I'm just a little unfamiliar with Chen's car."

The scenery just passed by receded again at an even faster speed. In just over ten minutes, Qu Xing was safely transported to the airport.

Except for feeling a little dizzy.

The curly-haired boy leaned against the car in a dashing manner and waved, "Have a nice trip!"
